The listing description and the photos accurately reflect the amenities in this apartment. The property was spotlessly clean, and well-maintained and equipped. The owner was wonderfully responsive to our questions and most accommodating to our needs. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative, but with the hope that we could still find it available when we return to Malta. There is, alas, construction in progress across the street, (as there is, alas, in practically every street in Sliema) but the workmen were working there on only one of the five days that we spent in the flat.

Arrived on a late flight to find the threadbare linen on the beds had not been changed and there were 3 dirty threadbare towels in the bathrooms (there were 5 of us). We went and bought towels (which owners did pay for) as no towels/sheets forthcoming at the end of our first full day there. The state of the pillows was disgusting - one in my room was covered in stains and blood. The toilet seat had been removed in the main bathroom and was lying beside the clothes dryer , as was the glass shower screen. Were unable to use the 2nd shower during our week long stay - when finally someone came to fix the screen he broke it and we never saw him again. The lady doing the changeover claimed to have cleaned the apartment and changed the sheets and towels ....I don't think so as one was still wet!! However we did get a reduction in price for the inconvenience - thank you. However...the apartment was very conveniently located, spacious and had good facilities. I would stay there again if there was new linen. It was handy to transport, the Point shopping mall and local shops and restaurants. But the fact that the sheets and towels were for the most part threadbare (one sheet had holes in it) and old let the place down, along with the fact that the changeover had obviously not been completed and cleaning had not been done. (The bath had definitely not been cleaned). It also seemed that essentials like dish machine powder were not supplied and it was left to the previous tenant to leave these things for the next occupants. The apartment had most things you would need but the lack of a second shower (which was one of the reasons we chose this place), and the state of the linen and lack of cleaning let it down.
Owner response:I honestly don't know what happened here, as we had just been in Malta the month of September and didn't see any of this. We replaced the towels and linens at a very high cost and discounted the price for their stay.....yet the people who stayed before and after said there were no issues.....every once in awhile the expectations of some are much higher and impossible to meet. I am glad you had a nice stay and apologize for any inconvenience. Best regards.

I would like to thank Bob and his family for their warm welcome and assistance during our recent 10 night stay at the apartment. The location was superb and in close walking distance to all the amenities you could require and surrounded on both sides by beautiful water. On arrival the apartment was clean and tidy and my only real criticism is that I felt the photos here don't really do the apartment justice as it was in fact much larger and luxurious than expected. I would highly recommend this apartment and was of great value both in its location and facilities. All excursions we booked were within 5 minute walking distance as well as a great variety of restaurants and bars and with a young family was a great place to relax after some long and hot days! I will definately be visiting again.
Owner response:Sarah and family, I was my pleasure and I ma so glad you had a nice holiday. Have a wonderful holiday season and we hope to see you again soon! Bob

My family recently traveled to Malta because it was the spot that my daughter picked to be married. Since we knew a family in Sliema, that is where we wanted to stay. When I found Bob's apartment on VRBO it sounded like it was just what we needed but I had no idea how awesome and helpful the owner would be. Bob made the arrangements so easy for us, was always prompt to respond to me when I had questions and even helped us to find another apartment nearby for some of our other guests. The Malta Dream Flat was very nice, clean, modern and was absolutely perfect for our needs. The location was fabulous with everything we needed near by. We really appreciated the pickup at the airport. If you are not familiar with the area I would not recommend driving there! The public transportation and the Melle taxi service was wonderful. We really appreciated the internet service. Malta is the most beautiful place and the people are so nice. We absolutely loved it. We had already made plans to go to Italy after our 5 days in Malta but if we had know how wonderful the Island would be, we would have planned to stay longer in Malta. Be sure to travel to Comino while there if you have a chance. It was incredible. We ran out of time and didn't get to go to Gozo but would have loved to. Thank you Bob for helping to make our daughter's wedding a dream come true. We absolutely plan to return some day! God Bless!!! Bryan and Pam Crawford - Missouri
Owner response:Pam, Thank you for the kind words and we are so happy that the wedding turned out well and that we were able to help!!! It was our pleasure and hope you will have fond memories of Malta and maybe return someday for a proper holiday!!! All the best to your family!!!

