Our cabin is located in the gated and family oriented community of Big Bass Lake. On our quiet 1.5 acre property, you can enjoy all the peace and tranquility of a great escape plus all the activities that Big Bass Lake and the surrounding Pocono Mountains have for you to enjoy. You can also enjoy swimming throughout the cold months in our heated indoor pool.
Our well kept cabin will delight you. We have a covered porch with a swing that overlooks the woods, a cheerful country decor with plenty of restful spots, and a wood burning stove to keep you cozy and warm in the winter.

I am a stay at home mom and a graduate student of marriage and family therapy. My husband is CPA who is also an Elk, Pop Warner Commision and an avid Rutgers football fan. I enjoy getting to know our guests and helping them make sure our cozy log cabin and community is the right one for their vacation and helping ensure their vacation is trouble free.
Why the Owner Chose Big Bass Lake
We bought this vacation home for our family, but enjoy sharing it with others when we cannot use it ourselves. We fell in love with our beautiful, log cabin and knew it would be the perfect place to escape from our busy lives. There is plenty for everyone to do, but no pressure to do anything at all.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
I love enjoying all the natural beauty of our cabin, property and mountain and lake community. To me there is nothing better than curling up with a good book in front of the woodburning stove, or relaxing on the porch swing or by the lake on a beautiful day. I also enjoy outlet or antique shopping. However, my children and husband often have me out and about enjoying the plethora of activities both in our community and in the Poconos. Some favorites include playing tennis, basketball, swimming at both the lake and pool, hanging with any new and old friends at Big Bass Lake, and going to the family fun center or wild animal park.

Adorable, cozy, clean and so quiet and comfy!! Perfect get away for family and friends. Great for relaxing , enjoying the beautiful surroundings, including the plentiful deer. Just nice to hang out and do nothing or take in the mountains for winter fun and sports and of course, shopping- if you like the outlets. The owners are very nice to deal with and should be very proud of their home ;) Definitely recommend to others and would go again outselves.

We have enjoyed the peace and tranquility of staying in the cozy cabim at Big Bass Lake for severeal years. Our teenage sons swim, fish and have made several friends at the clubhouse that they look forward to seeing each summer. My husband enjoys fishing at Bass and Larsen lake and we enjoy long walks and bikerides through the mountains. The Owner is very helpful and personable. Its a favorite place of our families!

My wife and I love the Fall but we had never stayed in the mountains to enjoy it. This year we decided to go to the mountains instead of the Jersey shore. We searched the internet for a cabin rental and found Cozy Log Cabin. The owner was very helpful from the beginning and easy to communicate with. When we arrived the place looked just like in the pictures but better. It was clean an it had the smell of wood (everything is made of wood). We liked the privacy and where it was located. Beautiful homes and cabins are located in the gated community. We went for walks, bicycling and brought binoculars to see the wild life and the beauty of the lake even closer. Deer came onto the property everyday. Local restaurants were very nice and people very friendly. I recommend the Cozy Cabin to anyone if you want a quiet get away to enjoy nature.

The loft sleep sofas were broken, and the sleeping really isn't comfortable for adults in the loft. The pool/clubhouse facilities were closed almost the whole time we were there, the owners had no idea how the woodstove worked, they did not have it cleaned, and caused a dangerous fire while we were there. The owners showed no concern whatever about these problems, and took no responsibility for them. Rather, they nickle-and dimed us about the payments (which they received on time) and kept part of the deposit illegally because they know it was not worth it for us to sue them. We've been renting around the country for the past 10 years, and we have never had a negative experience with an owner until now. They seemed nice in the beginning, and turned very sour due a needless ordeal.
Owner response:We are nice! We continued to be responsive to these guests throughout our interaction with them. We follow the lease agreement and the law regarding security deposits, and only take money from a security deposit due to negligence. All guests are asked to review and sign the lease before any reservation is final. We welcome all feedback from our guests because we want to keep the cozy log cabin clean, well functioning and beautiful. It is our family’s vacation home as well as our guests!

Our boys, 8, 6 and 2, wanted to go camping, but Mom and Dad didn't want to brave a tent. The solution... The Cozy Log Cabin!! It has a real log cabin feel with the major conveniences of running water and electricity. From swinging on the porch swing to family movie night up in the loft, we all had a great time! We even saw a deer right out the kitchen window as we were preparing breakfast one morning! A very positive experience.

I spent a weekend at the cozy cabin with a very good friend for a mental break from the husband and kids and it was exactly what was needed. It was the perfect place for a girls away weekend. The atmosphere was refreshing and the cabin was inviting and clean. Everything about my weekend was what I needed to rejuvenate. There was nothing better than the clear air, runs and walks within nature and the warmth of the people. I will be returning as guest and will recommend this cabin to all my friends.

My wife and I loved staying here! From the moment we stepped inside we felt the special touch that makes this cabin feel so inviting. The loft was a great place to kick back while not feeling disconnected from the rest of the cabin. The community was quiet, a great spot for some much needed solitude. All in all, a great place for a weekend escape!

We spent a long weeked at the cozy cabin while it was still chilly outside with a few friends, and had an absolutely fantastic time. The cabin was perfect for a relaxing weekend, complete with a deer sighting in the front yard. It's really close to just about everything you'd need, but still secluded enough for plenty of privacy. The owners were a pleasure to work with, and we felt we were in great hands throughout the process. I would definitely recommend staying here to my friends.

We had a great time in the Cozy Log Cabin. The description is exactly right: charming, quaint, beautiful...it truly is the perfect escape. It's close to skiing and many other attractions, but you may not want to venture out because there's enough in the Big Bass community to keep the whole family busy! The only problem with this place is you won't want to leave!

Sue and I have visited 3 times now. We love to escape for a long weekend during the winter. The cabin is always clean and well kept and the owners have always been very accomodating.We have already booked for next year!
