Great for all! Our family included elders and teens and all were happy. Home is easy to get in and out of and accommodated everyone. Cabin is well equipped and location is terrific. Neighborhood was suitable for walking. Bathroom and kitchen upgrades were great. Owner's care is apparent and Jason was easy to work with from beginning to end and was responsive when we needed to reach him. We go to Big Bear regularly and will keep this cabin at the top of the list. We can recommend it to others without reservation.

We are so happy with our stay here that I don't know where to start. First things first: this is not a beater rental! Jason, the owner, was very quick to respond and helpful any time I had a question while my girlfriend and I were planning our trip. He also provided us with detailed tips about the Big Bear Lake area and information about the house, i.e. what was provided, what we'd need to bring (which wasn't much because the house was stocked), and how certain things worked. He was awesome about providing us with emergency contacts, which put us at ease because we arrived in the middle of a bad snow storm and got snowed in on our first day. The house is located in a quiet, more non-rental area. All of the houses here are well-maintained and spaced apart well. We didn't hear a single voice around us during our stay! The parking lot to Snow Summit is just two blocks up the street; you can walk to the slopes and, if there's enough snow, you literally can ski home. If you do decide to jump in the car, the Village (lots of shops, restaurants, and two theaters), 7-Eleven, Walgreens, Vons, Stater Bros., Starbucks, a home improvement store, and the lake are just minutes away along Big Bear Lake Road. The house was very clean and spacious, and the vaulted ceiling in the main room was a great touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with good-quality pots and pans. The glass, plates, and utensils were shiny and clean, too. We cooked a lot on this trip, so we became very familiar with this area of the house. We didn't get to use the outdoor deck just outside of the kitchen because it was covered in 12 inches of snow, but we did take advantage of the jacuzzi. Awesome! The bedrooms were very, very clean. So were the bathrooms and towels. The furniture was up-to-date and in great condition. Honestly, there was nothing "off" about this house. The carpet was spotless and even the floors were freshly waxed. I honestly cannot come up with a complaint. My girlfriend did wish that there were more board games available in the closet but I couldn't hear her over the sound of college football. DirectTV is provided! I highly recommend this cabin and I fully plan to return soon.

This was the perfect place for me, my Husband and our 2 sons in their 20s. This cabin was very clean & comfortable and we felt right at home during our stay. The guys were especially pleased having two quality large TVs, DIRECTV and free WiFi. We enjoyed relaxing in the well maintained spa, playing games on the large deck, and grilling most of our meals while enjoying the forest scenery. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed after a quick run to the local grocery store. The bedrooms and bathrooms have a nice supply of linens and are spacious along with plenty of room in kitchen and living-room. Great location in a nice neighborhood away from the main road yet very close to all the outdoor activities we planned. The owner is very friendly and responded quickly to a few quick questions we had and was very prompt in refunding our deposit. I would recommend this cabin to families with kids of any age as well as couples or a group of 6 friends.

Great location, ½ mile from shops and lake in one direction and ski runs and hiking in the other direction. Interior recently renovated, high quality decor, uncluttered and attractive. Well stocked. Very clean and fresh-smelling. Lots of hot water. Comfy beds. Feeling of privacy. Warm, airy and bright. Quiet neighborhood.

We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights, and were very pleased overall. The location is fabulous, and the neighborhood was very peaceful. The cabin itself was neat and clean, and spacious. It has a great redwood deck with a jacuzzi in the back. I would highly recommend this cabin.

Quiet and private, and yet only a 5 minute walk to the ticket counter at Snow Summit. Cute and well appointed house. People have been avoiding Big Bear lately becuase of the closure of the main road from LA. We came up the 38 to Big Bear with no problems and virtually had the place to ourselves. I highly recommend coming now.

