The photos make the house and location look great, but they don't do it justice. The owners are very helpful and friendly too. I just left and I already would love to go back.
Owner response:Also a great place for a company's working retreat.

Perfect setting any time of the year. Home was spacious, welcoming, clean, and simply delightful. Would highly recommend this property. Owner was quick to respond and readily answered all questions. The views are even more amazing than photos portray. Would return to this property without hesitation.

We stayed here for a week last year and loved the house and area. There are so many things to do, we had to come back again to see what we had missed the first trip! Though our visit was shortly after Hurricane Irene blew through Lord's Point, the property was in great condition and the owner kept us well informed of the issues regarding cleanup and repair.

Our family has been coming to Lord's Point for over 45 years. We usually rent near the beach where we had a short walk to the sand. We recently attended a family reunion and our family of 15, including a 3 month old baby, rented this exceptional house. Each son and wife had a bedroom and the six children, ages 5 to 10, stayed in the bedroom with four twin beds. We added an air mattress for the extra two and everyone had some privacy. The adults enjoyed the morning sun from the deck while sipping our coffee or tea. The children lived down on the rocks collecting shells, exploring and crabbing. They played soccer, tossed balls and turned cartwheels all over the lawn. Our entire family (68 of us) gathered here for a group photo. Some days we did not make it to the beach as the children were happy to play inside or explore the rocks at low tide. Although we had lots of family activities to attend daily, we relished our time at the house where we played games, talked, caught up on our reading, shared cooking and clean-up duties and passed the baby around! After seeing this house in the neighborhood whenever we visited, we will never forget the glorious week we spent in it in August!
Owner response:It is always nice to have local families staying at the house. Glade it was a relaxing stay We love our time there and hardly ever leave the property when we are there. snorkeling is fun at high tide. Thanks for you comments!

We spent a week here in October and thoroughly enjoyed every minute! The location is gorgeous, the neighbors are friendly, the weather cooperated and the house was everything described. The owner has provided everything you might need, down to condiments in the refrigerator! The house is very spacious and had plenty of room for group gatherings and also for individuals to have some "private" time. There are many activities and attractions in the area and all are very convenient to the house. We're hoping to come back next year and see some more!

We spent one week in this beautiful home. The views are breathtaking. The location is very convenient, being only minutes away from an A&P and the Mystic Seaport! The house itself is more than well-appointed and very comfortable. The owner even has a kayak available, which we used every day. I can't recommend this home highly enough. We hated to leave!!

When I walked onto this property, it was even better than what I had pictured. The view is amazing. The sunrise and sunsets were indescribable. I must have taken 100 pictures just of the sunset. You are just a 5 minute drive from downtown Mystic and maybe 2 minutes from the grocery store. The inside of the house was clean and comfortable. If you are a light sleeper, the lighthouses (I assume they were the lighthouses) will keep you up. The sound a horn every couple of seconds, even through the night, but there are plenty of fans inside the bedrooms to block the noise. I would absolutely rent this house again. It is also great for kids to explore the water and walk on the rocks. There is also a huge outdoor fireplace that is great for campfires. Definately highly recommended!

This house far exceeded anything I could have imagined. Had a group of 10 and the house was the perfect size. The owner was very informative and helpful and the neighbors are very friendly. Beautiful view in a gorgeous neighborhood. A&P Grocery store is a mile down route 1 which is very convenient if you need something. Mystic is right down the road which gives several choices for food / entertainment. House was spotless when we arrived and was very easy to clean after our stay. Couldn't recommend this house enough to anyone, my review title says it all.

So Much more than the listing description! Get to this place and your only problem is....how much time are you going to spend on forgeting about where you came from...It's truly a retreat from every day worries. The owners were more than accomadating...my only advise about being here....is to turn your phone off and enjoy the moment!

The pictures on the website cannot do justice to the setting and views offered at this house. Layout was perfect for large family gathering and house was everything the website/owner said it was. Great place with a stunning setting!

