This was our first trip to the Big Island and we feel like we “lucked out” with this condo in Waikoloa Beach Villas. The location was perfect for going to the beaches yet not far from Kona and their terrific farmer's market. We loved sleeping with the windows open and the smell of the flowers wafting in. The king size bed and pillows were divine. We were extremely impressed with the unit and would rent it again in a heartbeat. It was clean, spacious, quiet and we loved that the kitchen was well equipped including a coffee grinder, salad spinner and a rice cooker. We ate almost all of our meals “in” and spent those on the lanai visiting and looking out over the golf course. It was beautiful. In addition, this unit changed ownership while in the reservation phase. The transition went smoothly and the new owners were efficient and easy to work with. They called to “check on our stay” within days of us returning home and our deposit check had already been mailed. Thank you for a relaxing and comfortable stay. We loved it! Deanna and David Alaska
Owner response:Thank you for your nice comments. We are pleased you enjoyed our condo as much as we do. We want to consistently provide an outstanding experience for our renters enjoyment. Fortunately, we have the beautiful Hawaiian weather, activities and spirit of aloha to help us. We hope you will be able to return soon. Mahalo

The selfish part of me wants to keep this condo a hidden secret but the aloha spirit keeps me from doing so. This condo is everything that it advertises itself to be, and then some. Jean (the owner) has filled it with all the little (and not so little) touches that make it feel like a comfortable, upscale home, rather than a rental unit. We've been coming to the Big Island annually for the past 4 years and this has been our favorite rental. Additionally, Jean has been one of the most responsible owners we've dealt with. Everything went smoothly and our deposit was in our mailbox by the time we returned from our travels.

My husband & I have stayed all over the Hawaiian Islands over the last 10 years and this is our favorite condo. This was our second stay in this unit and it was just as fabulous as we remember from last time. Everything is so comfortable and clean! It is well maintained and has the most completely furnished kitchen of any condo I've rented. We mostly "eat in" so having good kitchen tools is essential. It even has a salad spinner, for pete's sake! Very handy for all those tasty salads made with local greens and generously topped with fabulous Maui Onion Dressing! The owner is great and easy to deal with. This unit is highly recommended.

For anyone looking for "just the right condo" on the Big Island; your search has ended. This villa is in a perfect location; top floor; quiet; looks out onto a beautiful, lush, golf course; situated between your choice of two lovely tropical pools; located across the street from Queens Marketplace, (close enough to easily walk there, but not close enough to hear any bothersome noise); Furnishings in the villa are beautiful, comfortable; and the kitchen has top of the line appliances, (toaster, blender, coffee pot, knives, etc.) Of all of the condos' my husband and I have rented over the years, we have never had a barbecue grill on the lanai. Having a top of the line Viking grill was certainly an added plus! Also, having a keyless front door entry, (coded) is very convenient. The grounds of the resort is beautiful beyond words. Very well maintained and manicured. This is the second time we have rented from Jean, and will certainly continue to do so. My husband and I have been lucky enough to find our little piece of Hawaiian heaven after visiting the island for over 16 years. Mahalo, Jean!

We would like to thank John and Jean for allowing us to stay at their beautiful condo during our time in Waikaloa. We were pleasantly surprised at the condo when we arrived (the pictures do not do it justice). From the high end furnishing to the beautiful view, we were truly pleased that we chose to stay here. It was very convenient to arrive to a fridge full and everyday condiments that you would need. We also discovered some well needed coffee, & tea which we very much appreciated considering we had a very early flight the day we checked in. We came to Waikaloa for our friends wedding, and we were there with a group of 21. It was a general consensus of the group that we were very well taken care of in our condo, from the furnishings and decor to the general day to day things such as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotions, hair dryers, iron, and ironing board, our group could not beleive the things that we were provided considering they did not have these ammenities in their condos. Once again we would like to thank Jean and John for allowing us to stay in their Hawaiian home away from home and we certainly hope that when we come back next year that it is available. Newlyweds Rob and Leanne
Owner response:Aloha, we enjoyed reading your review. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay in our condo. To be the best appointed condo among your group of 21 tells us that we are meeting our goals. We miss that fresh Kona coffee on the lanai every morning. We hope that you will be back again to enjoy the beautiful Big Island of Hawaii. Mahalo

