This is a beautifully and lovingly furnished post and beam home, set amidst wildflowers in a sunny clearing in the woods. There is a three-sided wrap-around deck, where bird feeders welcome a variety of feathered visitors. The house has been recently updated and renovated, with an eye to beauty, convenience and comfort, balancing spaciousness and warmth.
Located less than five minutes Quechee Village, the home sits in the center of a four season vacation area. It boasts a great variety of outdoor activities, sports, cultural activities, antiquing and fine dining. Each of the activities is enhanced by the traditional New England setting.
Within the Quechee Lakes community, visitors to the house may take advantage of the two championship golf courses, club house, tennis, indoor and outdoor swimming, squash, health club, dining and planned activities for children and families. Additional fees may apply to some of these activities.
The house is fully equipped with an up-to date kitchen and laundry, all of the essentials for gourmet cooking and dining, beautiful linens and art work, and a large family room with darts and a regulation sized ping pong table.
The kitchen is open to the living room and dining room, and to the woods beyond. The living room has a bank of windows, and a sliding glass door to the deck, with beautiful views of the birds, wildflowers and trees. There is comfortable seating arranged to enjoy the view and the wood-burning stove. The dining room accommodates eight with its comfortable, tasteful furnishings.
There are two larger bedrooms on the first floor, each with a sliding glass door to the deck. One has a king-sized bed (which can be broken down into two twins) and the other has a queen sized bed and a private half-bath. The third bedroom has a high-riser that makes up into two twins. All have been furnished with creative decorative touches.
The family area, on the lower level, is the entertainment area (ping pong, darts, games, cable-dvd-vcr.) It is above ground, and opens on to the patio and wildflower garden. A large bedroom has two twin beds with room for additional sleeping, and a large full bath.
