We had a very pleasant stay in Boulder Hill Farm. The house felt very warm and homely. Everything we needed was available and more! The rural location was wonderfull for us outdoor lovers, but the shops, attractions and restaurants of North Conway where only a 15 minute drive away. When we will plan another stay near the White Mountains we really hope this house is available for rental!Owner response: Thanks! When you come again, we'll order up some sunshine...Bruce

We stayed for a week in the lovely premises and explored the area around. Boulder Hill Farm is centrally placed between the mountains and the lake area, thus we were hiking as well as enjoying the walks at the lakes. The house was very comfortable, we spend most of our times in the house in the large dining area just adjacent to the kitchen. The house is loaded with all the needed neccessities, there is no need to bring much with you. We had the feeling, that the owner uses the house on a regualar base and shares whatever is needed with his guests. Even close to Route 16, we did not hear or see much traffic on the farm. Traffic on Route 16 was quite busy, heading west in the morning and east late. We are recommending the place, when you look for a quiet retreat, centrally located for hikers and nature loving persons. It is a perfect place if you want to retreat and enjoy the country side. And of course, for railroad enthusiasts . If we will be back in New Hampshire, we will certainly rent the home again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We spent a great long weekend here with some friends. We found Boulder Hill Farm to be a great retreat for two couples, two babies, and dog. The house was comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed cooking together in the kitchen/ dining room and relaxing over long dinners (with the babies asleep in other rooms). On the October weekend that we were there, the three-season porch warmed up during the day, allowing us to eat lunch out there, while the babies crawled around in the conveniently babyproof space. At night, we retreated to our huge bedrooms upstairs. Our baby slept in the downstairs bedroom, while our friends kept their son in with them. The house comes with some 80 acres, which we enjoyed exploring with our dog. There are several wooded trails on the property, which offered pleasant walks; however we weren't able to find the promised views, as some of the rails have gotten pretty overgrown and/or impassable. The house served as a convenient base from which to explore the area. There was easy access to great hiking in the White Mountains. We also drove up to the Mt. Washington cog railroad and over to the Fryeburg State Fair. There is a lot of traffic on Route 16, particularly as you get closer to Conway. We learned that we needed to get an early start in the morning to miss the worst of the traffic. We would love to rent Boulder Hill Farm again the next time we return to the area.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Boulder Hill Farm, it was quiet and homey; a great place to relax and relax we did. We mostly did small hikes and drove around to see the mountain views during the day. At night we mostly stayed in and dined at home, relaxing with our dogs. The only complaint we would have is a small one, the ad stated that the home had cable or satellite tv, but it was very basic cable. See, not a huge deal, but a little dissapointing. All in all, we loved the home and would love to come back again next year. It is so nice to take a vacation and bring your dogs along too, thank you!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
