  We are from Switzerland. This was our first visit to the Outer Banks. We loved this house, the long and white sanded beach and the beautiful sunsets. What a beautiful place to be! Uf Widerluege!

  Duckstruck was certainly a little piece of paradise! Our stay was more than we had hoped for! The views and sounds of the ocean were magnificent and relaxing. The house was just right for my family (6 year old, and 2 and a half year old twins). I would highly recommend this house to anyone and hope to stay again in the future! Rated as 5 Stars each for: Value; Location; Comfort; Cleanliness; and Service Recommended for: A romantic getaway

  Hurricane Irene is on the way, so we will have to leave this beautiful beach house and head home. Crabbing on the beach at night was a highlight, as was parasailing and biking to Duck Donuts!!! Thanks for sharing Duckstruck with us. It's a gem!

  We had a great time and the house was perfect! Some of us rented bikes and went for coffee most mornings and rode around Duck. We all loved the beach and the ocean temp. was great! Kayaking, eating out, shopping, jet skiing, parasailing, and the Jeep Tour also kept all of us occupied! Besides all of that activity the house was great for swooning in the afternoons. :) We will pass the word around Pittsburgh, PA about Duckstruck! (Go Steelers and Buccas!)

  Duckstruck is a spacious, clean, and well kept vacation home that provided us with all of the needed modern amenities including wifi and robust A/C (which was essential during the muggy 4th of July holiday). Our family was able to stroll to the seashore within 5 minutes, and we enjoyed eating dinner and breakfast on a large open wooden deck that afforded glimpses of both the ocean and the sound. We could easily walk or drive to downtown Duck, and we took advantage of several excellent restaurants in town (tip: go to the Blue Point, but reserve early). We had an extremely enjoyable stay at Duckstruck.

  We had a super-great time here in the Outer Banks! We kept busy throughout the week - dolphin tour, kayaking, wild horse tour, Comedy Club at night, lazy afternoons on the beach...our honeymoon here was perfect! The weather held up - mid-80s to low 90s - plenty of sunshine!! Tomorrow we leave to head back to Syracuse, NY...hope we can bring the great weather and awesome memories back with us! Thank you for the gift certificate - it was greatly appreciated.

  Having never been to the Outer Banks, I didn't know what to expect, but just loved the location...town of Duck was ideal and beach area was perfect. Residents were extremely helpful and friendly. Had an unexpected visit to the emergency room and all staff, as well as paramedics, were wonderful!! Want to come again and explore - may need more space as family grows.

  This was our families' first trip to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. All ten of us drove from Western Massachusetts to visit this beautiful area. We found the house perfect for us with everything we may need. Having a washer and dryer was perfect! Thank you for the gift certificate; that was an extremely thoughtful gift. We really enjoyed our stay having a perfect week of sun and fun. The vacation home was so great, like a home away from home!We spent four days at the beach, went to see the wild horses, the lighthouse, and went shopping. Also went to see the Wright Brothers Museum. We all had the greatest time. Thank you for sharing this wonderful vacation home with all of us. It was Super! We definitely will be coming back!!

  Thank you very much for sharing your house with us and thank you for the gift certificate. We will be leaving in the morning with heavy hearts but we already decided we will be back as soon as possible. We come from Central New Jersey and have never seen beaches this clean. We spent every morning at the beach with our three boys and adventured around in the afternoon. The cute little shops in Duck were one of our favorite spots for shopping. The best ice cream we discovered was Logan's Ice Cream Cottage. Our best experience was renting a jeep from 'jeep rentals' and going out driving on the beach and dunes in search of the wild horses and we found plenty.

  We had a wonderful time. The beach and the waves were superb and the three jet skis we took on a tour of Currituck Sound were the highlight of our vacation. We enjoyed ourselves!

  Wonderful week, sunshine everyday after heavy winds and fog Saturday and Sunday. Great house, everything anyone would want for an out-of-season vacation. Looking forward to next year and beyond. Same place, same time.

