The 1900 square foot home features a custom design master bedroom has a California king-size bed and a sofa-bed, walk-in closet, sitting area, wood fireplace and Jacuzzi bathtub. Second bedroom has a futon bunk; with a full-size bed below and a twin above. The living room has a queen sofa bed.
The living room gives the sense of openness, but still the cozy feeling with its wood burning stove and the large corner windows. Whether you play cards, board games, work on puzzles, read, watch TV or just like to visit, this wonderful area will provide countless hours of entertainment. Most importantly, it will seat the whole family plus your friends. For those competitive personalities, we have a horse shoe pit and air hockey table on the premises. Our Homeowner's Association offers free use of the beaches, boat ramp, tennis courts, and the recreation area. The recreation area is a mile away in a park-like setting with a swim beach, swings and jungle equipment, basketball, horseshoes, barbecues, etc. Grab those bikes (or car) and head on down for a fun day..
Our guests can tee-off on a nine-hole golf course at a very reasonable price. Stop and enjoy a meal or drink at the Country Club. During sunset, you won’t want to miss the deer grazing on the greens. Bike, walk, or jog along the scenic lake and forest edge on the 9.7 mile Lake Almanor Recreational Trail. Yes, it is just out our backdoor. Depending on the season you can ride motorcycles ATCs, four-wheeling, snowmobiles, or cross-country skiing in the national forest adjacent to the trail. The fishermen will want to test their skills fishing in the unlimited lakes, rivers and streams nearby. Visit our small downhill skiing slope, Stover Mountain, five miles away. Shoppers will have to browse the quaint town of Chester. Here you will find unique gift shops, galleries and restaurants. Don’t forget to indulge yourself with a banana split at the old fashion soda fountain located inside Lassen Gift Company. Approximately 30 minutes away is the Mount Lassen Volcanic National Park. Many wonderful sights await you there. Visit the treasures of the hydrothermal activities and see the breathtaking views of the Lake Almanor Basin.
So much to do, and not enough vacation time. Relax and enjoy our home.

Why the Owner Chose Lake Almanor
We were introduced to this area in the 1980's from another fire captain who had a lake front property here. We would camp out in the meadow by Butte Creek and haul our boat over to the lake. The kids loved playing the creek, building dams that never held, watching the cows graze by, listening to the deer at night and looking at the stars by the campfire while making somores. We fell in LOVE with the lake and the mountains. The serene quietness at night. No big crowds, like in Lake Tahoe. And you can even go swimming in the lake and enjoy it!
The Unique Benefits at this House
Like most families we would always take the dogs. That is why we welcome our home has a pet friendly home. Every morning Mario will walk the dogs down the the lake for a swim. Every evening we still sit under the stars, but not with the smores anymore, but with a glass of wine. We know you will enjoy this beautiful location close to the water.
Owner's Map of Lake Almanor
Our primary home is located in the San Jose, Ca. area. Mario is a retired Fire Captain for San Jose Fire Department and Linda is a dental hygienist. We have three children.

We had a wonderful time on our Almanor vacation! The house was perfect for us, our three (grown) kids, and dog. The house was clean, comfortable, spacious and very well stocked. We especially loved the deck and spent a lot of time outside. We usually took our boat out twice a day, early in the AM and at dusk, so having the ramp directly across the street was a real plus. I can’t imagine staying anyplace else, and look forward to renting it again next year!
Recommended for:Pet owners, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful and cute place this was. Our family had such a great time, we will be coming back in the next years to come. The place was clean, and a nice place to chill and watch the wildlife around. The Boat Ramp is across the street for easy access to the Lake. The Rec center is close by for swimming in the Lake. Great place for a vacation for sure.

What a great house in a great location! It was very quiet and peaceful with easy access to both the boat launch and the walking trail. The deck was great for relaxing with a cup of coffee in the morning and the house was very comfortable and spacious. Definately would stay there again!

This house was just great. My friends and I have a yearly fishing trip in May and we choose lake Almanor as our destination.(2007) We had never been to the lake and I'll I can saw is wow! The fishing was great but the house made all the difference.. Lots of room and the location was perfect.. We will be heading back up again this year looking for some big browns and to enjoy the new fire pit. We will renting this house for many years to come.. Thanks again Linda!
