I live in the Raleigh,NC area and work in the pharmaceutical industry. I am 47 years old with a 10 year old son who loves the beach. When my beach cottage is not rented, my son and I enjoy swimming in the pool and ocean. Some of my best times as a child were at Kure Beach. Loved the Unit and Kure Beach. We relaxed by the pool and enjoyed the beach. Saw Dolphins from the deck serveral mornings while drinking coffee and relaxing. A true vacation. Cottage was clean and accomodating. Very well taken care of. We will return again to this area and would recommend the cottage to others. Short walk to beach and to the Kure Beach pier. We loved sitting in the Adirondack rockers and eating together on the deck. Great location in Kure Beach. Short drive into Carolina Beach, Fort Fisher and the aquarium. Great family vacation.

Everything was great! Somewhere between good and excellent! I spoke to the property owner before our visit and he was very friendly and helpful, he even went out of his way to provide extra details about the Kure Beach area. Very short walk to the beach (where we saw multiple dolphins just yards offshore). In the evenings you can hear the beach from either of the two decks, during the day there is some traffic on the street in front of the house since it's on the main drag, but it's not a problem nor too noisy. Our dog may have enjoyed the visit/trip even more than we did, he loved sitting on the decks (note that dogs are NOT allowed on the beach during the summer months). We had a great time visiting nearby areas (e.g., Southport, Wilmington, Fort Fisher, Carolina Beach, and Carolina Beach State Park) and eating A LOT of fresh seafood. A restaurant called "Fish Bites" is about a 10 minute drive. We enjoyed it so much we went twice for dinner. We would definitely recommend the property and hope you have as nice of a time there as we did!

Great location. Good views of ocean. Nice town too. Problems were: 1) Pool was low on water; 2) Ice maker didn't work well. Excellent set up -liked the living area on middle floor. Really had a great time and would definitely recommend to anyone else. Hope we can come back again. Very well decorated and furnished. Should include instructions for HE washer since not everyone knows to use the special detergent.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
