We enjoyed the week visit it went by very fast. if you want to be in the heart of Kaanapali this is the spot for you. We chose to eat our dinners out, the restaurant in the area are great. if you are eating in the condo is perfect for that. We did buy a steak and grilled it outside by the pool it was perfect A cold beer while we grilled was a excellent ending to a perfect day ..
Owner response:Thank you Joe for your kind words, and hope to see you again soon. Bob

We have stayed in several units here at The Whaler, and your studio (1118) is by far the best! You continue to not just maintain but "improve" the unit. The new shower enclosure with the Dolphins is a knock out! The all stainless steel appliances in the kitchen are wonderful, and we love the DVD library and 46” Sony TV. Being right next to the Whaler's Village is a shopping and restaurant delight. We, also, love sitting on the lanai enjoying the ocean and mountain views and we will continue to stay here every year! You have made this our Maui home away from home. Mahalo!
Owner response:Thank you Laura and Scott for your wonderful comments, and your return visit has been confirmed.

The Whaler Unit #1118 is an awesome place to stay right on the beach in Kaanapali. Bob is a pleasure to work with for all the arrangements. Bob knows a lot about Maui. The true value of the condo can only be experienced when you are actually there and see the view. You can snorkel down the beach 5 minutes at Black rock. This studio unit is well equipped with everything a couple needs for vacation. The kitchen has every cooking utensil imaginable. The appliances are brand new. i.e.: Blenders, toasters..Etc. The bathroom is also well stocked. Plenty of towels and wash rags. The glass doors on the shower are great along w/ the soap(s) & conditioner dispensers in the shower. The water pressure is awesome. The unit has a recliner chair to sit back, relax and watch the huge TV screen. It has DVD player and a connection to the internet all included. The bed is very comfortable. The lanai is excellent. We had breakfast every morning while gazing out over the view. The added screen doors were great. It faces black rock side of the island and is wonderful because you get the early sun and afternoon shade. The unit also comes with coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, straw hats, iron & board. It has a library of books. The breeze on the 11th floor is excellent and most times A/C was not needed. The check-in staff were wonderful and the lobby area clean. On our last day we found the business office where to print boarding passes for free. They have an underground parking lot with huge spaces and if fills up then they have additional outside Parking lots. The Whaler also supplies shopping carts to bring groceries upstairs. The garden grounds, ponds & pool are well maintained with plenty of chairs and cabana shades. This unit was a home away from home place to stay. Many Mahalo's to you Bob for sharing your home in Maui. David & Mary.
Owner response:Dear David and Mary, Thank you for your terrific review, and it sounds like you two really had the time of your life. That is what we try for, and it looks like it is working. We will keep it up, and hope You will book with us again. Aloha, Bob

Staying at Bob & Sandra’s unit is like your home away from home, but I can guarantee you do not have the spectacular view this unit has. The 180 degree sweeping view of the beach, famous Black Rock, the coastal line, Moloki, golf course and the mountains is breathtaking and it keeps drawing us back every year. Unit #1118 has everything you need from cook ware to beach chairs umbrellas and coolers. Bob & Sandra keep their unit updated, clean and you will want for nothing! Bob & Sandra are very informative about the island and new places to visit such as restaurants and activities because they want you to have a great vacation. The location is ideal for all your water activities such as snorkeling, surfing, parasailing and just steps away at the Whaler Village is shopping and great restaurants. Lahaina is only 5 minutes away for more good restaurants and shopping, but you may not want to leave Kaanapali Beach! We feel this is the place to say on Kaanapali Beach because it’s the most beautiful beach and Bob & Sandra’s unit is by far the best value, especially with it’s view. Mahalo
Owner response:Dear Melody and Terry, thank you for your terrific comments, and thanks for your annual bookings for many years, Bob

We have been to Maui many times and Bob and Sandra's unit is by far the best we have stayed at. The view of Black Rock and Moloki is unbelieveable. The unit is beautifully furnished, has all the ammenities you can possibly want, and is immaculate. You can't beat the location on one of the world's most beautifull beaches, with Whaler's Village right next door. We have stayed here many times and highly recommend it.
Owner response:Thank you John and Joyce for your kind comments, and hope to see you there again. Aloha, Bob

Thank you again for letting us enjoy your beautiful condo. We can't believe it's been a year since our last stay and we are already counting down the days until next summer. It's our home away from home--but our home doesn't have your view! We are so lucky and blessed to be able to enjoy all this. We will be back again next year. Love your new furnishings and bed! Best sleep I've had in years! Mahalo

Kaanapali is our favorite place, and 1118 is a terrific place to spend a vacation. Very generously outfitted, and sitting on the lanai for breakfast and sunset, snorkling at black rock every day, golf at Kapalua and Kaanapali, what a vacation! Thanks Bob, you have a great place here, and we look forward to returning to 1118 this fall.