The apartment is in a great location. A minute walk from the harbor where you will have beautiful views, lots of places to eat, easy to hop on the bus, Find an excursion, or find whatever else you want to do. Head the opposite direction for a short walk and you are on the Mediterranean side for another great experience. A shopping mall is a short walk away with a nice supermarket. The apartment is very spacious, comfortable, and clean. The owner was very helpful and gave lots of info. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Malta.
Owner response:Thank you for the nice comments and it was my pleasure! I hope you enjoyed the island and our place as much as we do. All the best!

I rented this apartment during January-June 2011 while teaching at the University of Malta. The apartment is beautifully designed and furnished. It feels like you are staying in someone's home, not in a rental unit. The location is ideal. You are steps away from either the Mediterranean and harbor waterfronts with views, restaurants, buses and ferries, as well as a nice indoor shopping mall and two supermarkets. The landlord, Bob, could not be nicer, and his wife's family is always nearby in case you need to reach someone locally. I cannot say enough good things about this apartment. You will not go wrong if you stay here.
Owner response:Tom, I can say the same for you....it was a pleasure to have a long-term tenant as understanding and easy to deal with. My mother-in-law wanted me to wish you a Happy Holiday and the other residents you had met said to sy hello as well. All the best for 2012 and hopefully you will return to Malta someday! Best regards. Bob

I went to Malta with my family (husband and 5 year old) and another family (2 adults and a 3 year old) for a Christmas get away. The apartment was perfect for us. The apartment is located within walking distance to the buses (which we took to as many sites as possible) as well as to some AMAZING playgrounds right along the water for the kids to play at. My daughter and I have food allergies so were very excited that kitchen had everything to cook our own meals and there was a store (in the mall) that was within walking distance. The store had a nice selection of food and even had our gluten free and dairy free stuff that we were hoping for. The apartment was a good size with enough living area for all 6 of us and it was clean and comfortable. Wonderful! Bob was super helpful and there is a lot of information in the apartment as well once you get there. We had an amazing Christmas vacation and I seriously considered changing my plane tickets so that I could stay and extra week. It was great and we will definately stay there again on our next trip to Malta. We did have a bit of trouble figuring out which door was the actual apartment door, but just make sure you ask the driver to be clear and you should be fine.
Owner response:Annika, So glad you had a nice time and enjoyed the flat. I hope Christily has brought your daughter a new necklace to replace the one she lost! Have a wonderful holiday season and all the best to you and your family! Bob

Myself and 5 friends ventured to Malta for a wedding of 2 very good friends. I stumbled upon this property when I was searching for accommodation, and it worked out perfectly. Although I would recommend no more than 5 adults stay here, the location and quality of the apartment was superb! Bob was extremely helpful and resourceful both when booking and once we had arrived making suggestions of what to do, where to eat, booking taxis for us, etc. I highly recommend allowing Bob book taxis for you, although some of us also rented a car and managed just fine. For convenience sake though, the taxi service was great! I would definitely stay here again upon my return to Malta. Bob certainly takes care of you and provides everything you might need for a getaway in Malta. The flat is within walking distance to many restaurants, shops, etc. and isn't a bad walk to St. Julian's Bay either. Wishing I was still soaking up the sun in the Maltese "winter"....
Owner response:Kelsey, It was my pleasure and glad you and your friends got to enjoy the wedding and the island, even after getting stuck in London due to weather!!! Thanks again and best regards!

