Little Arches was a great place to stay on Harbour Island. The information provided online and by the owner was accurate regarding the location and appearance. The house was very clean and comfortable with nice furnishings and everything we needed for a wonderful vacation. Kim was very helpful before, during and after our stay. She was available to answer any questions and gave us lots of good recommendations. We traveled with our 21 year old daughter and her friend. There were so many fun things to do when we wanted to be active: beach, water, snorkeling, fishing, nightlife, restaurants, shopping. When we wanted to chill, the beach was just 150 steps from the house (we counted!) and the water was gorgeous. We all want to go to Harbour Island next summer for vacation -- and Little Arches will be our first choice for accomodations.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We had an absolutely wonderful visit at Little Arches. We had 10 people in our party, so we rented the entire home. It was a perfect set up. Having 3 kitchens helped us out tremendously. The beach was VERY close. The home was extremely well taken care of, clean, stocked with dishes and kitchenware, and beautifully decorated. Kim, you were so helpful with all of the tips you sent prior to our trip. We will DEFINITELY be back!

Little Arches - Glad we Stayed Here!!!

We recently stayed at Little Arches for a friends wedding in February 2012. I’m so glad I did my homework, shopped around and decided to rent this house for my husband and I along with 2 other groups of friends. Prices are high on the island, so finding Little Arches was a gem. It was affordable, comfortable and located close to the beach! Kim, the owner, was a super hostess! She returned calls promptly and provided us with tons of information to make our stay enjoyable. Kim also called to check in regularly to see if there was anything we needed. I asked her to send a golf cart to the house and it was there waiting for us upon arrival…I recommend to do this! My husband and I stayed on the top level, honeymoon suite. It was very spacious, tastefully decorated and had an amazing patio to relax on after a long day at the beach. It was easy to to feel right at home with all the extras Kim provides (beach chairs, snorkels, beach towels, etc.) The bed is super comfy and the master bathroom is enormous! The other two units, all with separate entrances, were nice as well, but different sizes to accommodate different group of people. The 1 bedroom suite is cozy, but still had everything you’d need for a comfortable week on the island. I’d recommend it to a solo traveler or couple on a budget! The 2 bedroom was very large and perfect for a family with children. The honeymoon suite was great for a couple looking for a romantic getaway! Overall the entire experience on the island was magical. Yes it is expensive to eat and drink out, but the unique culture of the quaint island was worth it. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, the beaches were gorgeous, quiet and pink and the food was fabulous! Here are a few personal favorites: Favorite Lunch Spot – Sip Sip – loved the passion fruit sangria Favorite Dinner Experience – Rock House – also great for a drink – loved the atmosphere Favorite Bar – Pink Sands Favorite Late Night Activity – Dancing with Daddy D! Fun day activity – rent a boat and drive to Man’s Island to look for shells and sand dollars Try to hit all the resorts for at least a drink in their bars – they are all so beautiful and have great menus too!

I wanted to take my family last minute to Harbour Island during the December holidays, and Kim got back with me immediately with information about her house. What a fantastic trip we had! The house is private and quiet, everything worked great, and Kim was very helpful when we had questions. I recommend her home rather than paying an arm and a leg for beachfront rentals. The house is just a few steps from the pink beach and golf carts are easy to rent. Thank you Kim, I can't wait to go back! Anne Ashmun

I have been to Harbour isalnd 4 times and i wouldn't think of staying any where else. My wife and kids love it and we think of it as a 2nd home. The house has everything you need. The owner is great in helping you with any questions and helping you with a golf cart and transfers. Beast beach I have ever been to. You can snorkel right off your beach. The people on the island are very nice.

We found the VRBO reviews on Little Arches to be accurate and we have hopes of returning there as soon as possible. We enjoyed the beautiful beach that was almost uninhabited. We walked there each morning and late afternoon. We rented the lower two bedrooms with four children. We found it to be great for our family. Kim was very helpful and and her wonderful housekeeper even helped us out when we lost our key in the beach sand. Fortunately, our next door neighbors found it for us the next morning. The residents of the island are great and the visitors seem to a better sort than you might find at a major tourist destination. The pleasant attitude by everyone on the island is a major reason that we will return.

Wow.What a great place to visit. I am all about the beach and this one is pristine.Kim was very helpful and communicative. Little Arches is a perfect place to stay. All is tastfully renovated and has everything you could possibly need even things like a drying rack for bathing suits, beach toys and chairs, and a portable crib!Staying here felt like staying at a friend's house in a good way,comfortable. After all the research I did about Harbour Island and where to stay, I can say it is really the best value on the island to stay at Kim's. You can cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner to save money some days. Staying here gives you the option. I also walked every morning on the beach, it's a stone's throw from the house. Our 4 yr. old daughter's favorites was playing on the beach everyday and getting around on the golf cart. I think that was my husband's and my favorites too. We want to go back. Thx. Kim

We had a wonderful stay at Little Arches - it was comfortable, quiet, convenient and spotless. Kim helped us finalize everything and made sure we were happy while there. She even had fresh banana bread delivered to us! We will definitely go back!

My daughters and I were in much need of a quiet vacation spot in paradise. Kim's home and Harbour Island fit the bill. Kims attention to detail made our visit very easy to manage. She thought of everything, from the golf cart at the house when we arrived, as requested, to the homemade key lime pie made by the housekeeper. We went fishing with Jeff Fox and cought 11 Black Fin Tuna. The chef at Aquapazza prepared them perfectly for us for dinner. That is just one example of the perfect days we spent on the island. Little Arches is a fantastic place to stay if you are planning on visiting Harbour Island. Kim is great, the housekeeper is wonderful and the island itself is simply Paradise. My husband and I spent our honeymoon there. The house is fabulous, Kim has worked hard to make it homey and relaxing for her guests. We stayed in the one bedroom upstairs and it was perfect for our needs. Very spacious, wonderful amenities. Since we were on our honeymoon and really just wanted no agenda and to relax we didn't do a lot of the fishing, or other excursiouns but just merely stayed in and/or visited the beach. Kim will provide you with plenty of information and follow her lead because she knows exactly what she's talking about. We will be back!

We just returned from a stay in the Honeymoon Suite at Little Arches. The place is spacious and comfortable, and very tastefully done. The beach is absolutely incredible and there were very few people there but us. The town is just charming. We could not stop taking photos! Don't miss lunch at SipSip, which was recommended by Kim, and which we enjoyed greatly.

The only problem we had with your place on Harbour Island was leaving it. I can verify everything on the website is not only true but understated. Your home worked perfect for what we had in mind in celebrating our 25th anniversary with family and close friends. We had a fantastic time on the island. Thank you for your help in setting things up with Michael for the golf carts and Tomassa for the Bahamian dinner. We're still talking about the great food she prepared for the 8 people. We hope to visit again and will be in touch for availability of the house. If ever you need a reference for the house or your hospitality please have them contact me.
