Welcome to Sedona Vacation Villa, your very own Dragonfly Sanctuary Retreat. In body, mind and spirit you will be refreshed and renewed by a landscape that is among the most beautiful in the world. The Sanctuary is located on a magical acre in the heart of Sedona's mystical red rock formations, off Highway 179, one mile south of uptown Sedona.
It's high hilltop, powerfully aligned with Airport and Cathedral vortices, is perfect for meditation, yoga, aerobic exercise, dining, star gazing and camping. There is private access to the vast Munds Mountain Wilderness Preserve. Nearby, within walking distance, are wonderful restaurants, galleries and shops, including Hillside and Talaquepaque.
Designed by Sedona's prestigious Design Group architects, the enchanting passive solar Sanctuary is set in the brow of the hill. Surrounded by a luscious garden paradise featuring serpentine rock walls, bamboo hedges, flagstone patios, ponds, waterfall, porch, love seat swing, tables, chairs and barbeque grill, plus hot tub, outdoor shower and gazebo, it is a truly unique Sedona vacation home.
Once inside the Sanctuary, walls of glass bring the magnificent stone temples and intimate garden oasis into the immediate living space. Echoing the serenity of the garden, the comfortable living room is calm and welcoming. An open floor plan leads to a clean, well-equipped kitchen with lovely views and large pantry. On the other side of a dividing bar is the unusual custom dining table and a continuation of the indoor/outdoor effect.
The charming downstairs bedroom has a queen size bed, adjoining full bath and patio doors opening to the side garden. Overlooking the living and dining room is an expansive loft master suite with king bed, panoramic views and a large bath with jacuzzi tub in addition to the shower. The detached third bedroom/studio with cozy interior, day bed, half bath and extensive library, has it's own rock enclosed patio and Cathedral views. Large statues and local artwork complement a harmonious, zen inspired, blend of colors, patterns and furnishings. Changing effects of light and shadow further enhance the artistic aura. Both house and land evidence loving care and attention from its Sanctuary stewards.
Among the numerous spa amenities are a 2008 Sundance Altamar hot tub, outdoor shower, infrared sauna (by special arrangement) yoga mats and videos, exercise balls and hand weights, together with stress calming, energy enriching books and music. We feature "green clean" practices and environmental respect.
Wedding, honeymoon, anniversary and other special occasion couples, artists, writers, teachers, healers, leaders, life coaches, photographers and nature lovers, just to name a few, find this place to be a haven of peace and regeneration.