The flat is exactly as described and then some!!!! The location couldn't have been any better. We could get on a bus, take a ferry, or jump into our rental car and tour the island. All amenities are within walking distance of this flat My family is already talking about another trip to Malta and staying in the Malta Dream Flat. Finally, the help and advice provided by Bob was invaluable in helping our family get the most out of our vacation to Malta. I would definitely encourage anyone to consider the Malta Dream Flat when planning a trip to Malta

We stayed at the apartment while visiting our daughter studying at University of Malta. It was a great location that was close to the university residence yet right at the Sliema harbor. It was very comfortable for all four of us. Walking along the harbor in the morning and the evening was so relaxing and beautiful with great views of the historical buildings in Valetta. It's hard to believe it's just one block down to this beautiful harbor. The Sandwhich shop just up the hill on the corner was great for getting lunch for our outings. The ftiras are great and very inexpensive. Ta Kris restaurant was the best! Don't forget to try the rabbit there as it was outstanding. Bob was wonderful to work with and very accommodating to us.
Owner response:Glad you guys enjoyed Malta and getting to see your daughter while she was there studying!!! My pleasure and thanks!!!

The Malta Dream Flat was as described and provided a very comfortable "home away from home" for our party of five adults visiting Malta in early June 2010 .. much nicer than staying a a hotel. Bob is most accommodating and was a pleasure to work with throughout the rental process .. a MUCH appreciated bonus was that he prearranged our transportation to and from the airport! The flat is in the perfect location to access public transportation which will take you anywhere on the island, and is only a short bus or ferry ride to Valletta. A short walk to Tower grocery store which had everything we needed, and close to restaurants & bars along The Strand, the Malta Dream Flat is ideally located. Two restaurants of note are Ta Kris and Il-Merrill. I would not hesitate to recommend the Malta Dream Flat to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Malta!
Owner response:Thanks Jo and so glad you and the girls had a great time in Malta! It is my pleasure and thanks again!!

What a great place to stay! The apartment was perfect for me. It was very clean, easily accessible, within walking distance to everything I wanted (the sea, shopping, great espresso every morning)..and what is amazing is how quiet it was, even being in such a perfect location. I appreciated having the service that picked me up and took me back to the airport. One tip I can suggest for others is to find exactly what time you will be picked up for the airport, upon departing. Although it was not expected, I wanted to clean up the apartment a bit, before leaving, but my friendly driver showed up earlier than I expected, but I was ready. I should have checked on that, but thought that might help someone else. The services were great though and the people very patient, helpful and good drivers. Some things I loved about the apartment were the location, cleanliness, quiet, the kitchen was well equipped, and having a washer & dryer were just perfect and something I think everyone can appreciate. Bob was soooo great and very very helpful, and his mother in law is the most beautiful, and friendly person, and very respectful. I would have loved to visit with her more :) This is a great place, and I do have to say the Maltese people are beautiful, wholesome, and some of the most friendliest. One of my favorite things I did was to take a ferry over to Gozo, walk throughout some smaller towns, and visit the Azure Window. The weather was perfect (thank you for arranging that too!) :) Thank you for making this wonderful apt. available ...I have some of the most warm and wonderful memories and really did receive some much needed rest in such a restful place. Will I be returning? A resounding and definite Yes!
Owner response:Thanks Michelle and it was my pleasure!!! So glad you enjoyed the apartment and the island!!! Thanks again and let me know when you're ready to return!!!

