This home is located just the right distance from town to be away from the busy crowds, but just a few minutes from the heart of everything. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal if you should choose. The decor is just about perfect. I did miss my recliner in front of the TV but what a small thing that was. We were in the hot tub every evening for a relaxing breather before bedtime. All in all as close to perfect as you could hope for.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I'm an artist, and take a sabbatical to Taos for 1-2 months each year. Thank goodness I found your home! This is the first time I've stayed at Sun Ra, but it won't be my last. You have thought of everything. There was nothing I needed that I couldn't find in a drawer or cabinet -- and it all was in excellent condition. But most importantly (to me) was the authentic New Mexican design of the house, and the aesthetic was divine. I was surrounded by art I would choose myself, and it made my month here feel like home to me. It has been a glorious month. More hummingbirds than I've ever seen at once, buzzing and looping around the sagebrush and the lovely flowers on the patio. Wrapping up in a blanket and lying on a chaise lounge each night, looking up at the perfect Taos sky -- not one bit of light pollution, and a blanket of stars. I didn't let myself come in until I'd see a shooting star, and there were plenty every evening. The aroma of pinon wood was evident even while taking showers -- possibly b/c of the gorgeous wood ceilings in the bathrooms. I can't say enough about this place. I've known that Taos was a magical place -- but now I've found a rental house that does Taos justice. I will be back as soon as possible. Thank you for offering your home to us!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

About the owner: Taos gives us everything we need in a vacation place - wonderful restaurants, peaceful ambiance, tons of activities with none of the pretensions of "vacation spots." Taos is real, always has been and always will be.
Why the Owner Chose Taos:
We love the privacy of our house which is still a short walk over back roads into town (less than 15 minutes!) The access to the wonderful town of Taos and the wonderful design of this house is why we are here.