The smell of cigarettes and pets was so strong that my kids were sneezing the whole time. It was so bad that even though we paid for four nights we left after two. And you have to take your garbage with you when you leave -- that's right you have to load your car up with a bag full of trash and find somewhere to dump it.
Owner response:The above feedback is not only disarming but absolutely unacceptable to me as a property owner, should it actually be true. I post today for the first time ever because I strongly believe this post to be inaccurate and not true, based on the following facts. The above tenant did not inform me nor complain of any obstacles at all. I take your feedback with a great assault and ask the public to do so as well. Should you have extended any communication at all, don't you think we could have supported you if these claims were actually real? I am in a service oriented business and cannot support you if I am not communicated with. The tenant before you stayed for 4 nights and had no pets. I highly doubt that your feedback is accurate based on factual tenant occupancy. We do not allow smoking - ever. If there was smoking in the property, my cleaning company would have reported so. I believe you are mistaken and misguided. There is a fireplace at the property which burns efficiently and vacuums the smoke thru the chimney. Disposing of your own trash in Big Bear Lake is traditional. It was in the rental agreement you signed before you paid for the property. Should that have been an obstacle, why did you agree to pay for the property? Have you ever rented a property in Big Bear Lake? Lastly, as a father of 2 young children, one with Autism and CP, I would never allow the condition of my property to be what you claimed. Why would you not complain, extend feedback or ask for support to make your "paid" vacation more enjoyable? I have never had a bad review until yours. I urge you to communicate with your property owner should you find something that does not meet your expectations. The facts don't add up. You ought to reevaluate your experience and own obstacles instead of pointing fingers. Look at the facts.

A quaint cabin with more than enough space made me want to move from my home in the NW. Jason was excellent in setting up the dates. The completely remodeled cabin was beautiful, warm and cozy with the fireplace roaring even in the short downpour overnight. I will be back again next year as the location was so quiet off the main road about a 1/4 mile yet so convenient to everything in town. Very nice bedrooms and a brand new kitchen make you never want to leave the cabin.

We had a great time on our weekend in Big Bear. Prior to our arrival, Jason was very accomodating & was always very quick in his responses to my inquiries. The property itself was just as described. While it was very nice, it was still kid friendly for our 3 & 7 year olds. It was a stone's throw from Snow Summit which we went to for a chair lift ride (which I'd definately recommend for those visiting during the non-ski season). We'd definately stay again!

My husband, MIL, and I enjoyed four nights in your beautiful cabin in early August. It looked exactly like in the pictures and was very clean. We especially enjoyed the deck. With the warm summer days, it was perfect for sunbathing or enjoying cool drinks under the umbrella. We also enjoyed the hot tub, including my 80 something year old MIL! The area was very quiet, and we're almost sorry we don't ski since it's such a short walk to Snow Summit. Jason made the rental process very easy. This would be great for anyone who wants to be close to the slopes, or a multi-generation family that doesn't want to deal with stairs. Thanks, Jason!

My wife and I recently spent 5 nights at Snow Summit Walk and it proved to be a great place for our vacation. The cabin was as described in the listing and was in immaculate condition when we arrived. It is in a very quiet neighborhood, which was exactly what we were looking for. I enjoyed the backyard spa several times which really added to the relaxation we NEEDED! Booking the cabin on line was pretty easy and the owner was more than helpful with any questions or concerns we had. Pets are accepted and we brought our golden retreiver with us and that really added to the enjoyment we had on this trip. I would not hesitate to recommend this rental to anyone.

My husband and I rented this cabin for a week in June and had a wonderful experience. The house is incredibly clean and comfortable with plenty of room to stretch out. The kitchen is well-equiped and offered a lovely space to cook in. The red wood deck is fantastic -- it's hard to beat sitting in the spa, looking up at tall pine trees in the afternoon or a sky full of stars at night. Jason runs the property wonderfully and we will definitely be back!

