Great condo, great beach, great vacation!

We were very happy with this condo! We loved the spaciousness and the large balcony was awesome! It was clean and comfortable, very easy to "move right in". We would definitely stay at #718 again! We weren't sure why the listing included "basketball court" and "tennis". We brought a basketball but there is no court! And the sauna was not working at all, so that was a disappointment. Other than that, we loved the beach...not too crowded! And the hot tubs and pools were perfect. DeSoto's is a fabulous restaurant for seafood! Lambert's was a riot for the kids. They don't allow you to share plates, so most of kids' food was wasted. :( All in all, a wonderful vacation spot, and we hope to come back soon!

Owner response:Gretchen, thanks for your review! Sorry for the sauna, will notify the HOA Management Co. right now. We pay a lot of money for Security and first class Maintenance, so next time visiting, notify me immediately and I will call the Mgt. Co. at once to repair the sauna, that just should not happen at our complex. It can be confusing on the web site about the Amenities vs Activities, the Amenities are located at the condo complex and the Activities such as Basketball, Tennis, Golf, Zoo, Horseback Riding, Deep Sea Fishing etc. are within our beach community... I eat at Lambert's often, and I always take more food home in my "doggie bag" than I eat...remember, they will gladly do this for you...thanks for your comments and please come back soon!

Ive stayed in many condo's and beach houses over the past 35yrs, by far this is the BEST place ive EVER stayed in. The views are breath taking and the balcony is the best on the beach! This was the best vacation and most relaxing time ive ever had! Im already trying to come back! The Harper sisters shall return!

We just checked in today and I write this review overlooking the beautiful white sands of Gulf Shores. The beach is clear and clean and the air smells of of nothing but suntan oil and salt air. My family and I vacation on the Gulf Coast annually and have stayed in many condos from Destin to Dauphin Isalnd. This condo is by far the most lovely and comfortable. The pcitures cannot possible show how wonderful it is. The balcony is huge. Marshall has been great to work with. We hope to stay here again next year. If you want to relax and enjoy the beach you will be overjoyed with this condo.

Another great winter...(our 2nd winter in LightHouse Condo #718). We enjoyed a Christmas in GulfShores with one of our children (son,daughter-in-law & 2 grandchildren)...next year, God willing, we will enjoy our Christmas with our two children and their familys...being a snowbird in GS we spend many hours inside, so we cook more. this year the cookware in Marshall's condo is the best I've ever used!! July 20, 2008 We just completed a week with our family and it was WONDERFUL! THE CONDO WAS SO COMFORTABLE AND BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for letting us enjoy your beach home. We had a great time. For future guests, our favorite spot to break bread was DeSoto's #1 & The Oyster House #2 & Lambert's (home of the throwed rolls) #3. Caught lots of fish with Aquastar out of Zekes Marina, 10hr. trip. A good tip would be if you go fishing, buy a $10 ticket for the Snapper Tournament, I didn't & caught a 26.25 lb. Red Snapper that would have been 4th place ($5,000.00). Also,I would have ended up winning $1,000.00 at the end of the year. You never know what you will bring in. Water was dirty on the surf but it felt great. We have been staying at the LightHouse for years, even back when it was the old LightHouse Motel, & it has always been a great vacation. Wow, what an awesome condo. It's everything you advertised & much, much more! The wrap around balcony and the views were spectacular. The decor is beautiful. Everything is very FAMILY friendly. We have been to Gulf Shores about 6 times since 1983. This is the best condo we have ever stayed in! Thank you for rescuing my grandson's toy truck from the owner's closet. This is a wonderful condo unit. It was just us, so it was more space than we really needed, but once we saw it online, we knew this was the one. And, boy, were we right! The views are breathtaking; but, more than that, the owners are the best! What a peaceful and fun family/friend vacation we all had. The weather was amazing all seven days and the view from the condo was worth the eleven hour drive. We had a great week in the beautiful condo. Dolphins were right off shore and what must be one of the best views on the entire Gulf! What an amazing condo. It had everything we needed. The view from the balcony is awesome. We had been looking forward to some much needed relaxation and this was the perfect place...Blue skies, white sandy beach, pools, hot tubs and of course a condo that was comfortable and beautiful! This was our first vacation as a family of six! We adopted two children in October & they have never seen the beach. We honeymooned here in 1992 and brought our older two kids 3 years ago. Not only was this a precious time together, but this is THE most beautiful place we have ever stayed in. The condo is clean, roomy, comfortable and the views are spectacular. We saw Dolphins, jumping fish, schools of Sting Rays and spectacular sunsets off this balcony. We thank you for creating a luxurious, "family friendly" home in such beauty.
