The Firefly is a 2nd story condo which means it is quiet because there is not anyone above you. Also, your balcony is private and quiet as well with great views of the Gulf of Mexico and the pool.
The "Firefly" condo is in the beautiful, Island Retreat Condo Community which is in town and near great restaurants and activities. The exact location is: Island Retreat Rd, Port Aransas, TX 78373. It is off of 11th Street in a great part of town.
The "Firefly" condo has a beautifully updated interior and is in a great location. The owners have spent a great deal of effort making the "Firefly" condo comfortable, warm, fun, and like new. The condo has all new paint, flooring and kitchen appliances (with all the utensils you need to prepare great snacks and delicious meals). The bedrooms are very comfortable and cozy with tile flooring instead of carpet.
***Please Note*** Some Great New Additions : FREE WIRELESS HIGH SPEED INTERNET and a 32" television in the living room. Also in the living room: Couch, Leather Love Seat with Leather Foot Stool, New Coffee Table and New End Table . There is also a CD player. Also, bring your coffee beans because there is a grinder and a coffee maker.
**Attention Golfers**- There is a new world class, championship link golf course designed by Arnold Palmer. It is the New Port Dunes Golf Club and it is open for public play.
Please note the overhead picture with the condo outlined in red to see the exact location. It has a great view of the pool and the Gulf of Mexico. It is on the 2nd floor and there is no condo above, so it is quiet. The condo has some great amenities and accommodations such as: smoke-free, master bedroom with a king bed and bath, a second full bath, a second bedroom with 2 full beds and a private, second story balcony with view of the Gulf of Mexico that provides great ocean breezes. You are within walking distance of all the great activities. The condo is right in Port Aransas and has its own private path to the beach.
The "Firefly" condo is smoke-free and does not allow pets, so it is very clean. From the balcony, you can see the sand walkway to the beach ! The walkway is only 20 yards from the condo. You are on the beach ! The condo community, has coin operated laundry for your convenience. The condo community has been recently renovated and is a great place for families, couples or friends.

Booking Requires 50% of the total due with the remaining balance due 12-15 days prior to check in. Cancellations must be made 21 days prior to arrival for refund less a $100 fee. Reservations or questions. There are no refunds for early departures. Maid service can be provided for you during your stay for a fee. Additional fees will be charged for damaged items or excessive cleaning needs. Check in time is 4pm (it can be earlier sometimes, based on availability). Check out is 11:30am. Limit of 9 individuals in the Condo.

My family enjoyed the place very much. The description was perfect and the location was amazing. I was able to make a short drive to get our gear down to the beach, and the family preferred to walk the shorter distance. The grounds were well kept and the pool was wonderful. I did miss having a TV in the master bedroom but looked at the description and saw mention of only one TV. It was no big deal. My wife made comment of there only being 2 small skillets and no large one. This made preparing meals challenging when cooking for 5. Hopefully you can get a new one put in there. Other than that the place is great and the futon does work, even though he doesn't put it in the description, we used it every night.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children.

My family and I had a great stay at the Firefly. The location was perfect for the SandFest. The condo is well furnished and the AC works great. Check-in/check-out was a breeze and the owner was very easy to work with. We definitely plan on staying here again!

Accommendations were nice, but we paid for accommendations for 9 and we did not have enought sleeping arrangements.Two double beds -4 people, one fouton that was broken and would not let down, so just one could sleep there, one king size bed - 4 people? There was only 7 towels and 6 washcloths, there were 9 of us! The DVD player did not work because all the wires were missing. But, it was clean, the location was perfect, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioner worked well.
Owner response:In response to this, I'd like to thank the guest for the compliment around the accommodations being nice. I'm sorry they feel they "paid" for sleeping for 9 people. However, my website clearly states in more than 1 location the EXACT number and size of beds. The website states, if you need more sleeping arrangements then you may want to bring an inflatable mattress, etc. There is 1 King in the master and two full beds in the guest. It does NOT state anywhere there is a futon. This is one of two mentions of the EXACT sleeping accommodations directly from my VRBO site: "The condo has some great amenities and accommodations such as: smoke-free, master bedroom with a king bed and bath, a second full bath, a second bedroom with 2 full beds and a private, second story balcony with view of the Gulf of Mexico that provides great ocean breezes". If there is a need for more towels, a guest can call the front desk and ask for them. The DVD player works great and the wires were there, they were just unplugged. This guest never told anyone the DVD player was not working until they left. When I was notified, I had the wires plugged in and it took 10 minutes. This guest never called the front desk and asked for more towels. There is a telephone in the room to make calling the front desk easy. Thank you as well for the compliment regarding the cleanliness, location, beds and air conditioner. I've owned and rented this condo for 5 years and try really hard to make it a great time at the beach! Cheers.

I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the condo this past week. Everything worked just fine and the kitchen was well stocked with the various pots and pans that we needed. I did have to tape up a couple of holes in the master bedroom ceiling where the accoustic tiles were missing. That is the only recommendation that I have for up keep. Thank you.

The Firefly was a comfortable, roomy condominium situated on well maintained grounds. There was a full sized table in the kitchen area and newer ceramic and laminate floors. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked efficiently, even when it was in the high 90s outside. The condo balcony offered a great view of the ocean and it was an easy walk to the beach. Although there were many families staying at the resort, it was nice and quiet inside of our condo and noise was not a problem.We did not have children with us, but we could see there were lots of opportunities for family activities: a swimming pool, shuffleboard, volleyball court, basketball court, hopscotch, picnic tables and grills that were available for use by guests. The owner was responsive and helpful with suggestions for restaurants. The check-in process was easy and I appreciated the the fact that towels/sheets were furnished. Please note: there is no elevator to this second story condo, though you can park very close to the stairs.
Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We stayed one week last summer and this unit is hot, hot, hot - the AC does not work well! We had floor fans we moved from room to room and put right in front of us. Called management & they said it was hot because it was the top unit & the sun hit the roof! We were miserable!
Owner response:I agree ! The unit was hot, as I stayed in it the following week to see for myself as the owner. Management did tell the guest that which was not the best response. The following week when I stayed I had the outside unit replaced. This was during the summer of 2009. It's all ready to cool for this summer of 2010 !