If you love the sea/water, you will love this house. The location is accurately described as 'spectacular'. We were here over Halloween and despite less than perfect weather we found the location to be as beautiful as we had hoped. There is plenty of room to spread out and fabulous views of the water from every room in the house. Mornings brought shades of pink and magenta across the water to the East and evenings provided brilliant red sunsets over the waters to the West. We just never tired of watching fishing boats, sailboats, and a wide varitey of waterfowl move across the picture windows along the front and side of the house. We would recommend this vacation rental and we hope to return again sometime in the future.

This had to be one of the finest properties/location in the Northeast. We stayed here with our 4 children and parents and every single one of us agreed this house was one of the best. The owner is thorough, compassionate, and helpful. We would come back as soon as possible!!

Gorgeous property. From coffee on the deck in the morning to cocktails on the dock at sunset...couldn't ask for better location. Nice accomodations with pretty much everything you need, plenty of room for a family get together. Great fun kayaking right from the property. Easy access to beach and shopping(Mystic,Watch Hill and Misquamacut). Fire pit on the rocks is a nice touch...campfire with s'mores by the water at night. We had an excellent week!!! We hope to be able to return someday.

We had a great time. The kids spent hours checking out the tidepools. Wonderful to sit on the deck and watch the sailboats go by. Yard is perfect for frisbee & football. Beautiful views and nice space.

A wonderful house in a perfect setting! We spent an idyllic week here at the end of April and 12 Skipper St became the unofficial 'headquarters' for our wedding party. A more perfect venue for the happy gatherings of friends and family would be hard to imagine. We and all our visitors fell in love with this wonderful holiday home and enjoyed absolutely everything about it -- the accommodation, the lay-out, the views, the surrounding space, the jetty, the rocks and sea, the birds, the bikes, the friendly neighbours, the visitng cat, even the skunk -- I could go on and on. Absolute heaven!!

Our family enjoyed a long Thanksgiving weekend at this beautiful home in its awesome setting. The amazing views of Fishers Island and the Sound include wildlife, boats, and (of course) colorful sunrises and sunsets. It's the perfect place for a reunion and we hope to return sometime soon.

The views were spectacular and the house very comfortable. We loved watching the resident gulls, cormorants, geese and ducks and the daily visits from the egrets and oystercatchers. Sunsets from the deck were wonderful! We hated to leave this lovely place!

Spend a weekend in May earlier this year at what has to be one of the best homes for rent in New England. The house is kept in immaculate condition and the views of Fisher Island and the Block Island Sound are incredible night and day. I plan on inquiring for a longer stay if available next year.

Our extended family spent a wonderful week at this location last October. We practically lived in the kitchen, which is large, beautiful, well-equipped, and offers a gorgeous view of the water. And when we wanted quiet time, the layout of this vacation home provided privacy for each family without sacrificing views. Mornings, we wrapped up in blankets and enjoyed coffee on the decks. Afternoons were spent fishing from the dock, and evening found us back on the deck, grilling, sharing our favorite wines, and enjoying the sunsets. We hated to leave.

The website description of this estate does not do it justice. We spent time there in August and look forward to returning next year. When we felt like relaxing there was no better place than ocean front deck off the kitchen. Morning coffee and evening gin & tonics were enjoyed most from this spot. It was easy getting things ready in the kitchen and still having a conversation with others outside on the deck. When we felt like a little activity, it was no further than the end of the dock. We brought kayaks and snorkel gear, we were happy to say the water was warm enough to swim in. The area is quiet and serene. We slept great, everything in the house worked well and was easy to find. Most of the time was spent outside enjoying everything the shore has to offer. Looking at the website now and writing these comments, I realize there is no way to capture the ocean aroma in the morning, or the dew on the rose bushes you see mostly along the coast, I think they are called Rosa Virginiana, some people make rose jam out of them?? There’s also no way to capture the sounds of the area or the pleasure we received from the swan couple that visited briefly in the mornings for toast. Many thanks to the family and VRBO for making this such an enjoyable vacation. The Flaim Family
