Spent a long weekend with grad school buddies. Owner was responsive and helpful, a big plus. Huge property, plenty of sleeping room, nice amenities like the hot tub and pool table. Not an isolated location, quite a few homes around. So if you are looking for a secluded hideaway, this is not quite it. But for a great place that could fit several families, and proximity to ski resorts and Denver, it would be hard to beat.

We stayed at this property over the Thanksgiving holiday and had a wonderful time. The place is HUGE and had everything we could have dreamed of needing during our stay. We traveled with a friend who is a gourmet chef and she had everything she needed and plenty of space to cook us a giant Thanksgiving meal. There are also two big dining room tables which were more than enough for our guests. It was quiet and a great retreat. Some of us did puzzles and relaxed during the day, some went skiing, and some went hiking every day. It was also close enough to the town so we could run down and grab items we forgot for dinner. We brought our dogs with us and they were very welcome there which made us feel comfortable. The dogs had a great time hiking with us and running up and down the mountain. It was easy to find and easy to access from I70. We had a few members of our party who had to drive back to Denver to work some days and the drive was just under an hour - completely doable. It was also only about a 20 minute drive to A-Basin. A perfect in-betweener. The owners of this property were wonderful and worked with us so we got their best rate. The place was super clean and prepared for us. This place is awesome! -Highly recommended.

What a wonderful location. The photos of the interior do not do it justice. The kitchen was so well stocked, and the spaciousness was remarkable. We cooked all our meals here and were amazed to find everything we needed at our fingertips. The furniture in the living room was incredibly comfortable and the view from the many windows was remarkable. We had a group of 14 including teens and the downstairs amenities were perfect for them. They enjoyed countless hours playing pool and in the hot tub. The owners were available instantly for any questions or concerns, and were truly interested in our stay. The town of Georgetown was so cute and we managed to shop till we dropped. I would recommend a trip up the Guanalla Pass to appreciate the beauty of the area. The teens went white water rafting and panning for gold and will forever have exciting and wonderful memories. We also brought our labrador and she loved the hikes. I would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you for making our stay everything I hoped it would be.

We are really happy that we decided to venture a little ways East of our regular rental areas in this location during our spring break ski trip. We had a group of 14 and everything went smooth. The lower level works great for the kids, while the adults can enjoy the privacy of the bedrooms on the main and upper levels. The kitchen was stocked very well. I enjoy cooking ... and most of the rentals are stripped bare when we get there. This had a very good supply of the non-perishables and caught me by suprise. I wish everyone would use, add/or replenish as they go. They could use a deep fat fryer, but that could be a liability/health issue. We did see a diference in the amount of bathrooms vs. bedrooms compared to earlier rentals, but it did not become a problem. The extra freezer and refrigerator in the arage was huge. If you enjoy the outdoors and like hiking, this is prime! I would say we saw mule deer cross in front of the house 3 times a day, we hiked up across the road and took pictures of at least 8 big horn sheep. In the past we have stayed at Silverthorne, Breckinridge, and Dillon. During the busy spring break season, we found that the grocery store at Evergreen was the best we have seen in the last 7 years. I would say it is better than what I have here at home at Salina, KS. I was really happy to see that the shelves were still fully stocked at 7:00 at night and everyone was very helpful! We are hoping to do this again this summer! Sorry!!! I am running out of time, but not out of good memories! Hope this helps. We had a blast and would hope you can take advantage of it too.

Your house was absolutely wonderful! It was a PERFECT location for our low-key wedding rehearsal, and our parents all thuroughly enjoyed their stay there! Everything was very clean, roomy and comfortable. It was pleanty large enough for everyone- they could enjoy their own spaces, or join together without having to climb on top of one another. We can't thank you enough! Also- a HUGE thank you for being available so quickly by phone when I dropped the key under the deck- what a life savior you were!

We had a fabulous time at the Saxxon Mountain retreat. We are a large family with four children and the space was perfect. We could easily have fitted another family. The kids loved spotting the deer and big horn sheep that frequently roamed just outside the house. We skied in the Loveland area that was just 15 mins on I70 so the location was perfect for us. We enjoyed several visits to Georgetown just a few minutes drive from the house. Best of all was relaxing in the hot tub after a day of skiing with a cold beer. The kitchen was very well equipped and we enjoyed most dinners at the retreat. We will definately be back. Jens, Ariella, Fortnum (8), Maia (6), Amber (3), Felicity (1)

We had a wonderful time in Georgetown and felt so at home in their beautiful home. A true Retreat it was with the mountains around us, the hot tub and pool table. We also saw the fox and deer everyday which was so exciting. We will be back next year for another reunion. Gary

Wow, was this place nice. My family could not believe how we could have gone skiing and stayed in such a nice home. It was beyond our wildest dreams to sit in that nice living room and watch the 3 huge mountain goats playing. Butch and Deb are the best hosts we have ever encountered. We will be back!