We stayed at the Malta Dream Flat from April 13-20. Yes, that was right in the middle of the Iceland Volcano's first closure of European air space. Although scheduled to leave on the 19th, the airport closures required us to stay an extra day. Bob's(the owner) response to the situation was to tell us to stay as long as we needed and to simply call him to settle up when we got home. We were able to fly out the next day, but Bob's reaction to the change was typical of our entire stay at the flat; whatever we needed, he would take care of and adjust to our needs. Now to the apartment. It is in a wonderful location in Sliema, one block off the harbor that is lined with restaurants, pubs, the ferry to Valletta, taxis and the bus terminal. As close as we were to the action around the harbor, the building had the feel of the residential nieghborhood that is adjacent to the harbor area. Close to the grocery stores, markets and shopping. Also very handy to get to Valletta either by bus or ferry and to St Julien and Paceville which are just over the hill. Since we were visiting our son who is studying at the University of Malta, we wanted a place that was in a good location and this fit the bill perfectly. The apartment irself was as advertised and immaculate. Just be careful when you are turning off the lights not to turn off the hot water heater as we did one night A quick explanation from Bob had us back in hot water in no time. There were four of us and it was perfect to return there after a long day of sightseeing, enjoy some very inexpensive Maltese wine in the spacious living room and relax before heading out for the night. Malta is a wonderful island. Extremely reasonable prices at restaurants, especially when you leave the "tourist areas", but even in those tourist areas, we found the prices reasonable. If you stay, try a local place by the name of Ta Kris, which is around the corner and up a small alley from the apartment. Bob suggested it and it is one of the best meals we had on the island. If you get a chance, try to have dinner at night in Msida, after the crowds have left for the day. Also, the Hypogean is a must see, as is Valletta, the Co-Cathedral, and if you have time, Gozo. It wasn't warm enough when we were there for the beaches, but my son says they are worth the trip to the north part of the island.
Owner response:Bill, It was my pleasure to be able to help, and I am glad you were able to enjoy the island and our place during such a stressful time. The situation was hard enough to begin with, and I am glad I was able to give you some assurance of at least not having to worry about a place to stay while you tried to get home!!! Thanks again!!!

Our Christmas Vacation week long stay was just wonderful. It began great by having Bob arranging drivers to take us to and from the airport. They were very efficient and curious. The Flat was exactly as described on the website and immaculate. It fit our Family of four (two young adult children) very comfortably. The free WiFi came in very handy to look up Museum times etc. We found having a washer and dryer such a big help and easy to navigate. The kitchen had everything we needed. We were so pleased with the central location. We enjoyed the short walks to the many delicious restaurants, harbor views and bus lines. We did not need a car at all. The local Grocery store called "Tower" on High Street had everything we needed and it was very cose to the flat. Every restaurant that we went to was delicious. We enjoyed sampling hte many the Maltese foods quite a bit. In Silema we dined at “Giorgio” on Tigne’ Sea Front, “Ta Pina” and “Blondino” both on Gar Il-Lembi St, “Ta’ Kolina” on Tower Road, “Misto” on Tigne Sea Front, and had a very special Christmas Dinner at “Ta Kris” on Fawwara Lane. In Valetta we dined at “Da Marino” on St. John’s Square. We really enjoyed visiting the walled city of Mdina, Valetta, and Mosta. We wished we had a second week to see the other towns and museums. We chose “Paradise Diving” in Cirkewwa for our scuba diving. Martin did an excellent job. He even picked us up and dropped us off at the Flat. The water was chilly, as expected, but great fun. We were pleased that there were two balconies at the Dream Flat that were equipped to hang clothes to dry so it worked out great for our scuba gear. We went to Gozo for a day on the Ferry. We did limited research prior to our visit so we did not understand the infrequent and limited bus system as compared to Malta. We would recommend visitors take a taxi from the Ferry to the various towns for efficiently. We would have preferred more time touring the fascinating Citadel in Victoria than walking to find a bus stop. We also wished we went earlier in the day . It would be worth staying an overnight as there is a lot to enjoy. The owner, Bob was extremely prompt in his e-mail communication and provided very helpful information. He even recommends e-mailing him if there is anything that is needed during your stay.If we ever go back we will definitely rent this Dream Flat again. We have already recommended it to a coworker and his family who hope to visit Malta in the

My husband and I stayed at the Malta Dream Flat betweet Sept 19 and Oct 2nd. We were only supposed to stay for the first week but we were so happy and well placed, we decided to stay the additional week. We had 3 friends stay with us the first week and were all quite comfortable since the appartment is quite spacious. It is truly right around the corner from cafes and shops. After touring Malta, I am glad we stayed in Sliema and not St-Juliens or some of the other cities. St-Juliens is nice to visit (20 minute pleasant walk) but we needed some quiet at night. The appartment is very clean, modern and fully equipped. If we had stayed in a hotel for 2 weeks I would not have been as comfortable. I am definitely going to recommend this place to all my friends and co-workers. Malta was a beautiful and inexpensive surprise, the appartment made it even better. I highly recommend staying at the appartment as you will not be disappointed. Manji (Montreal, Canada)

The Malta "Dream Flat" was exactly as represented on the website. The location is excellent, the amenities very close by and overall it's a VERY comfortable apartment with LOTS of room. There were 3 of us and we all agreed that our vacation was truly enjoyable, not only because it was nice to return to our "own place" after a full day out and about, but also because Bob was so helpful answering our questions and providing suggestions prior to our departure from the US.

