Dream Big has 6 bedrooms, 5 baths and 3,500 sq feet per side. Outside of Summer, Holidays, & some Spring & events dates, you can rent just half of the duplex. It works beautifully to rent half, and have family or friends rent the other half, or you can come and make new friends by the pool.
If your dates are among those where we rent both halves together, we hope you'll consider one of our 6 bedroom duplex with a private pool. When Pigs Fly & Southern Surprise each have 6 bedrooms and a private pool.
Great duplex with lots of room to bring the whole gang. Come enjoy Gulf Shores beautiful sugar-white beaches. Summer rentals are Saturday-Saturday only. For events you must rent both sides and request approval from us.
Each side of Dream Big has 6 bedrooms, 5 baths and 3500 square feet spread over three floors. Everyone has some space of their own. Convenient West Beach area of Gulf Shores location 2.5 miles west of Highway 59--close to everything but away from the condominiums and crowds. Located on the north side of Beach Boulevard, directly across from the beach. Duplex has its own Private Pool and large deck for lounge chairs.
First floor has family room with TV/DVD, games, and beverage kitchen plus two bedrooms, two baths and a laundry right where you come in from the beach or pool. The second floor has a large living and dining area plus a kitchen with a big island and Two dishwashers. You will also find a bedroom and bath here. The third floor has three bedrooms each directly adjoining one of two baths. All floors have decks on the Gulf and pool/Little Lagoon sides.
Dream Big duplex has luxury details including granite in the kitchen and baths, tile floors throughout, and lots of windows. Each side has 2 refrigerators, 2 dishwashers, and 2 full laundry rooms.

Why the Owner Chose Homes, Single Family
We had our duplex When Pigs Fly which is just a few hundred feet from the lot on which we built Dream Big. We love this stretch of family-friendly West Beach where we are just a couple of miles from restaurants & shops, but in an area with just 4 rows of homes between the Gulf on the South, and Little Lagoon on the North.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Owning When Pigs Fly, and based on our own growing family which at that time was 18 (grandparents, parents, children), we knew it was hard to find a place where everyone could gather. We could have our family on one side, and the cousins on the other side. We put in the things we like or needed for our family--spaces for the kids, bedrooms that worked for parents with small children, a big pool area, grills, etc.
Fish for speckled trout, flounder, blue crab in Little Lagoon, 9-mile wide saltwater lagoon fed by Gulf.
Good food & service, GREAT margaritas, not much atmosphere:)

Water and amusement park with water slides, wave pool, lazy river plus arcade, go carts, small wooden roller coaster

We are a family with school aged children. We bought this bit of sand with a beachview with a dream of building a place where big extended families like ours could get everyone together. We didn't know at the time that life would lead to our living in Gulf Shores where we now manage our vacation rental homes and those of a number of our neighbors and friends.

A Wonderful Home Away From Home, Didn't Want to Leave

Our first stay was in 2008 for a couple's retreat and we rented both sides and were blown away. So much attention was given to the details. It's so much more than the pictures can show. When planning our retreat for this year, we didn't consider any place else. It had to be the Lemonade Stand. It's the perfect place for a large group. The kitchen is large, lots of seating, and all the bedrooms have private baths. Our retreat this October was wonderful. And, Susan was great to come help us with something as small as figuring out the remote for the TV. She was very friendly and accomodating. It was great meeting her. Would we recommend this property? A BIG YES!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Great accomodations for extended family stay of 16. 6 adults and 10 kids ages 3 to 17 yrs old. The 3 story floor plan worked great for everybody to spread out. Little kids could nap on top floor while teenagers played video games on lower floor. Loved the kitchen setup and huge table/living area on middle floor for playing dice game while others were entertained watching TV. We were still together but plenty of room to spread out with lots of seating and did not feel cramped or on top of each other. Pool was very nice and huge toybox and storage closet filled with pool/beach items to use. Even though the house is across street from beach, it's far enough down from the condo and commercial congestion that crossing the street wasn't an issue with letting kids cross the street. Bathrooms are huge and having two washer/dryers was very nice. Walked every day on the walk/bike path along street. Walmart and grocery stores 5 min up street. But would recommend steering clear of these Sat and Sun if possible. Really had a fantastic stay and would stay again.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers.

My family and I have been coming to the beach and renting for years now. And this was our favorite house! My sisters both have kids and it was absolutely perfect for our family and large enough for everyone to have their own space. We usually get a house right on the beach but this house and location did not disappoint because it is so close. The house is even more beautiful in person, and it was stocked with things we usually have to bring/buy on our own. Susan was a delight to work with! We will rent from GSVacation rentals again and would highly recommend then to everyone!!! Thank you for such a perfect vacaction and for being a part of our family making memories for years to come!

Our family came to Gulf Shores from several states and had a wonderful time during our week's stay at Big Dream. The home was very attractive [prettier than the pictures] and provided lots of space for being together and privacy when we wanted to be apart. Having a pool was a big plus with the grandchildren who liked that as much as they liked the beach! Our whole family enjoyed the Track amusement park and the Little Zoo that Could. Getting to pet and hold the kangaroos was a big hit with the children. We would highly recommend this property.

The house was wonderful!!!! We enjoyed being able to have a lot of space (it really helped when you have children). The kids and the adults loved having access to our own pool!!!! The house is beautifully put together and we loved the gourmet kitchen it was like being at home!!!! Thanks again and we will for sure be coming back for another visit!

The Dream Big duplex was the perfect house and location for Camp Smile-A-Mile to take 20 teens and 5 adult chaperones on our annual teen trip this past October. The house is absolutely beautiful, accommodating and perfect for large groups. The kids loved the private pool and each bedroom has a balcony! The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, cooking pans, plates and cups. It was clean and well kept for a rental house. We enjoyed our stay and we will be back!

Although the pictures listed here are not for the Lemondade Stand (they must be for Dream Big), the accomadations are awesome! My entire family which consisted of 23 rented the entire house and it was WONDERFUL! There was so much space - we could be together yet could each have our own space when we wanted it. The pool is absolutely heavenly! Our girls grew up at the pool - were on swim team and eventually became lifeguards and pool managers. So - our family LOVES the water and this pool had it all! The little kids had their own "kiddie pool" and there was room for all. The balcony's are great and the picnic area served us well. We would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be making a return trip back here. Thank you Susan for sharing your wonderful house with us!! P.S. My 81 year old mother weathered the steps very well - she felt very comfortable climbing up outside with the double railings. It worked out great even though an elevator would have helped. But she made it and loved every minute of it! THANKS AGAIN!!

Susan - all our family wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Dream Big. It was an absolutely beautiful home to vacation in. The pictures that are on-line do not do it justice. Everything was neat, clean, comfortable and modern. We all said several times during our stay that we had never stayed anywhere as nice before. We were a little hesitant about being across the road from the beach, but it turned out to be no problem at all. Everything was convenient. The pool area was beautiful, also. We all hope to make this an annual trip and we certainly want to come back to this home! Thanks for a great fall vacation! Jan Baughn

GREAT PLACE ! Beautiful and well located; everything is NICER than represented!We were a little hesitant about being " across the street" from the beach, but it turned out to be perfect and having a Private pool is a must! Susan was absolutely delightful to work with..really wanted us to enjoy our vacation.We are planning a return trip next summer!
