The unique feature of this unit is that it WORKS AS A 2 BR. OR A 3 BR .. The media room, which is adjacent to the living areas and provides beautiful views, is not furnished as a "bedroom" as it is in other "3 bedroom" condos.
Instead, it is furnished as a sitting room with comfortable chairs, a TV, and a beautiful custom cabinet...creating one large continuous living area---but- the cabinet contains a QUEEN murphy bed, converting it to a private third bedroom if extra sleeping space is needed, with a private bath, large closet, and balcony access - close it off at night with the paneled pocket doors. You're not paying extra for a third " bedroom" you may or may not need--your paying for an awesome living area and balcony--2 br condos can't even come close to this experience ( I know because I own two)---
The views from the wraparound balcony, only available with the 3 bedroom floorplans are unsurpassed--- If you're splurging on a fabulous Portofino vacation, you may as well go all the way!

An incredibly relaxing vacation with great amenities

Recently my husband, daughters and I, along with our good friends and their daughter stayed at Julie's condo at Portofino. What a beautiful condo! It had everything we needed for an incredible vacation. The condo was well stocked with kitchen items, pots and pans and all that's needed to keep a family eating for a week. Also, the amenities at Portofino were better than anyplace we have been thus far in the panhandle. We enjoyed the beach on the sound and found hermit crabs each day. We also enjoyed the beauty of the beaches on the gulf side and enjoyed shelling there. In addition to these choices, we enjoyed the pool at Tower 2 and at the pools at the Lifestyle Center at Portofino. Our children enjoyed some of the activities at Adventure Cove, as well. All in all, I recommend this location highly, and Julie was super to work with! We will come back again in the future.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We have been vacationing in the area for years and I have to admit that the owner of this condo has gone way out of her way to make it the best we had ever experienced. The double door entry opened up to a grand view of the sprawling living area populated with rich and deep tone color furniture and enhanced by lush tropical plants all over. Then there is one incredible view from the huge balcony spanning almost 180 degree from the bay on one side to the gulf on the other side. Back inside, every bedroom is decorated with all the luxury touches, and each can be a master suit in itself with its own bath. The entertainment electronic gadgets aren't top of the line but certainly fancy enough for us to kick back to watch a flick at the end of a long day at the beach. Our children brought with them the Xbox 360 and had a blast on the flat screen when the adults weren't using it. There is only one thing I wish was better was the kitchen utensils and misc. But that didn't matter to us much because we didn't prepare that many meals, other than the daily coffee and tea and snacks preparation. The garage parking and numerous swimming pool choices to choose from were wonderful. I didn't plan this to be a fishing vacation but did wind up with a lot of fun and good action on a variety of pan fish on the pier in the back of the complex. Do bring your equipment if you feel like taking a break from the beach. There are fish to catch right from the pier and all along the sound. We will definitely want to call this place home again and surely hope that the owner will have the weekend we want available come next June. We treated this place just like our home for it is too nice and elegant to do otherwise! Thank you for a great stay and we are looking forward to our next summer vacation already!

We could not believe how beautiful this condo was. When we walked in through the front doors, all we could say was "Wow!" It was so incredibly decorated, you would have to see it to believe it. We were so very happy to stay at this condo that we didn't want to leave. The views from the balcony were unbelievable. The Gulf was to the right and the bay was to the left. We looked directly down at the pools at the fitness center, where my girls were crazy for the smoothie bar. The beach was a short walk across the street, although we spent more time at the pools. The indoor pool was absolutely enormous. It said that the capacity was 70, but it could have easily accommodated more than twice that. We are so grateful that we got the chance to stay at such a beautiful place and we hope to do it again and again. The owner was fabulous. She has serious decorating talent. We were very lucky to stay at her wonderful place.
