Enjoy a quiet escape to the mountains. Five miles from Ski Windham and 13 miles from Hunter Mountain. This lovely little three bedroom, one and-a-half bath log cabin located in the northern Catskills sleeps nine people.
Bedrooms one and two (downstairs) each have a double bed. There is a futon in the living room. Bedroom three (upstairs) has four twin beds. This room is PERFECT for the kids! Two car detached garage, TV/DVD player/satellite. Stereo/CD player. Fully equipped kitchen. Woodburning stove. Sliding door out to large deck with a "woodburning" hot tub (the kids get a real kick out of this). Nestled in the woods, set back off of a quiet road. Three acres to explore!
Only two and-a-half hours from NYC...but a world away! Come and enjoy all that the area has to offer, or sit back and just enjoy a quiet weekend in the woods. We are sure you will love this cabin as much as our family loves it! This cabin is ideal for one or two families with children.

**Hot Tub note - Due to extreme temperatures in the mountains, and the possibility of the water access or drain freezing, we can not guarantee that the hot tub will be available December - March. We do our best to keep it functioning in the winter but the tub is an "extra" - please don't rent the cabin in the winter if ability to use the hot tub is crucial...we don't want anyone to be disappointed!
Just MINUTES from fun activities year-round. WINTER: downhill/cross-country skiing and snow tubing (Windham and Hunter). SPRING and SUMMER: beautiful hiking trails and some of the regions best fly fishing. Excellent golf courses. FALL: unbelievable fall foliage as well as many festivals. Sixty miles from Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame) and 30 miles from Woodstock. Many choices for casual and fine dining.

Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2004
Richele and Craig Lieboff. We have been married for 15 years, and have 3 boys. We love spending time at "the cabin" all year round. Our boys have grown up skiing and riding at Windham. In the summer, afternoons are spent hiking, fishing, swimming in the river or lounging at the cabin.
Why the Owner Chose Windham
We chose Windham because the area offers great activities year round. It's just 3 hours from our home in Hopewell, NJ (and just 2.5 hours from NYC), so it makes for an easy weekend getaway.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
We love the privacy of our little sanctuary in the woods. Our Viszla "Rez" loves the freedom of roaming our 3 acres....and the many open acres that surround us. The boys like making fires in the ring outside and riding their dirtbikes through the field.

Six adults used the cabin for a long weekend in late July. The cabin was cozy and comfortable. Surprised that sheets and towels were included and it was a real treat not to lug them from home. The cabin is perfectly situated for golfing, hikes and even a day at Saratoga Raceway. Very pleased.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family and I joined another family for a visit to this cabin for the second time this year! The house comfortably fits 2 families. We spent a weekend Skiing in January and thought that the house and location would make a great summer stay! Even though the weather was not great we had a GREAT time. We took a ride to the falls, ventured to Howe Caverns and hiked around town. We are thinking about a fall visit, right around the time the leaves change! thanks for allowing us to share your home!

My husband, 15 month daughter and I stayed in this cabin for a week in June 2010. It's in a great location - 9 mins to Windham town center - and easy to get to from Rt.23. It's surrounded by trees and grassy areas for a good game of ball. Across the street are fields and a farm with some horses I was most impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin and new feel. In the heat of summer I'm sure the house is nice and cool with great big evergreen outlining the property. Thumbs up. You will enjoy yourselves.

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. Didn't use the hottub for fear of using it wrong/melting it. But the cabin and it's surroundings were lovely.
