DUPLEX WITH VIEWS
Relax on your balcony or up one flight on your private terrace and watch the sun set over the city while your steaks are cooking on the very large bbq or parillia.
QUIET
Because of the bus noise, quiet apartments are very rare in Buenos Aires, and this one has the benefit of being high up, while facing a park so that no noise bounces off buildings across the street.
PARK
The park is a joy filled with cooling green trees. It is fringed by 3 different cafes, each with indoor and outdoor seating. A beautiful cathedral sits on the 4th corner of the the park.
ATM and GROCERY
The park is also edged by a bank with an ATM and a grocery store. It is an extremely convenient location, and you are just 2 blocks from the buses and subway line D on Ave. Santa Fe.
TERRACE
The Terrace has teak chairs and a large teak table for dining, There is also six foot long granite countertop containing a sink with hot and cold running water, so it is easy to prepare food for the grill. While you enjoy the wonderful view across the city you can imagine what it took to get all of those things up the circular stairway!
INTERIOR
The luxury touches inside the apartment include a black granite countertop imported from Brazil in the kitchen. The bathroom is all glass and mirrors. The glass-topped circular dining table is supported by a cast aluminum column created by a local artist.
The white marble-topped furniture was custom-built for this apartment. There is a knee hole area and a chair that fits that space to aid make-up. The photos show the moveable marble topped drawers that can act as a coffee table for serving drinks.
The TV is also on a moveable table so that you can turn it as you wish. Wi-Fi maximizes the usefulness of the Balcony and the Terrace.
ON THE PARK
There is a gym, and I find it amusing that below the gym there is an ice-cream parlor! In addition to the 3 cafe/restaurants there is a newstand, and a fresh pasta store. You really never need to walk more than one block in any direction to enjoy life. Off one side of the Park is Charcas Blvd, one of only 3 in the city. It has a tree shaded pedesttain walk bounded by stores and restaurants for blocks.
No-smoking, please.

I stayed in this lovely apartment for 19 days in and it was in a great location. The place is very comfortable with all amenities, being able to sit on the veranda was an added bonus. Robert the owner was very helpful, I highly recommend this place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Why the Owner Chose Palermo Soho:
I searched for 2 years to find a property like this one. I wanted to be on a park for the view into greenery and the noise reduction.
Finding a penthouse duplex with a view over the city was a bonus. The upper level was barren except for an shower head on the wall. Seems the previous owners would sunbathe, and shower on the deck. The bbq was on the balcony.
There was obvious potential upstairs, so I started by moving the bbq up there, then I took the water heater out of the kitchen, and put a larger one up on the terrace.
Once I had hot and cold water on that level, it didn't take long to decide to install a sink and counter top. Now you could prepare food, cook, and cleanup upstairs.
Next you needed a dining table, and a roof to shield the sun during the day. The Greek columns echo the Florentine building across the park, and it was a struggle to get them up on the terrace. The delivery company balked (actually every delivery person balked when they found there was no elevator to the top floor--only circular stairs) so everything was either carried up or roped up to the top floor. It was an adventure, but the results were worth it.
Next we needed some large planters and plants to soften the look of all the stone and tile. The hard part is getting tenants to water the plants when the need it. Once a week by the maid in the Summer is not enough.
Anytime that it is not rented, I leave my large apartment in Recoleta and travel North for 20 blocks to enjoy the sunset with a drink on the terrace.
I hope you will enjoy this apartment as much as I have.
