Adagio Beach Cottage is the ideal vacation spot, honeymoon hideaway or artist's retreat where the only sound you hear is the rolling surf of the ocean with its aqua waters breaking onto white sand.
Can you picture yourself stepping off the deck at Adagio onto the white sands and into the turquoise Bahamian waters where you can spend your days beachcombing in the warm sunshine collecting seashells, floating in crystal-clear water, building your own beach fire, lazing in the hammock or just sitting on the deck viewing the ocean by day and the stars at night?
You will find that Adagio Beach Cottage is fully equipped with everything for a reasonably priced, relaxed vacation. Air conditioned with two bedrooms that look out on the ocean, two bathrooms, livingroom, satellite TV, DVD, VCR, videos, games, video/book library, telephone, dial-up connection (if you MUST stay connected), complete kitchen, washer/dryer and barbecue. Grocery stores in town have all the items you need for your stay at Adagio but you may want to bring your special coffee or any other foods along in your suitcase.
To cook or not to cook. Your choice! Make home-cooked meals on the barbecue at Adagio Beach Cottage or visit local beach bars and restaurants. Smitty, Diamond Sunset and Bishops serves up local fare. We suggest you contact Millies Car Rental 242 351 3486 to reserve a car for your stay. Adagio is a 30 minute drive to Freeport and Lucaya for restaurants, bars, casino, golfing, fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving and shopping or you can just stay put, away from it all and enjoy the unbelievable soothing, healing and revitalizing properties of Bahamian waters.

Owner Description
My husband and I are Canadians by birth but Bahamian residents by choice. We have been on Grand Bahama Island for 30 years, first as winter visitors and then as full time residents. We are active is the sports and cultural events of the Grand Bahama community. My husband is an avid golfer and I am a hand papermaker and artist. We invite you to come and see what we are up to at ADAGIO.

We choose to build our home on a secluded beach to be away from the usual tourist scene.

We had a wonderful honeymoon week at Adagio Cottage. The house is lovely and cozy, the beach and water spectacular and all the locals friendly. Go to Diamond Sunrise and have conch fritters. Ask Doris about events on the island and where to find the best local food. Have a Bahama Mama while you chat. We recommend the day trip to Peterson's Cay for kayaking and snorkeling. Chad is a great guide if you can get him. Best of all is the restful, quiet and beautiful Adagio and all that comes with it. Thanks to Del and Bill for warm hospitality, a bottle of champagne and a special sand dollar. We're taking back fond memories as well as a suitcase full of beach treasures.

We have had such a wonderful time this week here on the island and staying in your cottage! The house is wonderful and the beach couldn't be better - we felt like the whole ocean was ours. From sort of early morning swims to visiting Port Lucaya during the day or napping the day away to sitting out on the beach at night - it has all been perfect and perfectly relaxing. I really hate the idea of leaving later today. Thanks so much for letting us get away from it all at Adagio.

Perfect beach setting, with gracious hosts. Comfortable house, beautiful yard and flowers. Very well kept. Fishing is good right out the back door on the the postcard perfect beach. Quiet and peaceful, we really enjoyed the whole package. Can't wait for a return visit. As good as it gets in the Bahamas.

After a beautiful week and a half at the Adagio Cottage we are sad to be leaving this morning. What an incredible view to wake up to every morning. The coulour and the warmth of the water is just magic. I think our highlights have been Michael catching bonefish on his flyrod and I couldn't believe it when I caught one right out in front of the cottage. We really hope to come back sometime.