I JUST WANT TO SAY MAHALO, PLENTY, TO JEAN DOYLE, FOR A GREAT STAY! WE COME TO THE ISLANDS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE WE ARE FROM HAWAII, BUT LIVE IN VEGAS, DUE TO MY HUSBANDS JOB. WE VISIT ALL THE ISLANDS REGULARLY TO SEE FAMILY AND FRIENDS, BUT THE BIG ISLAND IS OUR FAVORITE. WE HAVE ALWAYS STAYED IN KONA, BUT DECIDED TO STAY IN WAIKOLOA ON THIS TRIP. WE WERE CLOSE TO KONA, YET A WORLD AWAY. THE WHOLE AREA IS A RESORT, AND A VERY BEAUTIFUL ONE. EVERYTHING YOU NEED IS THERE. IF YOU CAN'T DECIDE TO STAY HERE OR KONA, TRUST ME, YOU WILL BE IN LUXURY FOR LESS MONEY HERE. WE WERE SO HAPPY WITH THE PROPERTY, WE CAN'T WAIT TO GET BACK! IT IS QUIET, AND SO PEACEFUL. MY HUSBAND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE WORKOUT ROOM. TAKE IT FROM A FAMILY FROM HAWAII, WHO KNOWS HAWAII INSIDE AND OUT, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO THE MAINLAND! I REALLY WISH WE HAD BOOKED MORE TIME HERE AND LESS ON OAHU. NEXT TIME, WE WILL! MAHALO NUI LOA, THE COBB-ADAMS OHANA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Owner response:Aloha, we agree with everything that you have said. We have also been to all the Islands and fell in love with the Big Island. There is so much to see and so much to do, including nothing at all. Our stays have been as short as 3 days and as long as 6 weeks, but we were never in a rush to get back to the mainland. We also find the weather nicer, beaches more accessible and drier in Waikoloa. Book early when you are ready to be spoiled again, word is getting out about our condo. A number of our bookings are guests that have stayed with us in the past. Mahalo

Jean's condo is VERY well appointed and has everything you need. Coffee maker, toaster, internet, calphalon cookware, spices, microwave, fridge, stove, A/C, fans, shampoo, soap, laundry, etc. The lanai was wonderful. We ate our breakfast and coffee there every morning. The pictures definitely don't do the condo justice. It's super nice! The keyless entry code for the front door is genius! So convenient. The garage and entry gate is also a nice touch. The unit location is literally across the street from the Queen's Marketplace - Starbucks, a nice Grocery store (Island Gourmet), Bike works (bike shop), Local Motion (sandals, beach wear), Macaroni Grill and many other cool stores. One night there was a hawaiin dance demonstration going on. One block down on the same side of the street as the condo is the Kings Shop's - Macy's, Tiffany's, Merriman's Market Cafe (which is a must for lunch or dinner), Roy's, and other great stores. The beach is closeby (10 min walk), but we drove there and parked. The condo has a great view of the golf course. It is the top floor unit and very quiet. Overall the condo and our stay exceeded our expectations. We hope to stay there again in the near future. Thanks Jean! We're so glad we chose your condo.
Owner response:We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. It is hard to capture on film what needs to be experienced. We will try to either hire a professional, or take more photos of the unit again to try and capture the beauty. Yes, they have Hula dancing at Queen's shops weekly and the convenience of everything across the street is what attracted us to this location. We stock our unit so that guests who stay from 1 week to 3 months will have what they need to stay in comfort. We also managed to find a great property management team that spends the extra time to keep our property clean and beautiful. Mahalo for your comments and just let us know when you are ready to return. . Aloha

My family of 3 spent a wonderful week in this beautiful condo. It is spacious and uncluttered, in nearly new condition, with very comfortable and pretty furnishings. It is well situated in the Waikoloa Beach Villas complex, between the 2 pools, a 3 minute walk to the Queen's or King's Shops and a 10-15 minute walk to A'Bay. We saw many turtles swimming and sleeping at A' Bay and enjoyed morning walks and the snorkeling there. The beach towels, boogie boards, chairs and umbrellas came in handy when visiting the many nearby various beaches. The owners were so kind in helping our friends find a neraby condo to rent so that we were able to vacation together. And the condo manager answered our only call within two minutes. Overall, this was a wonderful experience- a great location on the Big Island, and a well-kept condominium, with caring owners. Thank you, Jean.
Owner response:Aloha Amy, I am glad you were able to make use of the water toys in the garage. They are there to be enjoyed and used by our guests. We find the best time to see the turtles is in the morning near the pier, where the fish pond meets with the ocean. The turtles like to come in and feed on the algae at the gate right at the end. We have also been very happy with our property managers, they clean well and keep the condo stocked with most of the items we believe people might need during their stay. Mahalo

