In the historical center of Venice, close to San Marco Square and the Biennale Garden, inside the magical web of streets that connect Riva degli Schiavoni to Arsenal, you find 'Al Pestrin', your home in Venice. It is equipped with internet wi-fi. It has a fully equipped kitchen, living room with sofa/bed and pouf/bed, bathroom with tub, washer and dryer, double bedroom, single bedroom with extra bed. Al Pestrin is well served by supermarkets, pharmacies, restaurants, shops, banks, baccari (the typical Venetian bars) etc. It is a delightful apartment, bright because it is the 3 rd floor (no elevator), and from its windows you can enjoy a splendid view of the altane, terraces built wooden blinds on the roofs.

Het appartement, dat op de 3e verdieping gelegen is, is van alle gemakken voorzien en heeft een fantastisch uitzicht over het steegje eronder en de daken en dak-terassen van nabijgelegen panden. Het gerenoveerde appartement is gelegen in een wat ouder venetiaans pand, dus verwacht geen nieuwbouw. Voor ons was dit juist sfeervol. De woning is niet te vol zodat er voldoende plek was voor eigen spullen en was spik en span schoon. De bedden en matrassen waren prima, onze twee kinderen hadden ieder een 1 persoonsbed. De keuken was compleet met fornuis, oven, magnetron, waterkoker, tosti-apparaat en goede pannen. Er is zelfs een wasmachine. Van de ligging van het appartement hebben we nog het meest genoten, rustig aan een leuk smal Venetiaans steegje maar toch vlakbij bakker, slager en restaurantjes. Ook is er een supermarkt op loopafstand. Met maar een paar minuutjes lopen sta je aan het levendige Grand Canal en schitteren zee en allerlei activiteit op het water je tegemoet. Plein van San Marco maar ook Rialto en Bienale zijn op loopafstand. Kortom we hebben genoten hier van een korte vakantie, nogmaals dank hiervoor! Het contact met de eigenaresse Claudia verliep overigens vlot en soepel, ze is zeer behulpzaam en we waren aangenaam verrast met een welkomstpakketje.Did you find this review helpful?
