Another wonderful week at our favorite vacation spot. I travel all over the world for my work and have vacationed many places but this remains in my top 5 for a relaxing vacation. I loved cooking in the new kitchen, great job! The fact that the house retains it's comfort factor even with the improvements is outstanding. I had the opportunity to share the house over the weekend with my grandson who likes it better than my AZ house. He thinks we should move here.... Thank you for sharing your fabulous home. Lynette D

Hi Rollin, We had such a wonderful time in the Red House. The weather was sunny and gorgeous, although I imagine it is just as spectacular when it's cold and foggy. The location is an obvious plus, but we also enjoyed all the books, games, beach toys, and little trinkets around the house. Our girls were thrilled to see bunk beds " Just like the ones we have at home Mama!". My mother in law was really able to relax and feel at home, while still feeling spoiled. We spent a lot of our time planning when we would return. My husband's brother and family are coming in June. We would love to stay in the Red House again. I can see from the website that you only rent on a weekly basis after June 1st. They arrive on the 17th of June and leave on June 26th. As much as we would love to stay an entire week, we have a variety of plans we have already made in the city and elsewhere. We are hoping to be able to enjoy your house Sun. 6/19, Mon. 6/20 and Tues 6/21. It appears from the website that the house is available. Is there any possibility of renting for those 3 days? We really want to share your wonderful property with our family, but simply are unable to stay a full week. Let me know what you think and what we can do to make it work for us and for you. Rollin, Just want to thank you for the great family time your Red House made possible! My four grown children and I had beautiful weather on the April 1-2 weekend at Stinson and your house was the perfect setting. It's cozy, convenient to everything and especially the beach; it's well organized for relaxation and fun (and your "magic drapery closer opener" captures the spirit of the place). Normally we would go out for meals, but your kitchen was so nice we cooked in ... and that meant more easygoing time together and less expense. I'm sure we'll be contacting you in the future about another weekend, at least, and probably a weekly rental. (I believe all was left neat and clean, which was how we found it. House in great condition, fully equiped, and owner very cooperative. Unfortunetely we picked a bad week to be at the beach as it was stormy, but fun to be in the storm at the coast as well. The only reason I rate my overall experience as "good" instead of "excellent" was because of the weather which we have "no control" over! Cannot wait to go back in the summer!

Owner response:Glad you still managed to have a good time. We really did have some bizarre march weather last week. When I was there a few weeks ago, it was pouring down rain, but I really enjoyed the sound of the rain on the roof as I was laying in bed looking at the ocean on a Sunday morning being lazy. As I type this response we are experiencing stellar weather. Go figure. Rollin

We spent two very pleasant nights and enjoyed the winter weather along the beach. The dog was in her personal heaven chasing birds and splashing in the waves. Malia clebrated her 50th birthday with a bunch of friends and we all had room to play, walk, eat, drink and be merry. The wind and waves were perfectly peaceful and relaxing. Came to celebrate my 55th with family. We went to Bovine bakery in Point Reyes (a must) and up to Tomales to get oysters. Had a great BBQ here got to enjoy the Giants winning! Went to Muir Woods. My son did the hike over the hill back here to Stinson. In retrospect he was glad he didn't come across a mountain lion and it was a lot further than 4.6 miles as advertised at Muir Woods. The house was very cozy for us all. We are very sad to be leaving today. Thank You for having this available.
