Our cabin was designed and built by our company in 2004 and 2005. We own a custom home building and interior design business. Everything is new! The house is over 2800 square feet and is beautifully furnished. The interior motif is "Classic Tahoe". There is no better location in Lake Tahoe, the "Best Shore is the West Shore". You are nestled in the trees, approximately 400 feet from the Lake and 400 feet from the ski hill, where you can ski right into the backyard.
Our location is extremely private, but at the same time, right in the midst of every activity you can possibly imagine. The property is one half acre and backs up to the Homewood Mountain Resort ski area. The street is very quiet, especially in the winter season. The road is maintained by the county and our garage and driveway have parking for five cars.
Coming home to our residence is like staying at a Five Star Hotel suite. The upstairs Master Suite, 23 x 15 feet, features a "bed and breakfast" gas fireplace with stone hearth, king bed, TV with satellite dish, vaulted ceilings and a 8 foot glass slider door with views of towering pines and cedars in the forest. The new hot tub is located on the deck immediately outside the slider door. The bath includes a large tile shower, double sinks and walk-in closet.
The Gourmet Kitchen and Great Room is designed for family gatherings and entertaining. The Kitchen boasts a 5 foot square butcher block island, with raised bar seating, all stainless steel appliances, two sinks and an extensive collection of cookware. Preparing a holiday feast or a family meal is a breeze in this kitchen.
The Great Room features a vaulted ceiling, stone hearth and large gas fireplace. The entertainment area includes a 42 inch big screen TV with satellite dish, DVD player, surround sound system with speakers in four rooms. The dining area has a long table, with seating for 12 people, which is positioned in front of a 10 foot window. The view outside is a delightful 1930's Old Tahoe setting.
There is another upstairs bedroom, which is a classic knotty pine dorm room, with two trundle beds and one queen. This room has it's own balcony and bath, complete with tub and shower.
The downstairs master suite is 23 x 15 feet, with beautiful cherry cabinets and private bath. It includes a king size bed, large couch, tile shower, large closet and a view out the back of the forest.
Across the hall is a combination Laundry room and Mini-kitchen, complete with sink, microwave, dishwasher, and much more.
The game room is equipped with a old "funky" upright piano, TV with satelite dish, poker table, wood burning fireplace and a queen size sofa bed with an adjoining private bathroom including shower. The game room has an exterior door with balcony.
The upper deck runs across the back of the house and is accessible from the Great Room/Kitchen and the Master Bedroom. The large two car garage is located under the Great Room and has plenty of storage, lots of Oak firewood and work bench. The driveway is maintained by our local snow removal contractor.
Within walking distance, there is a Five Star restaurant, two boat marinas with fuel and launch services and the Homewood Mountain Resort ski hill. The ski area is dedicated to family fun and boosts incredible views of Lake Tahoe.
A grocery store, a café, a pizza parlor, post office and a full-on sport rental shop with bikes, ski rentals, and more, approximately 400 feet in either direction! There is no fuss or worry regarding traffic or parking for summer or winter activities. You can walk to both! All you have to do is find your way to our Tahoe Shangri-La, park the car and enjoy!
