You can also bring your own boat and depart from and return to the private dock to partake in a fisherman's "haven" and experience deep-water fishing in the Gulf of Mexico or Galveston Bay.

My fiance and I and both sets of parents stayed at this home for a week in June of 2006. We had the most fabulous experience. The home is spacious with the most incredible views, especially off the main deck in the back. We enjoyed watching the gulls dive for food by day and viewed schools of various types of fish under the lights each night. We enjoyed coffee as we viewed the sunrise each morning off the bedroom level deck and the most splendid colorful sunsets almost every evening. My mother and I particularly enjoyed the peaceful late afternoon/early evening breeze as we lounged under the umbrella on the huge deck off the main level overlooking the private canal as we caught up on our reading. I'm a student and I actually enjoyed reading certain textbooks! In fact, my fiance and I are considering spending our honeymoon at this home on Tiki Island.
