A fabulous, fabulous, fabulous house for a vacation in Kailua. The house is right on the beach and is fully stocked with everything you need for the beach from beach chairs and towels to boogie boards and buckets and shovels. The house is ideal for larger groups although we were only 2 adults and 2 preschoolers. Our children loved exploring the house, exploring the enclosed courtyard and the enclosed front yard facing the beach. We loved the ease of getting to the beach

This is my favorite place on earth and the perfect place for me to spend my first trip to Hawaii. The property description doesn't do justice to the beauty of the location and the home. Everything was high end, very clean and well maintained! The house is amazing inside and out and perfect for 9 adults-5 excellent bedrooms-5 1/2 bathrooms-Great Kitchen and dining room-Wonderful family rooms and patios for relaxing! So much space that we could share time together or be alone if we wanted. There were TVs in each bedroom and one in the family room but we hardley used them. We turned in to an oldies station on the sound system while preparing and eating our meals (and sang along...badly!). The beach was steps away and the house included all the chairs and beach toys-boogie boards, etc you will need. There were more people on the beach on the weekends but it was not crowded and we almost had it to ourselves during the week. We had so much to do that we never made it to the community pool or tennis courts so can;'t comment on those. The neighbors were great and provided some useful tourist information as did Karen, the caretaker. Karen was always available to answer questions or to give advice on the area shops and attractions. There's also a great book in the house that has lots of useful information. I have to say that we had a bit of trouble finding the street where the house is located. It looks like more of an alley and is not well marked. Just take the first "street" right next to the tennis courts and go to the end to find the house. It's worth it! Suggestion-buy food for a few days at a time to avoid throwing out what you don't use-we bought too much food at Costco in Honolulu but there's a Safeway that's much closer to the house. Don't miss Pearl Harbor; Paradise Cove luau; Univ of Hawaii stadium swap meet; intimate (~40 people) snorkling tour; swimming with the sharks; hiking tours to waterfalls; bus tours around Honolulu and the island; Hanauma bay; Turtle Cove and North shore surfing. You will need a car to travel to the various sites and the house has plenty of parking. Oahu is a great place to visit and this house is a great "home base" to use to see as much as you can for a once in a lifetime experience. I will definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative and I will insist that they take me along because I can't wait to come back!

Staying in this home made for the best vacation. It's located on the nicest beach where we walked each morning. The area is nice and quiet and nothing like busy Waikiki. The home was very spacious and we enjoyed cooking and relaxing in this beautiful home. There's no way to truly describe how great this place is. We hope to be back again one day sooner than later!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.
