It is just a short walk to the Sandpoint beach walk-over or the neighborhood pool when you rent this new, gorgeous, fully furnished, 3 story, 3 bedroom, 3 bath house with ocean and pool views and 3 outside decks.
This fantastic 3 story house has it all with stainless appliances, 6 top table, bar top, DVD/surround sound, wireless hi-speed internet, and flat screen televisions in every room! Perfect for a party of 8, it has 2 queens and 2 full size beds, one an adorable full-sized Murphy bed (wall bed). It also has 2 twin inflatable mattresses.
The home is located just a few steps from the Beach Lodge, the only breakfast and hamburger joint on the beach in Port A. The garage features an extra washer/dryer and guest are also welcome to use the stainless fish cleaning station. There is an outdoor shower for cleaning up when you come in from the beach.
The popular Sandpoint subdivision is in town and close enough to bike to town for shopping, restaurants, and other amenities. The pool, hot tub, beach walk-over, and park next to the pool are all available for Sandpoint homeowners and renters.
The home features gulf views from the second level deck and pool and panoramic gulf and channel views from the spacious third level deck. Along with the other amenities you also have use of the charcoal grill and 1/2 of the oversized 2 car garage. There is also a dock cart (pulled by hand) that you can use for the beach or fishing and beach chairs & beach towels that guest are welcome to use.
The floor plan for this home is: Entering the home on second level above the garage there is an open living, dining, and kitchen area. There are (inside) stairs from the back of the living room to a second level with 2 bedrooms which share a full bath with double vanities. The stairs continue up to the large master suite which has it's own balcony and access to a large rooftop deck. The master bath features double vanities and a walk-in shower. There is a queen bed in the master bedroom, a queen bed in one of the second level bedrooms, a full size bed in the other second level bedroom, and a full sized murphy bed in the living room. There is also a full bath in the garage.
The beach is about 300 yards from the house at the end of the subdivision. In the photo labeled "view of neighborhood pool from spacious third level deck" on this website the beach walkover is located next to the green house in the background past the pool.

Why the Owner Chose Sand Point
We chose Port Aransas because it is easily accessible by car or plane from Austin, Houston, San Antonio, or Dallas. We feel that Port Aransas is the ideal getaway as it has a casual "beach town" feel with great dining, a nice beach, great fishing, and high end shopping while maintaining a small town feel. Port Aransas has many unique local restaurants and bars and there is not an abundance of high rise hotels and condos lining the beach.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is about 300 yards from the beach. There are ocean views from the covered second level deck across the front of the home and panoramic ocean and channel views from the third level deck outside the master bedroom and the spacious rooftop deck. The rooftop deck faces the Gulf of Mexico and is a great place to gather in the afternoon and evening to enjoy the ocean breeze and views. The home is decorated in a "Coastal Living" style with (faux) wood floors throughout, beadboard doors and trim, open cabinets in the bathrooms and kitchen, unique restored dressers and nightstands in the bedrooms, and decorations and artwork from local artist.

My wife is from the Corpus Christi area and I am originally from the Austin area. We both grew up spending our summer vacations on Mustang Island enjoying the beach. After we married in Dallas we lived in Seattle and Scottsdale before returning to Texas to raise our children. One of the reasons we moved to Austin from Dallas was to be closer to the coast. We spent several summer vacations when our children were young traveling to different beaches including California, Florida, Alabama, the Carribean, and Costa Rica while always going to Port Aransas several times a year. While deciding where to vacation 4 years ago both of our children asked why we were going anywhere except Port Aransas since it was our favorite beach vacation destination and had everything we enjoy as a family. From that moment our goal was to have a beach house in Port Aransas. We built our home 2 years ago and have been enjoying our frequent stays there while renting our home to others who love Port Aransas, fishing, and the beach.

The house is in great condition, clean and stocked with everything you need for a wonderful stay. The beach is a very short walk, 2-3min from front door to water. The nearby pool is nice and the outdoor shower on the house was great for washing off outside after the beach. We will definitely stay here the next time we vacation in Port A.

This is the perfect beach getaway house. It has everything that you need just to pack your bags and hit the road. House is AWESOME! Very comfortable and more than enough room. On the top deck you can enjoy sun rises and sun sets while over looking over the roof tops out to the ocean. I would stay here a million times. Owners are very accommodating and try very hard to make sure your stay is comfortable. Somewhere in the Sun is overall just a great place to stay while in Port A.
