La Bahia #3, "The Mermaid" Magical beach front Condo is on the second floor with walls of windows for amazing ocean views from every room. La Bahia is an eco-friendly building with only 8 units right on the middle of sandy Half Moon Bay, we recycle. Snorkel with sea turtles and keep an eye out for the mermaids, go diving in the morning and take yoga classes in the afternoon. I can highly recommend Budha Spa for a massage or facial. Walk to wonderful beach front restaurants or take a siesta in a hammock. Don't forget to stop at Turtle Bay Cafe and Bakery for the very best breakfast and brownies!

FREE wireless internet and satellite TV. Master Bedroom has KING BED and private bath. Second Master bedroom has two twin beds or they can be converted to A KING BED, also with private bath. All comfy beds have high thread count sheets. And of course there is the hammock on the private balcony!!!!
Akumal is about an hour south of busy Cancun. Akumal is ecologically protected and famous for its sea turtle nesting grounds. In fact, turtle nests can often be found in the sand just in front of La Bahia. Stop by the Akumal Farmers Market or the Pueblo and experience the local culture. There are also a couple small grocery stores in Akumal with a wide selection of both Mexican and American food. Or grocery shop at Walmart in Playa del Carmen, 20 miles away.
La Bahia # 3 has eclectic and colorful Mexican decor with a whimsical mermaid theme, recently remodeled with new floors and kitchen with stained concrete counter tops. WE love coffee and have a high quality coffee maker and coffee grinder. Also includes microwave, juicer, spices and high quality blender for those margaritas! All the comforts of home with 100+ eclectic book library, board games, beach toys, stereo with 100+ CD collection, IPOD player and Cable TV (with NFL Football channel) and DVD player. The DVD library is available in the office (free rentals). Both ceiling fans and air conditioning are available for your comfort. Daily maid service - no washing dishes! Laptop Safe in closet. Cell phone rental, crib and inflatable beds available at La Bahia office.

Why the Owner Chose Akumal
We chose the small beach village of Akumal because of its diversity and the TURTLES. Go diving in the morning, go to the Gym or take yoga classes in the afternoon. Have simple fish tacos at Lucy's or have a romantic dinner at several beach front restaurants in the area. CEA in Akumal is doing everything to protect the turtles, reefs and oceans making a big difference in this small coastal town. But most of all, we love the PEACE & QUIET in Akumal....it soothes the soul!

Right on the beach and the ocean's right there, too! Still miss the sound of the waves. A cute Mexican condo in the perfect spot on Half Moon Bay. Coffee on the balcony, naps on the living room couches, and the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in after many Mexican vacations. Condo was cleaned immaculately every day and kitchen had all the dishes, cups and appliances you'll need. Purified water is supplied. The La Bahia property was well-maintained and clean and beautiful with the green of the landscaping, the white, white sand and the turquoise ocean RIGHT THERE. Donna is an amazing host and was so much fun to correspond with prior to our visit. A really neat lady and her condo reflects her tropical, fun personality. THANK YOU, DONNA.

Donna, Just got back from a great vacation at your condo in Akumal. We snorkled most days, and saw lots of turtles and exotic fish. The view is fantastic, and accomodations were comfortable. The staff were very helpful and the local restaurant fare was delicious. We could have stayed another week.

The service and people were A++. We really enjoyed our stay at La Bahia, Akumal is beautiful, lots of great restaurants. The condo had everything we needed including TV/DVD's for those couple of rainy days. Snorkeling right out front was great. Thank you for sharing your condo with us.

Our second time staying at La Bahia # 3, we loved it, the colorful mexican decor and fully equipped kitchen. Our favorite place was the private balcony with fantastic views of the ocean. We will be back again next year.
