Is this a posh high end resort, no. Is this a clean, safe, comfortable villa close to the beach and centrally located, you bet it is! Anton is an extremely nice man that will do his utmost to make your stay as enjoyable as possable. I wish all owners where as nice, attentive and accommodating as Anton. The villa is located within walking distance to 3 grocery stores, several restaurants, shopping, beaches, car rentals, gas station and more. Rest assured that the next time we go to Barbados we'll be staying at villa Santos.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

I would highly recommend this true Bajan home with an amazing porch to sit back and enjoy. If you are lucky you see the monkeys on the fence. There could not be a better landlord than Anton. he is one of a kind. Location is perfect close to beaches, supermarket, night life etc. Bus stop is right around the corner. House is always clean and a home away from home. Love this house and the friendly neighbours.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are delighted to have clients like Marge who has been a regular guest for the past four years. A happy customer is all we ask at Rio Santo Residences. And like Marge, many keep returning year after year.

I stayed at the Rio Santos Residences Thanksgiving weekend on a girl's getaway with a good friend. While we rented a car for our stay in Barbados, these apartments are located within walking distance to a number of eating establishments, grocery stores, and only a short bus/cab ride from the Gap (or longer walk for the more adventurous. There is also a nice beach across the street, and a number of other great beaches within 10 min. The owner is very helpful, and was willing to accommodate a number of time and people changes on my part as my friends and I ironed out our plans. The few minor problems we had during our stay were quickly handled after a phone call. I would recommend this place for anyone wanting to be in the heart of the tourist area with the conveniences of home!Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Our family of five stayed at Rio Santos for a week in March, and it was ideal for us. The residence is very clean and comfortable, and there's plenty of room. The front verandah is a wonderful bonus for sitting outside and enjoying the surroundings. The location couldn't be more convenient: beaches, transportation, restaurants and a well-stocked grocery store only minutes' walk away. We felt very safe and at home. Mr. Anton is a personable and trustworthy host. Thank you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: It has been a most enjoyable winter season for us -- meeting lots of new people from various countries and catering to their needs. We have quite a number of returning guests and bookings are already coming in for winter 2012. Our advice is to book early and avoid disappointment. To all those who spent time with us, we say "thank you" and look forward to welcoming both repeat and new visitors.

This was a perfect location! Our neighbors were awesome and all very friendly. We were in walking distance to a lot of places and easy access to taxi and bus transportation. Took the ZR a lot! We rented a vehicle for part of our stay and there was good parking for it right outside our back door. The apartment was great and exactly what we needed. The apartment was clean and the property was very nice and well maintained. Anton was very awesome to deal with and answered any questions we had. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making our vacation so enjoyable!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
Owner response: We are pleased that our guests continue to have a positive vacation experience at Rio Santo Residences. Although we are a small outfit, we enjoy catering to the needs of each of our visitors. Each is special to us. Their satisfaction is our satisfaction. After all, we do ask them to "Reach Out And Touch Barbados", so we in turn think the least we can do is to reach out and touch them in some meaningful way too.

Our family stayed here in August of 2010 and were so glad that we did. We had the option of staying at the Accra where the rest of our family was staying for a wedding, however thought we would give a rental a try. Anton was quick to respond to any questions we had via email in a professional and timely fashion. As everyone has pointed out, all amenities are within walking distance, and by far the beaches are amazing. Our kids loved the beaches, and having their own rooms. There are a number of local restaurants, and Anton was great at recommending some fantastic ones. If you're looking for some Canadiana feel be sure to try Bert's. Also, if you are able rent a car and tour the island. There is a car rental place right around the corner, and they were quick and easy to deal with. Thank-you again for everything Anton!Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We have recently returned from a wonderful vacation at Rio Santos, as stated before Mr Norris could not have kinder. The 3 bebrooms were great for us and an easy walk to a big grocery store and great beaches. We had the good fortune to a family of 5 monkeys playing almost daily 15ft from the deck and flocks of emerald green parrots, things we have not seen staying at the big resorts. We will return for sure. Many thanks Anton!Recommended for: Families with young children

We stayed at Rio Santos the first week of February 2010 and greatly enjoyed our stay there. The apartment is very clean, located conveniently to the beach, grocery store and within walking distance to many restaurants. Anton Norris is a pleasure to do business with and we would definitely stay there again the next time we come to Barbados.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Myself and 3 other friends stayed at the "Rio Santos". The house is located in one of the best locations in Barbados if you want convenience. The house is clean and spacious. It felt like home away from home. We really enjoyed our stay there. We highly recommend the "Rio Santos" to anyone who is looking for a clean, quiet, homely place to stay.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We stayed at the Rio Santo (house and 1 bedroom apartment) for one week in November, 2009. This was in an excellent location, and the house was very clean. The supermarket was only 3 min walk away, which made it very convenient, as we were able to purchase any necessary groceries to prepare items in the kitchen. The beach is literally across the street, and there are plenty of restaurants & bars within walking distance. Night clubs were a short cab ride away. I would say this is the BEST location in Barbados, and we've stayed many places. Felt like we were home away from home.....had a phone line, internet access (wireless) and laundry facilties. All in great working condition. Anton was a pleasure to do business with, and we are already planning our next trip to the Rio Santo! Thanks Anton!Did you find this review helpful? e stayed at Rio Santo the first eek in August and out stay was a pleasant one. It had everythig that we needed and it was in a quiet area, but yet close enough to quite a few amenities. All within walking distance was a restaurant, gas station, food store. Mr. Norris was more than accommodating with us, he was very friendly and waited for us to find the place. I would definetely recommend Rio Santo if you are looking for a home away from home.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We stayed in this property (the one-bedroom apartment) this summer. Everything about it was excellent. Convenient location, within walking distance of St. Lawrence Gap, Accra Beach, supermarkets, banks, and restaurants. The apartment was also very comfortable, spacious, clean, and in a safe location. All we can say is that we highly recommend it if you are looking for a place to stay with the conveniences of home while in Barbados. The owner is also extremely nice, helpful, and professional!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

