“Alpenhill" is a delightful mountain retreat on spacious grounds and a cherished second home we share with guests throughout the seasons. We're on Steamboat's main ski mountain, next to the ski area, in a quiet mountain neighborhood with tree lined hillsides and spectacular views. It’s a unique property in a private setting yet conveniently located plus it has a garage and large fenced yard (great for pets and kids). We're walking distance to the ski gondola, mountain village, summer music programs, close to restaurants, services, groceries AND on the "Free Bus" route which services the entire Steamboat Springs area.
Inside you'll find all the high tech equipment you want, as dsl (wireless), DVD, VCR, digital cable TV and a family friendly video library. Our interior provides a blend of contemporary comforts with a Western flair plus local and wildlife artwork. In fact.... it looks like it may be the home of animal lovers and adventurers .... and IT IS! There's comfortable sofas and a wood burning fireplace with a stone hearth in the living area that can be enjoyed from the dining and kitchen areas as well. A big oak dining table provides a perfect place to gather around with a bar and two outside decks near by. All have fabulous views! The laundry room and garage come in handy on active vacations and our kitchen is well equipped with all that's needed for stylish and memorable meals... inside or outside.
Each of the 3 bedrooms is nicely appointed with quality mattresses and bedding including down and summer comforters. The master bedroom is a mini "get a way" with a beautiful king log bed, antique oak dresser, desk, deck, phone and internet connections (for any workaholic traveling with you). It’s "spa like" bathroom includes a large whirlpool tub and separate shower. A second bedroom has another beautiful (queen) log bed and a third bedroom has twin beds. There’s also a queen sofa bed in the Living area if needed. Sleeping is always comfortable with individual room thermostats, shaded windows, good ventilation and quiet ceiling fans for summer.
"Alpenhill" is well planned for casual living and relaxing in the mountains. You will find NO white carpet here, but plenty of firewood and the warmth of an upscale mountain home. Soak in the very private hot tub with views of Emerald Mountain, while the kids and family dog romp in the big fenced yard or barbecue on the shaded back deck next to the aspen grove. Watch the “alpenglow” move across Mt Werner and enjoy the spectacular 100 mile view down the Yampa Valley! If you ever need assistance, our caretaker couple lives on the property and will be happy to help.
"Alpenhill" was made for good times, so just bring your loved ones, skis and a smile.