Hi Jason, Thanks again for opening your cabin to us. We were super relieved to see that your place was even better than the pictures, I was nervous about that. My family had a terrific time and the kids enjoyed exploring the property. For me, the best part was being able to walk to Snow Summit. I deal with parking hassles all day long at my job, it was great to not have that problem on vacation. My wife loved your kitchen and my mother-in-law announced, after her little arrival inspection, that everything was very clean, even the bathrooms. We look forward to coming back next year.

Having never been to Snow Summit we were hoping to find a place that had easy access to the slopes and town. This cabin was absolutely perfect for us being a five minute walk to the base of the mountain and a five minute drive into town. Well maintained and outfitted we were very comfortable for a long weekend. Hot tub on the patio was great for apres ski and the internet plus satellite dish for tv kept the kids entertained before bed. We cooked breakfast, lunch and dinner in the kitchen and had everything we needed other than the groceries. Compared to other places in this area and at this size the price was perfect. Renting was super straightforward and the owners are very good about communicating throughout the process. We'd go again for sure. Have fun and hope this helps.

The cabin was perfect for our family of four. It is centrally located to everything yet we still felt we were "getting away from it all". It's on a very quiet street nestled amongst numerous pine trees. The pictures from the website depict it perfectly. Kitchen was well stocked with amenities/utensils...just add food and your favorite drinks. We had everything we needed for a great snow/ski vacation. The walk to Snow Summit is five minutes, max, which is shorter than some of the public parking areas for Snow Summit. But again, when at the cabin, you would think Snow Summit was miles away. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the jacuzzi amongst the pine trees after a full day of skiing.

My family and I stayed in this home for the holidays and had an excellent time. The location is perfect - so close to Snow Summit! We were able to walk over there in about 3 minutes. The home is very nicely redone with all of the amenities you need. The back deck with the spa was our favorite relaxation spot after a long day in the cold weather. I would highly recommend this home for your stay! The best part of our stay was the fact that we could bring our dogs with us on our vacation.

I can't recommend enough staying at the Snow Summit Walk cabin up in Big Bear. Whether you are by yourself looking to unwind, with a family or friends to go skiing, or looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place to stay. I grew up in Oregon and have a total fondness for trees, mountains and Lakes and found that this property has it all and you wouldn't believe it's only a short distance from the sprawling Los Angeles area. It is a gorgeous property nestled under a forest of pine trees and ever so close to the ski resort and quaint idyllic town of Big Bear. The house specifically is well worth the stay alone. You would never have to leave the cabin if you are a homebody while most certainly thoroughly enjoying your stay. The kitchen is quite nice, the living room with TV and fireplace is relaxing, the bedrooms are comfortable with internet access, and the hot tub out on the sprawling wood deck is a year round treat. The hot tub is worth double mention. It rocks! I proposed to my fiance in November up here and found it to be the perfect cabin for both indoor and outdoor enjoyment. The quiet calm of the woods will offer you great nights of sleep and the charm of the town will draw you in for a variety of enjoyable eats and antique shopping. For all of you hikers or walkers, you will be blown away with options, even if you just simply start walking from the front porch. I love this place obviously and plan many returns to Snow Summit Walk. You more than get your money worth in this complete package. This cabin's look and feel and it's location to everything is off the hook!!! Book your stay while you can!!

This is a cute home located 2 streets away from Snow Summit! We rented it with our 2 young kids and a grandmother. It was roomy and comfortable for all. Had internet access which worked great for us too. The pictures adequately show the house. You have to walk a few steps in the snow to the jacuzzi but it is worth it! We rented 2 years in a row...biggest draw is its convenience to Snow summit. We would drive in the AM to drop everyone and their stuff off and the park back at the house and just walk home in the afternoon! One large master with a bath. Other two rooms are smaller standard rooms. Each with a closet. They share the hallway bathroom...which is bigger and had a tub. Any facility problem we ever had was handled easily and quickly. We have since rented larger places as we have gone with more people...but I would rent this place again if it was just my family. Was convenient, clean, cozy and had all modern conveniences.
