About the hotel: With the Pacific Ocean beckoning just yards away, this rustic hotel is set on the beach in Playa San Miguel, on the Nicoya Peninsula. Our six rooms all include private baths. This is by far the most unique hotel in the area. The building is constructed of "teca" and varnished to bring out that warm, woody feeling everyone loves so much on vacation. Three floors offer spectacular views of the three mile long beach just outside your door.
We’re located in a tropical dry forest zone of the country where the trade winds sweep the coast. That translates to 80 plus degrees days for a big part of the year with little rain. Surfing, swimming, wading, or simply walking the beach while shell hunting seem to be the most liked activities by most of our guests. Sleep in and start your day with brunch served at our restaurant. Our meals promise to satisfy your taste buds as well as our locale will soothe your senses.
Go exploring the area and see what Costa Rica is all about. Rivers and estuaries are within minutes of your door. The Jungle Butterfly farm, Costa Rica’s largest open air butterfly farm is about two miles up the road and offers tours daily.
Accommodations: Proud of our service our restaurant and bar offer food and drink from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 at night with our bar staying open into the wee hours. Internet, car rentals, air hops, fishing in and off shore, surfboard rentals, horseback riding, nature tours, butterfly tours, and post card settings abound.
