It's been a while since my boyfriend and I went here for our anniversary but we still reminisce about our stay! The pictures can't do this place justice. It's a rustic cabin with a modern flair and is larger than the pictures make it appear. Things we loved: - The property owners were a dream to deal with. Clear directions, fast responses and overall courtesy. You can tell they put a lot of love into the property. - The house and porch are set up on a surround sound system, which was fun for when one of us was cooking on the grill and the other was inside in the kitchen. Bring some mixed CDs or enjoy the classic rock CDs there (loved your music taste btw!). - The wood-burning stove! So many rentals advertised "fire places" that were actually gas logs... nothing can beat building your own fire and watching it burn all night! - The HOT TUB! This was my favorite, for sure... Easy directions and maintenance, a great place to relax in the morning or night! Things we could have loved more: - The TV/seating area was ideal for cuddling on the couch. However, the great thing about having the [small] TV on a moveable stand was that we could bring chairs by the wood-burning stove, roll the TV over, and watch the fire and a movie simultaneously! - A personalized map of the area might have been nice with the house at the center. We really had no idea where we were in relation to some of the stores, shopping, outdoor activities, etc. so we might have missed out on some fun activities (guess we'll have to explore more next time!) Things we loved that others might not: - Cell phone service but no internet. Loved being unplugged but available in case of emergencies! - Super remote! Stock up on groceries on your way there so you don't have to drive up and down the mountain for too much. Some people may prefer having more things close by but we loved the remoteness of it. - Stairways were a little tight, especially for my 6'2 boyfriend, but it added to the charm. Just something to be aware of for taller people or someone who may have difficulty navigating narrow/steep steps. - It was great for 2 people but doesn't have a lot of privacy for 4. The upstairs bedroom is a pretty small loft with very little privacy and only really enough room to sleep. Also, the bedroom downstairs doesn't have an actual door (just a curtain) so when people come down to use the bathroom you would be able to hear them. Make sure you're very good friends with your other guests :)

My husband & I were fortunate to have stayed at this darling & romantic cottage for a long weekend in October. The view from the deck is breathtaking and the hot tub was devine after a day of ziplining in Harper's Ferry and shopping in Berkeley Springs. Only a couple of hours from DC's metro area, this is a must for couples looking to get away from it all and enjoy nature's autumnal beauty! Erika was responsive and courteous and the house is spotless! Thank you for sharing with us!

Erika & Tim were gracious enough to allow my wife and I to share their cabin for our one year anniversary. From horseback riding at Cacapon and massages at Berkeley Springs to scaling Maryland Heights at Harpers Ferry and strolling the many farmers markets, the cabin is ideally situated for any and all actives in the eastern panhandle area. The only thing that could top the cabin and its many amenities is the view from the deck....incredible! I proposed to my wife on Maryland Heights at Harpers Ferry and we make several trips back to the area each year. I think we've found our new 'home base' for our visits....we can't wait to come back!

We had a wonderful time staying at "Tiny Logs". It was the perfect setting for peace, quiet and romance. The view alone makes for the perfect setting! WOW! We enjoyed hiking up the mountain trails, relaxing in the hot tub & grilling on the deck. The only thing missing is satellite tv (it would have been nice to just check in to reality from time to time). :) Thanks so much, Erika & Tim, for sharing your cabin! We hope to return again very soon.

Beautful panorama from the deck; late evening hot-tubbing with spectacular views. Absolutely charming, cozy and meticulously clean. A must getaway for true R&R.

Our stay was a gift for my husband's 50th birthday ! He was very surprised, not to mention we both fell in love with " tiny logs !" Comfy A-frame with everything that you need, & beautiful views out on deck, relaxing hottub, fresh mountain air, all the scenery was just breath taking. Even a little chiminea, which I had to experiment with. I made hummingbird food, & had a lil friend there all the time, so I guess I made it right. Even let me take several pics of it, close up. Just a place that takes your mind to peaceful thoughts. I didn't get to meet Erika or Tim, but I did get to chat with Erika thru e-mails, & she was very pleasant, & courteous. Words aren't enough to desecribe this type of serenity. It's just beautiful!! We hope to return again, & I'm not waiting for my 50th b-day !! Thanks Erika & Tim

I can't say enough about the breathtaking views from the deck! My wife and I enjoyed our stay immensely. Generally we head to the beach this time of year but decided to change our plans for our anniversary this year, and we are glad we did. We slept in the loft and had the pleasure of waking up to beautiful sunrises every morning. Bring your camera and telescope if you have one, as the stars are countless in abundance. I was weary from the pictures on the website that it wouldn't be "mountainy" enuough, but it's very cozy and has a "homey" feel to it. I will definately be making arrangements to return. My only complaint is that we went to the mountains to escape the politics and crowds of the DC area and were a little dissapointed that there was a small political banner tacked to the side of the house that is visible upon arrival. That did detract from the initial appeal of the house, but in no way kept us from enjoying ourselves once inside. Two BIG thumbs up!

We try to get away every year for our anniversary. In 22 years of marriage, this was the best, most romantic stay we've ever had. The view, the location (we love to take hikes in the woods and this place is surrounded by them), the hot tub, the privacy, the way it is laid out... we'll never forget our stay. I'm not sure when we'll be able to get away again, and we almost never go back to the same place twice... but I'm sure we'll try to find a way to get back to this place!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin over Labor Day and it was the best getaway we have ever had. Quiet, secluded, romantic and beautiful. Cannot wait to return to our version of paradise.