Our stay at the Dream Flat was just great. So wonderful to walk into such a spacious, welcoming apartment and a surprise to find so many extras - groceries, etc which have been left by the previous client. The position is excellent - close to everything (swimming area, shops, bus stop, eateries and mini-mart)and yet quiet. We loved the music wafting from the ballet school across the street. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone wanting a holiday away from the madding crowd. We were impressed with Malta and recommend visitors watch the Malta Experience to get the real history of this wonderful little country.

This is a beautiful, modern, clean apartment in a wonderful location. Since everything had already been said about it, I'll just add that our interaction with Robert and his Malta relatives was great: they all went out of their way to help us. And the thing we loved most about the flat was that it really felt like home. We cooked (some of) our own meals, had lots of space for the four of us, got to know the local grocer, etc., and this all contributed to a great vacation. Parking may be a problem in the area but we always managed to park within a 2-minute walk from the flat. Overall a GREAT experience.

The apartment was perfectly located for our stay and was a great space for my wife and I and our teenage boy and girl who each had their own rooms. Two full bathrooms were also a plus. Having a washer and dryer also helped us to pack light for the trip. We took the Malta buses everywhere, so the 5 minute walk to the bus stop along the Sliema harbor was perfect. Having a home-like atmosphere to unwind in after a busy day seeing the sights is important when we travel and this Malta flat really fit the bill!

Bob's Malta Dream Flat is a fantastic accommodation! It is spacious, airy, modern, nicely appointed and very comfortable. It is well-equipped and even has a washer and dryer which was a real bonus for us as we had been traveling for awhile when we arrived in Malta. The location of the flat is perfect and it is just a few minutes walk along the water to the buses and the ferry which take you just about anywhere you would want to go. Bob was very helpful to us in planning our stay in both Gozo and Malta. Besides his wonderful flat, he also found us a place in Gozo, arranged all our transfers and our car rental in Gozo. It was such a luxury to have this done for us and Bob was amazingly helpful - always got right back to us with answers to our questions! We very much enjoyed our stay in the Maltese Islands and definitely recommend Bob's flat as well as his travel expertise!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! This flat is in the perfect place to see Malta! Easy, easy, easy, walking to everything, just around the corner from the waterfront called "The Strand". The flat is clean and comfortable and lacks nothing. And, it was quiet and peaceful. Do see the Hypogeum! Either book early online, or, go to the Hypogeum by 8 am and you can get tickets for the 1200 noon tour for either that day or the next (although the ticket price is double). If you really want to expedite travel around the island, use the car service; they are expensive but absolutely reliable! We used them to get to the Gozo ferry which is on the other side of the island. We booked a taxi when we got there and saw all the highlights. We thought Gozo was well worth the trip. The Malta Hop on Hop off bus is wonderful! OK, I could go on and on ...there is so much to see! Bottom line: you cannot go wrong renting the Malta Dream Flat!

A new clean spacious place well equipted by ameican standards on a very quiet street just one block from the water front. The Sliema location is very active after noon and night with many cafes and places to eat or just relax. the bus pick ups are a short 5 minute walk from the apartment. This apartment far exceeded our expectations and is located in a very nice and convenient part of Sliema. Only a 5 minute walk to the ferry to Valetta, the bus stop and Malta great public transportation, cafes, lidos, shopping and fine dining. There was only two of us, but the apartment could easily handle at least five people comfortably. There is a ballet dance studio across the street and we enjoyed watching the dancers practice and listening to the piano while we had dinner in the apartment. We felt right at home. Bob, the owner is a very helpful and gracious host and gave us all the information we needed to ensure a wonderful vacation. We plan on returning and renting again. Malta is a interesting place and the Maltese people are very warm, welcoming, and friendly. Thanks Bob for providing us with a place which will give us fond memories for a long time.

