This picturesque mountain cabin is located in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just ten miles from Boone and seven miles from West Jefferson.
Just step outside and walk down to the New River. This community of cabins has a private lake with a picnic gazebo and beach area.
Whether you enjoy swimming, fishing, canoeing, tubing, rafting, cave exploration, hiking, bicycling, antiquing, shopping, or fine dining, this location offers all this plus relaxation. Check out the basket of brochures (in the living room) for information on these and many more local attractions. The FUN never ends!

This lovely three bedroom, two bath cabin has an impressive twenty foot by ten foot river stone wood burning fireplace as a beautiful focal point. With two bedrooms and one full bathroom on the first floor and a master suite upstairs, there is plenty of room for all.
The first downstairs bedroom consists of two twin beds and is called the "Bear Room" (you will see why). The second bedroom is called the "White Room" and promises pure comfort and ease. Upstairs you will find the luxurious master suite with vanity area and bathroom.
Relax outside and enjoy the tree top views on the wrap-around deck with dining table, six chairs, two rockers, hammock, and gas grill for you enjoyment. Peek through the trees and watch the birds fly amongst the mountainscape. There is also a peaceful bench outside on the lower grounds -- serenity made simple.
Downstairs you will find the Game Room equipped with full size ping pong table, tournament dart board, and a free standing foosball table. There are also plenty of board games, puzzles, and DVDs (or bring your own). The Living room area has DSL access via a DSL modem. Hanging under the deck, you will find 2 river tubes, just waiting to float you down the river.

The house was perfect for a family gathering and we had all the amenities we needed. We cut down a Christmas tree at the tree farm (Jack's) and made all our ornaments. All kids (young and old) enjoyed darts and ping pong. Thanks for letting us stay!"

My children, Luke (2 yrs) and Tara (5 yrs) loved the teddy bear room and feeding bread crumbs to the chipmunks. We found great things to do close by to our cabin location. Luke's favorite outing was to a trout farm where he caught a 3 lb. trout! Tara's favorite outing was to Tweetsie Railroad where we rode the rail and experienced a feud between cowboys and Indians and a train robbery. My favorite outing was our 2 hr. kayak down the New River. Other highlights were our nightly fires in the fire place and "yummy" dinners on the grill! Thank You!!"

Our activities included a 7 mile paddle down the New River. Fishing at the Fleetwood Lake, lunch and shopping at the Todd General Store, Mtn. biking at the Kerr Scott Resevior in Wilkesboro, and another trip down the river.
