  Just came back from staying at casa sonrisa in tamarindo.. We only stayed four nights and was not enough time to enjoy our stay. This is a perfect place to stay in tamarindo Luke the owner was really Cool. The beach is just steps away and bout 5 to 10 minute walk to town and night life.. I recommend you try Lukes restaurant Kahiki very delicious. I look forward to coming back to staying here soon.. Thanks everything Luke

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

  I just concluded 12 days of vacationing in Tamarindo and stayed at Casa Sonrisa the entire time. My plan had been to move to a new location after six days, but after scouting out the other local offerings, I quickly realized that I wouldn't be able to recreate the wonderful ambiance, the warm hospitality or the proximity to the ocean that Casa Sonrisa offers. I am well traveled, and my stay in Tamarindo and at Casa Sonrisa ranks amongst the most pleasureable experiences I have had in a long time. Wendy

  We stayed at Casa Sonrisa for one amazing week over Christmas and had an awesome time. The pictures on the website do not do this vacation rental justice. The hosts Lukas and Andrea were extremely helpful and very welcoming when we arrived. I would say probably one of the best locations in Tamarindo in relation to the beach and the best value for your money. If you are looking for a clean, quite and relaxing place to stay that is minutes from the beach...this is the place. We would definately go back.

  We just spent 2 beautiful weeks at Casa Sonrisa. Comfortable beds, generous bathrooms and daily visits by local birds, monkeys, and iguanas. It was the perfect location down on the quiet end of Playa Tamarindo. Luke and Andreina are wonderful hosts and we are looking forward to returning next year.

  We had a wonderful stay at Casa Sonrisa in Dec., 2007! Luke and Andre were very helpful and terrific hosts. The location is excellent--it is right on the beach in a quiet area of Tamarindo. We also enjoyed seeing the monkeys that visit the property! We will recommend it to our friends. Thanks! Anelise & Mark

  Our stay at Casa Sonrisa in Tamarindo was amazing! Luke and Andre are wonderful hosts. I would absolutely recommend staying with them to anyone who is going to Tamarindo. It is a wonderful alternative to staying in the crowded hotels at the center of town. You can enjoy some peace and quiet and yet still walk to all the wonderful restaurants in 5-10 minutes!

  We stayed in five different hotels and lodgings in Costa Rica and the Casa Sonsrisa was easily our favourite. It is close to the beach and a very nice beach walk to town, this makes for a pleasant combination of seclusion without having to drive to dinner or shopping. Our hosts were terrific, we will stay there again. Cheers Wally & Michelle

  Casa Sonrisa was fabulous! Luke and Andre were excellent hosts and very helpful with local info. The casita had everything we could possibly need and is right next to the beach. Relaxing with fresh fruit smoothies in the hammocks every afternoon was a delight. The cute little 'congos' (monkeys)coming to visit in the mango trees every morning was a special treat. It was nice to have visits by Foxy Brown on the patio as well!

  The hospitality of both Andreina and Luke is unbelievable! Fantastic location with privacy, yet easy access to beach and town. Surf, restaurants, shopping, whatever your desire...Andriena and Luke will steer you in the right direction. The house offers a chill location with everything you could ask for in a casita...clean, modern, comfy, and spacious. We would not stay anywhere else but Casa Sonrisa. Also, 'Local Grinds' is THE restaurant to eat breakfast at. Pura Vida! M & T

  We loved our stay at Casa Sonrisa! The casita is clean, modern and extremely comfortable. The beach is very close and just beautiful! Morning walks along the beach, mid-day surfs and relaxing afternoons were just what we were looking for! The casita is a 15 minute walk (along the beach) to town- just far enough that it is quiet and just close enough when you want to go to a delicious restaurant or dance the night away! Andreina and Luke are excellent people and hosts, and we look forward to visiting our Costa Rican casita again!

  this place was the BOMB! not only were the hosts laid back and cool (hooked us up with lots of local fun)...but the house was perfect! it was very comfy (not all beds in Costa have this trait--SMILE) the hammocks out front were cozy for afternoon reading & naps...we even saw a few monkeys in the trees! the house is just a hop, skip & jump away from the ocean. we were only supposed to stay 2 nights, but extended our stay to 5 & had a total BLAST! i definitely recommend SonRisa!

  Casa Sonrisa was such a cute little casita just steps from the beach and an easy, romantic walk down the beach from wonderful dining in Tamarindo. It was so convenient having our own kitchen. Our favorite time was swinging in the hammocks. Andreina and Luke are great, friendly and hip hosts. They provided everything we needed- beach chairs, towels, even bug spray! We would love to stay here again!