  What can we say? An enchanted place. Thank you so much for the use of this beautiful house and great area. Our daughter and son-in-law gave this trip to us. We had a fabulous time here at "Duckstruck". What a beautiful location. The waves were great for our two boys. Thank you also for the gift certificate to Red Sky...great place.   Wonderful house sooo relaxing. We enjoyed exploring the Outer Banks and eating all your good food. I loved the house, it was beautiful. The Outer Banks is wonderful and I'm so glad that we stayed in this house. I love the Outer Banks. One week not enough time to take it all in. I would like to come back and see what I missed this time. I even made it to the top of Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (every step).

  Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. This was our first Outer Banks trip and it was great. Favorite activity - kayaking to see the wild horses. Favorite restaurant - Awful Arthur's. Favorite alarm clock - that catbird on the deck railing - nice touch!

  This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and we couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations! Thank you for the wonderful gift certificate; food was terrific. We appreciated the well-stocked kitchen (dishes, glassware, and utensils) which made cooking so much easier! We used the beach cart every day to haul all of our umbrellas and chairs (and toys for the kid!) - great perk! We are already making plans to return next summer. Thank you for making it so enjoyable!

  Our family's first vacation on the Outer Banks, and in Duck at "Duckstruck" could not have been better! It was wonderful! Sunny and in the 80s all week. We had the entire family represented at your lovely home - Mom, Dad, three kids with their spouses, and the kids who were in heaven - along with all of us. Activities - too many to mention all, included ferry ride to Ocracoke Island - charming! Golf at Duck Ridge, entertainment at Fishbones, dinner at Ethridge's. The beach,waves, sun,were outstanding! Sunning, swimming, and walking during the day -long beach walks, following sand crabs, and viewing breathtaking sunsets at night! P.S. "Duckstruck" accommodated ten of us wonderfully! Big dining room table - we took our turns cooking dinner. We loved the big, sunny Deck! Thank you for the gift certificate...we bought wine and foccacia bread.

  Our week was great! Duckstruck is beautiful and fun for everyone. We all enjoyed dinner with the gift certificate. Thank you.   This year, to our dismay, Hurricane Gordon threatened as we arrived. From here the story has a happy ending: the weather was perfect! Gordon dissipated, sending its rain inland. So we enjoyed warm, mostly sunny days and excellent surf. Even the dolphins showed off for us. ("Tell them how many - HUNDREDS! - and day after day," Sheila adds.) As was true last year, we enjoyed the house and its location thoroughly. We appreciate that it has been well cared for and thoughtfully stocked (even has a coffee mill!) Finally, thanks for the gift certificate, a most thoughtful addition. We were "too lazy" to eat out, so we enjoyed some good wine "on the house." Thanks. Actually, "too lazy" translates into finding it so pleasant and comfortable here that we just "stayed home" having fun.

  This was our first visit to the Outer Banks and fortunately we were lucky enough to find a great place to stay (Duckstruck). It is a wonderful house. So wonderful, in fact, that there is talk of coming back in the future. The weather was sunny and hot until Wed. about 2 p.m. when a series of showers passed through the area. The VCRs really came in handy as we saw some good movies. Cannot overstate the great time we had sightseeing, at the beach, and hanging around this cool house. Thanks for your hospitality and gift certificate to the gourmet market. We used it for some wine which we sipped around the candlelight.

  This is our fourth year at "Duckstruck" and once again we had a wonderfully relaxing family vacation. We enjoyed a picture perfect week. Kayaking the sound was great fun as was our annual climb up Jockey's Ridge. The kids enjoyed bodysurfing in the ocean. Thanks again for the gift certificate. Once again - a great time was had by all. (Best house I've ever stayed in all our stays! Matt, age 12) P.S. We always enjoy receiving your Christmas card. It's a pleasant reminder of our good times here.
