We are less than 100 yards to the pristine white sands, warm glassy surf waves and glowing sunsets that make Santa Teresa such a magical place. If the surf is not for you, you can still enjoy long walks at low tide or enjoy your private pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens, or the screened comforts of A/C, wireless internet and satelite TV. Our gated 4 house complex offers a caretaker unit at the main entrance.
Casa Pelicano was built in early 2006 by a well known Costa Rican builder educated at the University of Nebraska, USA. The goal was to bring together casual Costa Rican style living with all of the comforts and safety standards common to North American construction. The results are quite unique in such a remote area as Santa Teresa.
This beautiful 1800 sq ft home has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, an ample kitchen and living room areas, covered parking, and a large comfortable terrace. The house is furnished with typical handmade Costa Rican wicker furniture. The master bedroom offers a queen size bed, closet with a safe and a private bathroom. The second bedroom has a bunk bed, ample closet space and a bathroom next door. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking; it has an 18 cubic foot refrigerator with ice maker, a 4 burner gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, coffeemaker, blender and all the necessary utensils. The living room is a very nice place to relax. You can read a book or watch TV in the oversized sofas.
The house has A/C and ceiling fans in the bedrooms and kitchen/living room areas. The terrace, overlooking the swimming pool, is the best spot in the house. It is surrounded by beautiful mature tropical gardens, on its own private ½ acre lot with colorful flowers, cactus, almond trees, palms and a grass lawn. There’s an outdoor shower for rinsing off the beach sand, and an outdoor gas grill as well.
Casa Pelicano is one of three rental houses on a four acre gated complex in a residential neighborhood 1.2 km from the town center and right in the middle of Santa Teresa beach. The uncrowded white sand beach and glassy surf waves are a 100 yards or quick 2 minute walk from the terrace. You’ll see beautiful sunsets right in front of the property, especially in the summer (nov.-may). The surf in this area of Costa Rica is amazing. The water temperature is 80+ degrees all year round. Low tide is the perfect time to walk on the beach or to jog, or simply take a grass matt to the beach and get a suntan. Santa Teresa is the perfect place to relax and get away from it all. Also, within less than a 10 minute drive you'll find several hotels, restaurants, shops, spas and supermarkets.
