We had an amazing vacation and stellar accommodations at Pike Lake. The house was comfortable and we loved the porch. It was everything that this site advertises and more. We hope to be back next year.

My wife and I and a few friends stayed at the cabin in late August of 2011. It had everything one needs for a great quiet time in the woods on a lake. Kayaks, canoe, ping pong, games...you name it. It looks exactluy as it does in the pictures and there were no surprises. A great place to stay with close friends and/or family if you are looking for a quiet, relaxed time. The lake water can be murky, so you may want to do some research in advance to determine the conditions.
Owner response:Pike Lake is a flowage type lake that remains very clean throughout the year. It is however a "stained" lake which may add to it's clarity issue. There's no algee particles floating around in it like many other lakes can have, so it's a great lake to swim, boat and ski in!

There were 6 of us that recently had the chance to stay the weekend at this beautiful lake house. We all had such a relaxing time and the scenery was just gorgeous. Close by we were able to go golfing and go through the wildlife park where there were many animals to see. We had the chance to walk with, pet and feed the deer. The following day we lounged around for the most part. Took out the fishing poles and fished right from the dock. We caught some pan fish, perch, and walleye. Our weekend was so refreshing and just what all of us needed from the hustle of every day life. We really appreciated this opportunity. We highly recommend staying here! There was plenty of room, the house was very clean, and there are plenty of activies!

The place is amazing! Everything as promised- nice and clean! The lake is quiet and the place offers a lot of privacy with all the woods around. The most important thing for us was (well, at least guys) was fishing. We have never had a better time doing it! We were catching huge bass, walleyes and pikes right off the fishing deck. We even had a close encounter with e huge musky, when he tried to eat our catch (28 inch pike tied to the fishing pier). When we got bored, we took fishing boat and explored the lake and the islands. Yes, there are two on Pike Lake and you can actually go there for a picnic. The whole experience with that place was amazing. We have found every possible thing there, that could make your time enjoyable. Even bicycles are there, so you can take them and explore the beautiful northern area. What a time we had. Thank you owners for a chance to enjoy your wonderful place and we will be back ASAP.

We stayed at the Pike Lake house over Labor Day 2010. There was more than enough room for our family of 4. We spent the days fishing, canoeing, and playing in the yard. We ate most meals in the screened-in porch and spent our evenings relaxing by the fire pit or reading in front of the fireplace. As our luck would have it, the local fire deparment's big fund raiser was going on and we got to see a great fireworks show. I would recommend the Pike Lake house to anyone who looking for privacy to spend quality family time. (we didnt use the TV, email, or cell phones for 4 days!). Good fishing right off the pier too. Caught a few over-sized crappie, and lots of panfish for the kids. Thanks to the owners for sharing this gem in the northwoods. We hope to come again and this time I will net that musky!

"We had a great time at your cottage the week of 7/18. Everything was just as we expected and as described in VRBO ad. The lake was great, nice and quiet compared to Round Lake. We enjoyed the kayaks and paddle boat which we used often. The cottage was comfortable; our two girls loved the lower level with games/movies/etc. The weather was a little cool and but we all skied -- some of us even wore a dry suit! We had two fawns visit us several times near the driveway; we loved all the wildlife – ducks, loons, etc."

We had a wonderful time. The new decks are a wonderful addition - a great place for coffee and watching the lake in the morning. The weather wasn't the greatest but the cabin provides a lot of fun activities even if the weather outside doesn't cooperate. a Very clean, welcoming place to spend some time!

We had a fantastic weekend at the Pike Lake house. The house had all the amenities that we required as well as some things we didn't expect. We never left the property once we got there as there was so much to do. Our dog loved swimming in the lake as did we. Can't wait to get back in the Winter! Thanks again!!!

Our week at the cabin was wonderful. The weather was very good - it rained one afternoon and it allowed us to play games inside and take a nap. Our daughter and her boyfriend came up for the last two days and had a great time too. The cabin is so very nice and comfortable. All the toys made it a wonderful place to come to relax and play.

