We really enjoyed are stay in the condo and were thankful for flexibility on the check in time due to the bad weather. However, one thing that I would like to mention is our dissatisfaction with some of the listed community amenities. The unit profile should be updated to reflect that there is NOT a hot tub at The Islander, at least there was not during our stay in April 2013. While this wouldn't have been too much of a deal breaker in planning our trip, the pool and hot tub were taken into consideration since it's not very warm at this time of the year in the ocean. In addition, the cold cold weather during our stay greatly affected our ability to enjoy the outdoors as much as we would have liked to. We thought that we could take a dip in the heated pool on our first night after the bad weather had passed but needless to say, the pool did not seem to be heated at all. Based on this and the poor weather conditions, strong cross winds, and chilly temperatures, we really were confined to our room for most of the stay. We were able to enjoy the beach for a few hours on Saturday but it was still pretty chilly out and we didn't get to do much else. All in all, our stay was good but the heated pool didn't seem to be heated at all and we were unable to locate a hot tub on the premises. I had a good experience with Windfall and this condo in particular was nice and accommodating for our group. I would recommend staying at this condo to anyone but would also be clear about the community amenities so they know what they're getting before they pay a huge chunk of change to stay there. Also, the location of the condo isn't "convenient" if you're planning to pay cab fares to and from local entertainment spots. We paid around $20-$30 just to go two miles up the road. Just keep that in mind when planning your trip. It's not far from the action and the quiet of the beach is perfect but at night, plan to pay a good bit for a cab if you want to get out.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I rented this condo for a long weekend w/ a group of friends, & it was absolutely perfect for us. It's right on the beach, on the 2nd floor (with only a parking deck below you). It was everything that was presented in the ad. The rental company is extremely easy to deal with & was fantastic at accommodating any requests we had. I highly recommend this condo & company, and will rent from them again.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We came to Okaloosa Island for the first time this Spring Break. The weather was great and the condo was fantastic! It was better than we had hoped for. Great location right on the beach and the service of the rental company was awesome. We will be back soon!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

This unit was spacious, comfortable, and had a great view of the beach. We had one small problem in that the dishwasher did not work and they were unable to service it while we were there, so we washed dishes by hand. In fairness, the property manager has offered us an accomodation due to this snafu, so all is well. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone. We enjoyed our time at IBR.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
