Shipyard Plantation (a gated community) ... BeachWalk Villa ... The name says it all!
This large, elegant two bedroom, two bathroom, first floor end unit Villa is a short walk on a bike/pedestrian pathway to the Atlantic Ocean. There is a pull out queen sleeper in the living room. We offer you use of a beachside locker for your chairs and sand toys (we have some you can use). The swimming pool is across our driveway; tennis courts a five minute walk away. We have registered with an island bike company so our guests can rent bikes at discounted rates. Pets allowed with approval and agreement to our Pet Friendly Policy. $50 additional fee per pet. Max 2 dogs, No cats.
Inside we offer you beautifully decorated rooms with new appliances in the complete kitchen, a TV in every room, lots of hangers in every closet, and even a land line for your laptop. WiFi is available inthe area. Linens and towels included. We even leave you a starter set of soap, t. paper and paper towels. Outside there is a gorgeous fenced in deck, chairs, a table and chairs for dining, a golf course and lagoon view, and an electric grill for your use.
Our beach is long and wide. At low tide there are large pockets of shallow water, great for kids. A gated community, Shipyard Plantation offers 27 holes of golf, tennis, and miles of bike/walking paths. All you need bring are your own beach towels; everything else is provided to make your vacation perfect. We are in a good central location; very near restaurants, shopping, golf courses, etc. Everyone who has stayed here has been VERY happy, contented and complimentary about the accommodations.

Why the Owner Chose Beach Walk
We chose the Shipyard Plantation because of it's wonderful location and easy access on and off the island. Beachwalk was perfect because we could easily walk or bike to the beach. Tennis is within walking distance too. Our villa: we saw and we bought it! We're "making it our own" and hope to make it a permanent location for us.

We love trying new restaurants and talking to all the wonderful people especially dog lovers who roam the beach with their 4 legged companions. We meet so many people and always smile because so few are actually from the island. They came and never left!

We live in New Jersey and hope to retire to Hilton Head. Dawn is a Supervisor of Special Education Programs in Millburn NJ and Vince is a Realtor with handyman specialities. We love nature and enjoy biking and walking the beach when we are not relaxing on our Beachwalk villa deck, enjoying the serenity and warmth.

We stayed in this unit for 1 week in Jan.2012.We loved the location:2 minutes or less to the tennis center and the same for the beach.The unit was very comfortable,clean and communication with the owners was spot on for this last minute trip.Our dog loved the layout with it being a first floor unit and it felt like home.We love tennis,walking the beach and eating at the Sea Shack.We will return to this unit in the future for one of our impromptu visits to the island from Atlanta.Jon and Renee Pyle.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, pet owners, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children.

We had a fantastic time staying in this unit. The unit was just as described. Rental was easy, and communication with owners is fantastic -- they pretty much have all the questions answered and everything covered from the start. The unit is very pet friendly, and great location -- very short walk to the beach. Also, being in Shipyard, it is very central to the island, and close to many places to eat. Thanks so much for helping to make our vacation great. I would certainly recommend this unit to others, and plan rent it again in the future. Our German Shepherds thank you as well :)

We truly enjoyed our stay at this Beachwalk villa. Communication with the owners was very easy, as was booking. The beach is just a 5-minute walk, and the unit is across the parking lot from the pool. Nice roomy shaded deck to relax on. We'll be back!

Villa was in a great location, across the parking lot from the pool, and closer than most units to the beach! Deck was spacious, plenty of chairs, and gated so the dogs can hang outside safely. Kitchen was equipped with everything you could possibly need, nice big washer and dryer in the unit as well! The locker by the beach was stuffed with chairs, umbrellas, boogie board, sand toys, noodles...it's an absolute luxury to not have to bring all that stuff from home and not lug back and forth to the beach!! Clean, comfortable, and can't wait to return!!!

We were very impressed by this unit. It was comfortable, spacious, the showers were terrific, great fully equipped kitchen, had a great back deck, and was so very close to the beach. The unit comes with a beach locker where the owners have graciously stored beach toys and a boogy board. This is a wonderful place to take your family. We will be back very soon! Thanks!

My family enjoyed a great week at the beach in July 2010. This was our second time to stay at Beach Walk. The process for booking was so simple. Check in and check out is also very simple. The unit was very nice and clean.It had everything we needed.The price was a great bargain. It is one of the closer units to the beach. We rented bikes and had them delivered using the owners discount.I would certainly stay at this unit again.It is a great,affortable get away for a family.

Arrived and unpacked only to find the TV in the bedroom did not work. ( no cable ). The kitchen sink leaked. My wife sat at the dining room and the chair fell apart. ( leg broke off ) Needless to say we called the owner in New Jersey and they called the neccessary people to fix the problems. The only problem was the we had to wait for all the repair people to show up to fix the different issues. This took a couple of days. When we went to light the fire place we opened the flu only to have soot come down the chemney and cover the living room with soot. Clean up took another two hours. When we went to park our bikes outside and the bike rack fell apart. WHAT A NIGHTMARE . Sorry to say I would not recommend the property to anyone
Owner response:We were so sorry for the unfortunate string of events that were out of our control. New cable had been run and misconnected, a washer in sink gave way. The chairs have all been strengthened and the bike rack fixed. Unauthorized use of fireplace! We address all issues immediately and we very sorry for their inconvenience. Repair people in Hilton Head are very accommodating to guests schedules.