We had a really great time at this Pike Lake Home. We stayed there the last week in June 2008 over the 4th of July. It was a very relaxing and fun vacation. We had a deer come up to the house and we saw a bear on the road coming to the house. The fishing was great too. Lots of Walleyes, perch, bluegill, northern and bass. The house had anything you would want to make a fun vacation. I was worried renting it without seeing it but everything worked great. We have rented in the Minocqua area for about 30 years now and have had our share of disappointments. This year made up for those. Our grandkids had a blast. Our 4 year old wanted to go back the first night she was home. We're hoping to go again next year. Thanks to Todd and family for a wonderful time.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your Pike Lake home. We have been vacationing in the Minocqua/Eagle River area for over 30 years and can honestly say that the setting and accomodations are the best we've experienced. Fishing on the chain was very good, and was especially pleasing because the lakes were uncrowded and very scenic. We observed an abundance of wildlife and caught a wide variety of fish. The cottage was clean, roomy, well furnished, and very comfortable. And all the extra amenities that are provided (particularly the game table, washer and dryer) set it apart from other vacation cottages I have rented in the past. I am hopeful I will have the opportunity to return again next June.

We had a very nice, quiet, relaxing time visiting up north. We did a little snowmobiling and relaxed by the fireplace. It was so quiet and beautiful, it seemed like we were the only ones around. I'd love to do it again.

Enjoyed a relaxing Valentine's weekend getaway. The wood burning fireplace was just the ticket to shake the mid winter chills. Enjoyed the beautiful views of the lake ... especially at night! Lots of deer and snowmobiles. Very clean an spacious vacation home. The game table provided many laughs and rematches. This is the perfect place to ride out a winter storm :) Also many good places to eat in the area. Thank you for being so accomodating, looking forward to a long warm weather visit.

We came up for a long winter weekend and to celbrate New Year's Eve. We had a great time snowshoeing and were quite impressed with the remote trails and local beauty! We enjoyed fires each night and found the house quite comforable. We're already looking forward to our next Northwoods visit. Thanks!

We had a wonderful time at this lake home. Our young children (and dog!)were able to swim in the lake right from the property. We enjoyed paddling around the lake with the kayaks and canoe. We even canoed to the island for more fishing fun. We were able to see many deer, a bald eagle and several loons and osprey. The house was perfect for our large party in that we could spread out throughout the house on the first floor and game room. The home was well equipped with games, movies, cooking utensils and s'more making sticks! We had a great week.

The privacy and large yard of this home is as good as you'll find. We loved playing cards on the screen porch at night, and swimming every day. We would definitely come back here.

We have a great weekend of snowmobiling. Plenty of parking for the trailers and rode right out from the cabin onto the lake and hooked-up with the trail system. Light out in the backyard is a life saver at night when coming home. Home was clean and well furnished. Great views out the back windows of the lake. Thanks Todd.

We enjoyed our Thanksgiving celebration so much that we've decided to consider 2006 the "first annual." Waking up to the most glorious sun rises, taking hikes in the most unexplored trails and being with our loved ones made it quite memorable. Thank you!

This was a wonderful place. Three generations from 6 to 65 had a great time. The home itself was immaculate and had everything you needed. The pictures do not do it justice. It is very accomodating for an older person for lake access, and the kitchen was well equiped and open to the beautiful lake view. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a perfect way to get away from the world, but still have the nicities of home.

We had a great family vacation at this house. The kids caught 10 fish off of the end of the pier on the first night. My daughter experienced kayaking for the first time and loved it. The home is very comfortable, clean and well maintained. It was a great place to relax and spend quality time as a family.

We had a beautiful stay. This feels like a clean, comfortable home, not just a cottage. Nice quiet, private setting. The owners are friendly and very accommodating. We had a beautiful kayak trip to explore the island & watch the nesting osprey. Had a wonderful mountain bike ride on the trails around the lake next-door. Highlight of the trip was watching the northern lights over the lake while sitting by our campfire.
