We stayed at Deluca's Delight the week before Easter for a family get together ski week. We had ages 18 months to 81 years old and it was perfect for everyone! One word of warning, the steps to the second level are steep. Could be an issue if you have moblity problems. There is however plenty of room on the main level and 2 bedrooms with attached baths on the ground floor so it worked perfectly for us. We had the max capacity and it was cozy but worked well. Within the first hour of getting to the cabin my brother and his wife were already saying how great the cabin was and how we should come back next year. The cabin has that great old Tahoe feel that is so hard to find, a perfect location, well stocked with plently of towels, comfy beds and all the cooking items you could need. It felt like home. One hour outside of Tahoe the 5 year old called grandma and grandpa on the way home crying saying she missed the cabin already. We hope to be back soon. Our clan highly recommends Deluca's Delight!

Deluca's Delight was fantastic! The house was just as spacious and roomy as the photos depicted. A perfect house for entertaining. I especially loved the roomy living room and dining room. The kitchen was well equipped, although there were a few things that would have been nice to have as well (ie; a pasta strainer/colander and a veggie steamer.) The electric griddle was missing its drip tray. But for a vacation rental it was a great kitchen! Spices, plenty of condiments in the fridge too. The complimentary bottle of wine was a great touch- Thank you! Great location, although its not actually ON the water, but just across the hwy from it. You have a great view of the lake. The backyard was actually the front yard, so not ideal for privacy, but great for parties. Plenty of parking for guest behind and in front of the house too! BONUS: One of the bathrooms has an AMAZING spa tub with jets that is perfect for a nice apres ski soak :) Bring Epsom salt and bubble bath! I would suggest adding a couple kitchen items (mentioned above) and a cord to connect an Ipod to the house stereo would have been great. I really regret not bringing my own. Overall, an awesome house for a weekend getaway with friends/family. Great location for skiing and snowboarding. I would love to rent from them again. Also, Carol was really great to work with.

Rented this property Superbowl weekend. Exactly as the photos describe and more! Very spacious and you'll find rooms/bathrooms in places you wouldn't think to look. Hot tub was what we needed after snowboarding all day! View is amazing! Looking forward to staying here again!

DeLuca's is a great place to stay

We had a group of 9, (2 couples, 1 grandma, and 4 kids under age 10) and this house worked out perfectly. We've been going to North Lake Tahoe every January for the past six years for a week, and this is the first house we have stayed at that we want to go back to. In fact we've already booked our trip for 2013. The large living room had plenty of comfortable seating for our group. We loved the huge dining room table and that the eating area opened up to the living room and kitchen. The hot tub was great as was the view of the lake. The jetted spa tub was also wonderful. The only negative comments we had about the house were that the beds are all very hard. There were no plastic storage containers to store leftovers. The kitchen knives were so dull that cutting through anything was difficult, and there were no coffee filters, foil, or some essential baking supplies such as baking soda/powder. Other than that, the house was well stocked, clean, offered plenty of towels, roomy, and easily accessible. We are looking forward to our return trip next year and would highly recommend this house to others.

We'll make sure we add some storage containers (they always seems to disappear)and we'll make sure we restock the coffee filters,and buy some baking soda/power. We'll get the kitchen knives sharpen! Our stay at Deluca's delight exceeded our expectations! The location was perfect, and the house was exceptional in all aspects; clean, modern, great view, incredible jacuzzi, and comfort. The only slight drawback was that it was a bit dusty which triggered allergies. Other than that, we were immensely happy to stay there, and would definitely recommend the house to others.

It was a real delight staying at Deluca's Delights! My family and friends rented this great cabin for the weekend of 5/13/11 to celebrate my daughters 1rst birthday, and it was incredible. Everything was perfect, from the initial contact with the owners to the instructions for the use of the house. The cabin was exactly from the photos on the website. It was very quaint and charming! The rooms and the bathrooms were a perfect size, the kitchen had everything, the dining room and living room were very comfortable and cozy. The hot tub was glorious, just the right tempeture and amazing to hang out in the cold night! And Lake Tahoe is right across the street, my husband and our friend had the audacity to jump right into it! ( we are city people!) Also, It was bear season when we went, so we got to see alot of wild life at night but for me that was a plus! And we were warned ahead of time by the instructions sent by the owner. We will definitely visit again! can't wait to return to Deluca's it's worth it! bears and all! Oh! they even had for us a welcome bottle of wine (nice touch).

