Asher Beachfront Condominium is a one bedroom modern, END unit on Lake Michigan. This ground level unit is fully furnished and comfortably sleeps four adults with a king-size bed and a pullout U-shaped leather couch.
The unit is both poolside and beachside and it features unbeatable sunsets while sitting anywhere within the unit. The private pool is just steps away from your bed and the private beach.
The complex is next to a city Park and just a short walk from the quaint downtown of South Haven where there are plenty of shops and great little restaurants.
This historical town (founded in 1833) has two light houses guiding pleasure boats to the multiple marinas scattered along the Black river which runs through this idyllic town.
It takes only 20 minutes to drive from South Haven to Saugatuck, 30 minutes to Holland, two plus hours to Chicago and three hours to Detroit.

Why the Owner Chose South Haven
I had the great fortune of being born and raised in South Haven in 1956. As a kid, I thought this small town was too slow for my likes especially during the long, snowy winters. As I matured, I realized how lucky I was to have experienced the lifestyle of this community.
I remember participating in the clubs and sports the community had to offer, enjoying the Blueberry Festival and Fourth of July events. Some of my favorite activities were water skiing or fishing in Lake Michigan and snow skiing at nearby Timber Ridge. We have cooked blueberry pancakes for breakfast on the beach during the summer and climbed the ice bergs in the winter.
I have brought my wife and kids back for the past twenty five plus years. My kids have experienced the joys of the town throughout their life and I know they will continue the traditions with their children.
I hope that you can feel a small piece of what joys this town has given to me during your week vacationing in South Haven.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We have admired this property over the years when we took our kids to the public beach at Packard Park. My wife always said “that is the place we should find a unit in”. It has so much to offer with it’s own private beach and pool. The terrace is huge and is great for entertaining or eating your dinner while watching the sunset. This dream continued for many, many years until we purchased it in 2005.
We love our unit since it faces the lake and is so comfortable to sit and read. We love sleeping with the window open and hearing the waves crash on the shore. It is great just walking out the door onto the beach for a stroll to the North Pier.
The location of the unit and the size of the town allows you to walk into town for shopping or meals. Go try the onion rings of Clementine’s or the bucket of perch at the Thirsty Perch in town. You must go to Captain Nemos for ice cream and don’t forget about the Golden Brown Bakery.
Once there I am sure you will agree that it’s great having a pool and being on the lake at the same time and that you will want to return year after year to realize life’s simple pleasures!!!

This condo unit offers it all! As a young family that owns a small business its very hard to get away for a vacation. We found this unit 3 yrs ago and couldn't have been more pleased! Between the beach at your back step and the heated pool our children are in heaven. This unit is located perfectly! From its beach front location to the ability to walk into town to enjoy one of the great eateries. The unit is also very well kept and the managers even check in with you to make sure everything is OK during your stay! We look forward to our next trip!

This condo is much prettier than the photos posted, so we were impressed right away. The condo and it's surroundings were quite magical actually. We could hear the waves pounding on the beach from our living room and bedroom with the windows opened. There is also a perfect view from the unit and anywhere on the large deck of the incredible sunset everyday, and there are plenty of lounge chairs to go around. We were very impressed with the heated pool, which was cleaned every morning. The two grills were also scrubbed and cleaned every morning. Grilling and dining on the deck was an activity enjoyed by many. The kitchen is up-dated and well stocked with cooking needs. We didn't have to buy anything but food when we arrived. The entire unit is really beautiful as it is furnished with modern fresh furniture. The bed was not as firm as we would have liked, but for only a week, we made it just fine. There are 3 fire pits (first come, first serve) that families could pull to the beach for nightly smores! Very cool! The beach is large and provides a nice hike in either direction. The feel of this condo and surroundings was very much like a Florida vacation, with a lovey clean beach at our door, and shops and restaurants all within walking distance. We felt extremely lucky to have found this property. Our vacation was perfect.

My husband & I arrived at the condo in South Haven on May 23, 2010 and we were sooo pleased! The condo was clean and equipped with everything we needed. The pool opened the week we were there and the beach was beautiful. There are gas grills by the pool area. We watched the sunset on the beach every night. The condo is really on the beach- not by the beach on the beach. We opened the windows in the evening and you can hear the waves crashing on the beach.. Romantic! Fantastic! There is a bike rack outside if you bring your bikes, we did and rode the trails. The location of the condo is fantasic- we walked almost everywhere. There is a Mexican resturant in downtown South Haven called Su Casa, Excellent food. Must try it. Definitly staying again couldn't imagine staying anywhere else.Thanks to the owners for sharing their home!
