Just steps from the sand, the Red House is a two story beach house that has evolved over the years into the cozy home it is today.
The first level features an entry foyer, large front room with great views, a knotty pine den with an old river stone fireplace with a new gas insert. The kitchen with its large attached eating area is bright and well equipped. Washer, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, and large side by side with automatic ice maker. The lower deck is accessed via the eating area. A full bath with shower over tub and the bunk room are also on the first level.
The upstairs features two master bedrooms, with sitting areas, a shared half bath, and a large viewing deck(great for people watching or just taking it all in).
Sleeping: The bunk room: double with twin over. Both masters have queen beds. There are two full sized couches and a couple of sleeping pads. Linens and bath towels are provided. B.Y.O.B...beach towels that is!
Wireless and cat5 router for your internet needs. TV, VHS, DVD.

Why the Owner Chose Stinson Beach
While my wife and her brother grew up here, I had been coming to Stinson Beach all of my life.
As a Real Estate Broker it was a no brainer to buy into a house on the beach. Vacation rentals are so much more fun than other investments. Even when I go out to the beach to bring supplies or fix something, there's the scenic drive, the first views of the Bolinas Lagoon, listening to the dog get excited, then driving down our street right up the sand. Did I just get paid for that? Sweet!!

I'm Rollin. I will be your host, contact person, & repairman if necessary.
I own "The Red House" on Stinson Beach along with my lovely wife (The Queen) and brother in law (Big Guy). Our family has owned the home since the 60's. The Red House has been offered as a vacation rental for more than 20 years. I have been the manager since April of 2005 and years later continue to enjoy doing so.

Hi Rollin, Thanks very much. I had intended to write to you after our return, but the crush of life after vacation took hold. We had a fabulous time in your home and can't thank you enough. Even though the days were foggy for much of the time, the house is so nice we would spend many hours just reading by the fire and then going on long walks. (We also had some sunny days, which were quite nice too.) This was truly a great getaway for us and we enjoyed every minute of it. Rollin, I want to thank you again for letting us use your house for my birthday weekend. It was terrific We enjoyed the Big Red House very much. It was warm and comfortable, well furnished and certainly came equipped with all the bells and whistles we could have wanted. It had wonderful views of the beach from the Master bedroom and the decks were spacious and comfortable. The weather cooperated by being warm, in the mid seventies, clear and sunny. We could not have asked for a better house. It is 10 steps to the beach, yet seems sheltered. We hope to be able to rent it again in the future. You were a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again. This house has soul! I am so greatful that we could stay in the rich old home. Sitting in the study, a bottle of red wine, I can almost feel Kenneth Rexroth across the table from me. There is an old world warmth that I feel here. Our family is blessed. We will return one day!

We have stayed in other homes along this beach, but none as warm and welcoming as yours! And what can you say about the location? there is none better!! had beautiful reord gigh days while here! Windy then calm. The babies are almost all grown up and coming and going, but still part of the tradition. The bo-weaver children act like siblings for a few days. It doesn't get better than this...until next year at the Red House. We will be here for Dennis's 50th! in June, ful of surprises. Love to the Raymonds, Humphrys and Huberts may the tradition go on and on

I think this house is rockin awesome, its nice and peaceful Eve I think this hous Rocks Too! And it is Awesom...nice, relaxing and peaceful. the town, the beach are all wonderful. We enjoyed these wonderful days in the Red House. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and had beautiful weather, long peaceful walks on the beach and enjoyed every minute of it! always sad to leave but looking forward to our next stay.
