Our Old Orchard beach house is only 75 steps to seven miles of spacious beach. The house is the fifth building back from the beach. The Old Orchard Beach Pier is only 3/4 mile away and an easy walk. If you get tired and can't walk back, just hop on the Old Orchard Beach Trolley, ($1.00) and ride back to the house. The Trolley stop is 2 doors down from our front door. Local shopping, amusements and Thursday night fireworks provide entertainment for all ages. Choose lobster in the rough at any of the many restaurants. Explore Maine's lighthouses, antique shops, rocky coastline, or secluded harbors.
Portland, Maine's largest city, is only 20 minutes away. Portland's "Old Port" has been converted into a shopping and dining district. North of Portland is Freeport, the home of L. L. Bean and outlet shopping.
So pick a week, and get ready for an exciting summer vacation.