This place was awesome! This place was definitely a home away from home. The pictures here don't do it justice. The unit is extremely clean and very generously stocked. Whatever you need it's there: beach towels, laundry detergent, spices, all cooking utensils, some condiments, top of the line appliances. The lanai is very peaceful with a good view of the Beach Course #3 (Par 4). The furniture is high quality and comfortable. The Beach Villas complex is impeccably well kept and provided some nice landscape backdrops for family pictures. The pools are slightly smaller than expected but very nice and my kids (6 & 4) enjoyed it. The Beach Villas location across the street from the "Queens Marketplace" was more than convenient. The Queens Market has a very well stocked small grocery store that we went to at least 15 times in 10 days. Beaches around the area were great, we didn't go to "A Bay" as much as other beaches were better and only 10 minutes away. Overall I would highly recommend this place as has a great location, competitive prices, kid firndly, and is very nice. Our only recommendation would be different shower heads as the water pressure in the unit was not all that good, but that is pretty small potatoes.
Owner response:Aloha, we love that our complex has 2 pools and spas. We have stayed and owned other condos that have only 1. We feel that with 2 pools you don't have to worry about finding a chair or having a place to sit. I have never seen both pools crowded, occasionally one will have more than the other, but never a shortage of space. We typically go to food land at Mauna Lani, but the Queen's marketplace does have a very well stocked store. I can't resist the Spam musubi there, one of my many Island indulgences. We feel our price is a bargain when compared to competing resorts. We have no fees for parking, internet, washer, dryer, tons of space, bbq, beach toys etc. Mahalo

Our family of four spent 10 fabulous nights over Thanksgiving week at VRBO #101170 and found it beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. Everything you could possibly need - amazingly well-stocked kitchen, tons of stuff for the beach (including beach towels to allow for both beach and pool excursions daily!), super comfy beds and sofa, computer station, laundry supplies, the list goes on. The location within the complex is ideal overlooking the "backyard" and 8th hole fairway - lanai is comfortable and breezy at all times of day. We spent a fair amount of time at the east pool area - kept our 6 and 9 year olds occupied for hours. Access to Queen's Market across the street is beyond convenient. The grounds throughout Wailkoa Resort provide great opportunities for walks to shopping, beach, dining. Oh, and a favorite little perk - the key-code lock on the door makes family coming and going so uncomplicated. Overall awesome - made our vacation easy and enjoyable - MAHALO NUI LOA!!

Hi Jean, Well, we are back at home and wishing we were still in Hawaii. I want to thank you again for allowing us to be guests in your lovely WB villa. We found it to be beautifully furnished, very nicely equipped and extremely comfortable. The towels were especially fabulous! As a matter of fact, I made note of the towel name/brand and plan to try to find some like them. We also REALLY liked the ceiling fan in the master bath – it certainly made it more comfortable. I just can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely keep your WBV on our list of future places to stay. Best Regards, Lisa R

The place is relatively new with granite in the kitchen, bath and outside built in BBQ area on the Lanai. It's on the top floor so no noise from above and nothing blocking the breeze. Waikaloa is about 35 minutes from Kona, 20 from Waimea and I think it was 90 minutes to Hilo so it was central to a lot of things. The kitchen has everything you need including a very nice knife set and a rice cooker that we didn't expect. I was working in Kona during this time and where Kona was clouded in or rained on, which it did a lot of the nights over 3 weeks in late June/ early July it was dry and sometimes really clear at the condo. Saw the Milky Way like a long cloud one night. That was stunning and something you don't see very often in the contiguous 48 states. The beach here is about 13 minutes by walking but it was pretty hot some days (95) so we drove to the parking lot since we had stuff to carry. The garage is a great thing to have. They have umbrellas, mats, boogies boards and swim noodles as well as a mid size cooler. the beach there is good for snorkeling and sitting in the sun in that you can find some shade under a palm when you need to. If you want waves and full on, very hot sun go 10 minutes north to Hapuna state beach. It's been rated one of the top 10 in the world. When it was real hot a few days it was hard for the AC to keep it under 80 but it is the top floor and with the windows opened and all the fans, that are in every room including the bathroom, it can work just fine. I was thinking I wanted to stay in Kona in the future to avoid the drive and the heat at times (from Seattle) but if I was paying for something here and it was cloudy/rained a lot I think I'd be disappointed and would end up back here with no qualms.

We had an amazing time staying at this condo at the end of April. The decor was beautiful and so comfortable. The complex is very quiet and calming. We and our four year old had a great time swimming at the pool and it was a nice walk down to A Bay through the resort's grounds. This was a great hub for our travels all over the Big Island and we were so sad to leave. We would recommend Jean's properties to anyone and everyone!

Our stay at Waikoloa Beach Villa was exceptional. K32 is a beautiful condo in perfect condition with top of the line furniture and decor. The BBQ on the lanai was wonderful. The two pools in WBV are really beautiful and inviting. Our kids had a fantastic time swimming and playing. The location is great, too. It is so close to the shops and restaurants, we walked everywhere. The beaches were a very short drive and were spectacular. Having access to the beach chairs and toys was nice. We had a wonderful time and simply cannot wait to return. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you Jean. This was our first experience with vrbo and it went so smoothly. We loved every minute of our trip, including the planning! Chris
