Relaxing and Beautiful Views

This was one of the best vacations we have had in recent memory. The views were incredible and the farm offered pleasant walks in the pastures or hiking paths to the brook and mountains. The barn was spacious and fully equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, the DR/LR was huge and perfect for a small romantic dinner or a larger family gathering. There was a game room with a pool table. The hot tub made for a wonderful night under the stars. Our dog welcomed all of the open space and hiking. He enjoyed visiting Lola (the cow), Skippy & Willie (the goats), and especially his fellow canine, Enders. The owners and caretaker were extremely friendly and ensured that we were having a great time. All in all, an excellent place to stay and we hope to be back soon.

All of the below comments are from the Boorn Brook Farm guestbook which has a permanent home in our barn! We simply copied them to this website for others to read.

Thank you so much for an absolutely wonderful place for our family to relax and enjoy our time together. What a truly incredible place you have created - and we are so blessed to have discovered it. Our hearts will always have a special place at Boorn Brook Farm - especially with Ender! :) Thank you for your warm and welcoming barn.

We had such a wonderful time here. It was picture perfect! Two feet of snow...wow! Hikes, walks, fireplaces, hot tubbing...and the hospitality! This was truly a magical weekend! We can't thank you enough for it all. The nature the people and the architecture are all sublime!

We arrived in Vermont accompanied by a Northeaster...luckily it was the windy, rainy type not snow! With the rain pelting down, occasional thunder and wild wind up to 30 mph or more we rolled into Manchester. For a brief moment the skies cleared and we saw a magnificent rainbow, the colors were breathtaking. Once again the skies clouded up with more rain and wind to follow. As we started up Benson Road toward the barn, the sky cleared with yet another beautiful rainbow rainbow right over Boorn Brook Farm! They say there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow. We didn't realize it until our weekend was over that we had truly found OUR pot of gold at the end of the rainbow here at Boorn Brook Farm. What a beautiful place to relax and get away! Now, totally relaxed we head back to our home in Massachusetts and our jobs at a busy middle school, about to once again face the everyday demands of young students, but with an impatient desire to return to our place of solitude. Someday soon, at Boorn Brook Farm. Thanks for all you did to create a wonderful getaway spot.

My wife and I were married three days ago! Returning to the barn where we got engaged almost two years ago, over in front of a fire, was so very special to us. We think of this place often and as we write this on our way out we can't wait to return. We know so many love this place also. Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

My family and I have been to Vermont countless times and we have stayed in a variety of places. Nothing....nothing comes close to your farm. The property is beautiful and the barn is very impressive. Each day my wife and I find something we didn't discover the day before. Every touch, subtle to obvious, is perfect. Most important is how our four year old son Mikey reacts to a place...and he loves it here. Mikey was very excited to meet all the animals on the farm and to swing on the swing. Our only regret is that we aren't staying longer. I have a feeling we'll be back. P.S. Thank you for making us feel important and special.

We had an amazing time staying here. It is so beautiful we do no want to go! George and Ender are the BEST and Wylee has already gotten weepy thinking about what it will be like to leave them and the goats. Yesterday was the best day we've had in a long time and we barely left the property. We hiked to the waterfall, played in the brook, swam in the pond, jumped on the trampoline and ran down what we call "dragon fly hill" with a big old rainbow above us. Pure magic! We thank you for sharing this beaufitul place with us. Thank you to Gayle for showing us around and being so sweet.

We can't thank you enought for a truly magical, wonderful place to stay and celebrate my grandmother's 90th birthday! The rolling hills, the wholesomeness of this amazing barn...the three little goats, the cow who is like a dog, your adorable sheep and the "guard" dogs were all an experience that left us longing for more! Thank you for the lunch and the hot tub! :) It was SO relaxing. We will be back in the summertime!

Thank you all SO much for sharing your beautiful Vermont home! We loved "the barn". My children had such a wonderful time at the pond, riding the Polaris, playing with Lola and Buzz and going in the hot tub. I love the mountains and the peacefulness (when the kids are asleep!).

Thank you so much for your lovely hospitality. We love the barn. Would like to live here (can that be arranged?). You know when you don't want to leave that you had a great time. And we both have dogs at home, your two babies made the day. We left some "biskies" for them by the phone for other lodgers to have them on hand. Last night we played "Taboo", drank champagne and cooked a wonderful dinner. Just a perfect night with good friends. We will be back. Have a safe and happy 2005.

As soon as we walked into this beautiful red barn we had an overwhelming feeling that it was welcoming us. It has warmth, beauty, charm romance and elegance. This is the place at 11:45 a.m. on November 20th, 2004 that we got engaged to be married. For that reason and more it will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We hope to return and be struck with magic again. Thank you so much for having us and sharing this wonderful place.

I am the only true guest! I mean, let's face it, the others...they come and go, tell you how beautiful your farm is, peep at the leaves, pet the dogs and swim in the pond...But do they buy a house in Vermont like I just did??? No!!! They might buy some cheese, go to an outlet store, even watch movie and tell you how lucky you are to live here. But do they back it up with some cash and a down payment? No! They're all just talk! I really love this place. I REALLY love your cow and your stinky sheep and your country bumpkin ways. I'm the REAL guest. Except now I'm a Vermont home-owner...and it's all your fault! I love it here.

A THIRD summer vacation spent at Boorn Brook Farm! A bit rainy this visit, nontheless an awesome time. A tennis match when we arrived (with John 10, Will 6 and Maggie 4) and a new movie theatre to show off! Thank you for a lovely visit again - we're ready to move!

Wow, what a transformation this place has taken on since last summer. A glistening pond, sporty tennis court, gardens, the cozy barn (it must have a more fitting name!)....hardly describes this dreamy guest get-away. Maggie (3yrs) really enjoyed playing with your daughter and loved Manchester and all of Vermont...it's still like a fantasy. You all have a wonderful spot. Thank you for letting us enjoy it!