What can we say that hasn`t been said, beautiful house, clean, spacious. We stayed in 3BR/2BA at Rio Santo from March 1st - 15th, 2009 with a friend and our 3 kids. Quiet area off the main road, perfect for the kids. Within a short walking distance to banks, restaurants, bars, beach, etc. Neighbours extremely friendly. We loved watching the Green Monkeys play. Saw them twice. Our favorite place was the big covered veranda. We spent all our time there, we ate there, played cards, or just relaxed after a day at the beach. Mr. Norris was the perfect host, kind, understanding and eager to please. We are returning for sure next year and we highly recommend Rio Santo for the perfect vacation in Beautiful Barbados.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We found the Rio Santo apartment to be very comfortable and well situated relative to beaches, grocery shopping, banking and restaurants. Being from Canada I found it very convenient to walk ten minutes to the ScotiaBank and withdraw money (in Barbados dollars) using my ScotiaBank card just like I do in Canada. Rockley Beach (also called Accra Beach) is 5 to 10 minutes away. Roughly the same distance to Worthing Beach. Mr. Norris is very accommodating and installed a high speed internet conection in the room prior to our arrival.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Rio Santo is the perfect 3 bdrm accommodation for a family looking for a self-catering vacation. We loved the large covered porch and the opportunity to be outside all the time- it became our dining and living room. The beach access was extremely convenient, and being tucked away off the main road made for a quiet environment to enjoy a tropical vacation. The kitchen was well equipped, but the Master bedroom bed could use an upgrade. The proximity to the St Lawrence Gap area and grocery stores makes a car an extravagance.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We were in town for our niece's wedding (3/24-3/29) and stayed in Barbados for 6 days and 5 nights. We wanted a nice, quiet, clean rental for our family. This vacation rental was ideal, very clean, roomy, close to shops and other amenities, not to mention just a short walk to the beach. We strongly recommend this vacation rental, for both value and the landlord's gracious hospitality.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I stayed for 2 weeks at Rio Santo and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. As a business person who travels extensively, I was looking to get away from hotels for awhile and Rio Santo proved to be the ideal solution. The villa is spacious, clean and the neighbourhood is outstanding with birds and flowering trees everywhere. The 3 bedroom apartment is ideal for families, and I would also strongly recommend it for any business person who is looking to set up temporary office space in Barbados. The owner is very accomodating and a pleasure to deal with. Exception value and highly recommended.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Home away from Home! Stayed at the 3 bedroom apartment in February. The apartment was very well located in a quiet street but still close to everything. It was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Great beach across the street and famous Accra beach is just 10 min walk away. Grocery/Gas Station/Restaurants all within a walking distance. Loved the bar Mojo`s just around the corner, good food, fabulous drinks and friendly people! We would definitely stay there again!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Having just spent 2 wonderful weeks on this beautiful island staying in a lovely comfortable apartment, we had to leave feedback to express how pleased we were with the service we received from the owner, Mr Norris. We stayed in the 1st floor apartment with a roof terrace, which gave amazing views across the immediate area. The steps are steep, you just need to be careful coming down. The apartment as clean & had everything we needed. Mr Norris advised that if we needed help with anything, just give him a call. We access to a phone to make local calls and receive incoming international calls. Winston is a local taxi driver, details given to us by Mr Norris, is a real gem. The "Gap" is in easy walking distance, the beach is just 3 minutes across the road, Accra beach is about a 10 min stroll. Mojos is our favourite bar for chilling with fab Rum Punch and cocktails and lovely food, all freshly prepared. The music didn't disturb us at all. Oistins was just a bus ride away and great evening out. Good Times Catamaran details in aprtment is excellent value for money and a fab day's sailing. We will certainly be looking to stay at Rio Santo Apartments again and would recommend them if you want a relaxed and chilled holiday. These apartments in a quiet corner of Worthing are a real find, with monkeys strolling along the front wall and humming birds in the garden next door, we would like to keep this place a secret but hey, we like to share....Did you find this review helpful? Rio Santo is in a fabulous location. Around the corner from the grocery, less than 5mins drive from St. Lawrence Gap and beaches. It's also a 2min walk from a great little bar, Mojo's. Is a fantastic spot for either families or singles. We totally enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning soon!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