We were very happy with our accomodations in Sliema. We felt at home immediately. Very clean spacious and all the necessary amenities. Close to grocery stores and walking distance to the main seaside promenades. Easy access to Valetta and St Julians.Parking was avaialble on the streets. The street and condo was very quiet. We highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a large apartment for their accomodations in Malta.

The appartment has everything. There were 5 of us adults staying and we found it very spacious, comfortable and extremely well equiped. It's position is well balanced between the local and the visitors point of view. Another great positive is that it comes with a personal introduction to (cousin)Joe at the Changes Bar.

Mr. Basarab My family has just returned from a vacation trip to Malta where we all had a wonderful time. I do want to tell you how pleased we were to have your comfortable "Malta Dream Flat" in which to relax during our stay. It certainly included everything we needed (and more) and was conveniently located for our excursions. Malta is a great place for a vacation and we all hope that a return trip is in our future. Hi Bob! Just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time in Malta. The apartment was beautiful and I agree with the other guests that the pictures do not show how really beautiful the apartment is. We were a family of 5 with an infant and there was plenty of room for everyone. Thank you for providing the crib. The apartment had everything that we needed- from towels to kitchen utensils, dvd, tv, washer and dryer. Just like home!! We loved the neighborhood (great location!) and really enjoyed meeting Cousin Joe!! Lola was a big help too!! We have been telling all our friends about Malta and your apartment. We definitely will be back!! Thanks again for sharing your beautiful apartment. Lynn Bemis

This is a very nice apartment. It is clean, spacious and located close to the harbor, ferry and other locales. The owner is very helpful and responsive to all inquires. My family stayed here and enjoyed our time in Malta. We found the apartment to be close to shopping, grocery and restaurants, and just a short walk to the beach. Great place!

Location, location, location, even when renting this is important. The apartment was very nice. There was four of us father, mother and two sons that of course each had to have their own rooms. The apartment served us well. The corner grocery had the bread that is a a must have in Malta and the larger grocery was only 3 blocks away. The major bus stop that allows you to get any where in Malta was also just 2 blocks way. Basically everything needed was a short walk. Would highly recommend the apartment.

I stayed with my three children at the apartment and was delighted with it. the apartment is spacious, clean, modern and welcoming. The apartment contains all modern appliances essential for a family including washing maching, dryer, microwave, cooker fridge/freezer, and the all essentail dish washer just to name but a few of the appliances! The pictures on this site do NOT do it justice. The location of the apartment is central to all activities and truthfully only a couple of minutes walk from all bus and boat routes. I felt my children were safe in the apartment (this was a major concern of mine) and also the Owner of the apartment was exceptional with information on the island, places to go and visit and where to buy the all important litre of milk for the coffee! This was a most enjoyable holiday, with excellent accomodation, we were only on the return flight home when the children were asking when we would be returming and I have to save in the past four days since our return home I myself have already been checking out availability of flights to Malta. I have every intention to return to Malta and stay in this apartment again.

I was a bit apprehensive about renting vs hotel, but we were able to have much more fun staying together in a flat than 2 hotel room!!! Also, the money we saved here allowed us to spend more on our holiday. The flat is beautiful and greatly placed right by the sea with shops, bars, restaurants and swimming all within 5 minutes walk. I will stay there again.

We love this apartment, and the area and proximity to everything couln't be better. It has a garage space for easy parking, plenty of places withing walking distance, and a fully-equipped, brand new kitchen, all brand new furniture, a flat screen TV with DVD and cable and 3 bedrooms with two full baths. All rooms have ceiling fans, and there is a washer/dryer as well. Seeing is believing!!!