Relaxing Family Getaway

We had my dad's 75th weekend here and everyone had a great time. Loved the 4br/4ba set-up and the dock access across the street. It was even big enough to host a nice dinner party for him!

We arrived in Tahoe on Sunday night after flight and rental car and the drive from Reno, all we wanted was to start our vacation and relax. We were very happy when we arrived, the cottage was spacious and charming, it was well put together and we both felt at home right away. We stayed for 5 days and it felt as if it were ours, it is everything that I would want in Tahoe; easy to find, quiet even though just off the main road, beautiful view of the lake and mountains, and all the amenities of home I cooked dinner several times and had everything I needed. Our family stayed at this wonderful house this winter. We arrived during one of the worst storms of the year, the house was warm and cozy when we showed up. This is a great place to stay, everyone had plenty of room to spred out and everything we needed was already there. We can't wait until we get to return to this gem overlooking the lake.

We had an amazing time in North Lake Tahoe. The house exceeded our expectations. We had everything that we could have needed for our week vacation, the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook, we had plenty of linens, beds were comfortable and the living area of the house fit everyone very comfortably. The view was amazing with being right on the water. Very convenient location to the mountains for skiing. Can't wait to go back in the summer to use the private beach area and all the patios that overlook the water. We found our vacation spot and house for years to come. Great, great house !!!

We stayed at Deluca's Delight for our family winer holiday. It is a wonderful spot to take the entire family. The house has great views of the lake as well as the surrounding mountains. It is located conveniently close to the nearby ski lodges. Our overall experience at Deluca's Delight was wonderful and I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

This is the perfect place for a beach getaway. King's Beach is just around the corner - beautiful beach and crystal clear water. The property is so pretty in the summertime and right on the water. It's great for an active vacation, hiking and biking or just hanging out on the beach. Great place! Can't wait to go back!

My family stayed at the cabin last summer and we had a fantastic time. The cabin was spacious, comfortable, and homey. The location was conveniently located a few minutes drive from the active north shore area where there was restaurants, beaches and water activities. We were a short drive from many different water acitivities, our favorite being the whitewater rafting trip. I had not been to Tahoe since I was a child and the location and homey feeling of the cabin was a key part of making the rediscovery of Tahoe a memorable experience for my children and our whole family. Many thanks to John and Amy for being such gracious and accommodating hosts.

Excellent location for skiing!

Myself and 3 other guys rented this place out for our annual ski trip. We really like this place for it had more than enough room for all of us. The rooms were great in size and the dinning/living area was large and spacious. The location was great for we were right in between all of the ski resorts in Tahoe. This is an easy drive to Squaw (25 min), North Star (15min) and even to Heavenly (1 hr). The best part of the cabin was that it was right off the main road and easy to get in and out of. Also the grocery store was minutes away, so we ended up using the kitchen to cook a few meals. In addition we really enjoyed the hot tub that was well maintained and was already hot when we arrived. The only down fall of this place was that there are not too many restaurants in the area aside from a steak place and a bistro close by. Though there are tons near Tahoe City and a bit farther. Overall this did not bother us too much since we had a great kitchen at our disposal. Thank you Deluca's for sharing your home with us. Ronak

Our family has enjoyed many stays at DeLuca's Delight. We enjoy skiiing and playing in the snow in the winter and relaxing at the Lake, riding bikes and playing at the park in the summer. There is so much to do near the cabin that trying to fit it all in is the hardest part. The cabin easily sleeps all of us, kids, parents, grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. It is very comfortable and there are plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to keep everyone happy. Our favorite part of the cabin is sitting in the hot tub on the deck and watching the lake!

My family has spent two amazing Christmas holidays at this property. It is so gorgeous in the winter time. It's super close to skiing and spas (for the ladies!). The cabin is spacious but really cozy. There is plenty of room for whole family and lots of space in the kitchen to make big family dinners. After our first Christmas spent at DeLuca's Delight, we were so impressed, we booked the very next Christmas rigth away. What a wonderful place to spend the holiday.

Wonderful Memorable Times with Family

Our time at the cabin was wonderful. There was plenty of room for everyone and it was very homely. We enjoyed every minute. The kids loved being able to go out on the front porch and feed the squirrels and birds. It was clean and just about everything we needed was available in the cabin, and if we did need something, it is minutes from a grocery store. Being able to walk across the street for a beautiful view of the lake was great. We hope to go again soon. I would definitely recommend this cabin to everyone!
