This is an extremely unique rental. As a local realtor recently observed,she was unaware of any other oceanview properties on the island that have their own Private Pool for their renters, and yet the amazing part is, it is nearly 1/2 the cost of an oceanfront rental.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY
Your relaxing oceanview home vacation begins on the first floor of this lovely Tri-Level townhome,by dipping into the beautiful,private, patio pool with Spa features, designed to soak your worries away. The spacious patio and modern outdoor furniture leaves plenty of room to take in the beautiful Carolina Blue Skies and enjoy the gorgeous sun-filled days that North Carolina is famous for! The oceanview is gorgeous from this homes 2 large decks and YOU ARE JUST STEPS AWAY FROM THE OCEAN or you can choose to just sit at YOUR OWN PRIVATE POOL. You do not share this pool with anyone but those friends and family that you brought with you.
Enjoy grilling on the large stainless steel grill while enjoying a cool drink, and watching the children play in the safe, enclosed pool area. You can just sit back and relax. The children will be content, as the entertainment area sits just off the pool area with plenty of fun in store for them. We have arranged for all their needs by providing Music, DVD Player, PlayStation II, Foosball Table, and TV to keep them entertained.A ping-pong table will keep them busy for hours. This recreation area also has a single bed and a Double Futon for naps or just watching TV.
The second level of this spacious duplex offers a beautifully-decorated living area with a sofa and loveseat with four built-in recliners and Tempurpedic material. We offer the extended cable lineup so you have plenty of choices for television viewing for all age from 2-102 years old. Lean back and catch a quick nap, enjoy an old movie, read a book, or just take time to catch up with family and friends. There is plenty of sitting room for everyone!
The kitchen has all the modern conveniences, with stainless appliances, granite countertops, and even a smoothie maker to fix the kids a nutritious treat. The bedroom on this level has a spacious jacuzzi tub to get away for some quiet time, and soak those aching muscles.
Step out onto the patio deck and a whole new world awaits as you take in an awesome view of the ocean. Take time to sit and play a card game at the comfortable wicker table or rock in the four adirondack rockers while reading the Island newspaper.
The third level of this stunning home offers an oasis away from all the "hustle and bustle" of life. Each spacious bedroom has its own TV and VCR for your enjoyment. Kure Beach reminds us of the small town setting we grew up,where neighbors greet each other with a hearty handshake smile,and where you can feel comfortable taking a leisurely late night stroll. Two of my closest friends purchased property here,and we knew this was going to be the place we could all get together on those special weekends.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
We use this home as a way of entertaining family and friends. The "Island Life" is a perfect way of getting away from the hectic pace that we live on a daily basis,and allows us to wind down with our family in the tranquil setting of the beach and the ocean. We often visit the many restaurants,sit by the pool sipping drinks and watching the kids play,take walks, play ping pong tournaments,Barbeque,or just visit with our college aged children and their friends that can't wait to come to the "Baldys place." It has become the place where we can all take time to just do the things we otherwise find it hard to do in our otherwise very active lives.
A short 2 mi. drive to NC Ft. Fisher Acquarium to delight children and adults alike. Also Civil war museum and battleground and a 20 min. ferry ride to visit Southport for more walking and shopping.
You will be vacationing in upscale Kure Beach, known for its quiet family vacations and no traffic,yet you are just mins. from lots of shopping and great restaurants,carnival rides,weekly fireworks, and family movies over the lake in the summer. All you could want in a family vacation....

My wife Barbara and I purchased this home in 2005,and it is a love affair that has grown by the year. Kure Beach is more than we ever imagined it could be for our family. This is the place we go to calm our lives down,and spend time with our college age family,and their friends. Barbara and I both come from large families, (she has 6 brothers and sisters and I have 5 brothers and 6 sisters). The families are always welcome,and we cherish the times we've all spent together down here,walking the dogs,taking bike rides,barbequing with the kids friends,playing ping-pong, or just sitting on the front porch drinking coffee in the morning,betting on who will see the first Dolfin pod swimming offshore. we're loving it big-time,and looking forward to many more years with,friends,family,and hopefully grandchildren we can spoil.

Rented this house for a weekend at the beach. We had 9 adults in the house and we had plenty of room! I spoke to the owner a few times before we rented and he was so friendly and helpful! The house was very clean on arrival and furnishings were great with everyone sleeping comfortably in their bed. Overall a great place that I would recommend to anyone! Hopefully we'll be able to come back next summer!

We were here as a gift from my husband for my 70th birthday! What a treat! This is a perfect spot for a great time with family. My three sons were here with their families for part of the week, and this house suit all 11 of us comfortably! We could see the ocean from the second and third floor decks. The house is decorated beautifully, and the kitchen/family room is open so that we could all visit and be together. To get to the beach, it was a short walk down the road to a public access. When they got tired of the beach, the grandkids loved the pool in back of the house. For my birthday dinner, we went to the Dock House and the food was delicious and the service excellent! It was just a perfect week! Nobody wanted to go home.....

I loved the house, the place and the weather. I wasn't sure if I would like this part of the East coast, but I ended up loving it. The house was perfect - very clean and well-maintained. I was concerned because the house was not on the beach, but it was actually better - it's right across the street, and I never felt like we were prevented from sauntering on over. The views from the house were beautiful. We rode bikes provided by the owner to the ferry and took a morning trip to Southport - it was so easy and so fun - had a coffee and egg sandwich and shopped at the Christmas store. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and want my family to join me there.

My family recently returned from a week at this rental and can't wait to go back. The beach is just a short distance away and quality restaurants, such as Jack Mackerals and The Deck House, are well worth checking out! Whether you take the ferry to Southport for shopping, or a short walk to the pier to enjoy the ocean, the property has everything needed to make a beach vacation a dream come true. You won't be disappointed!

I just returned from staying with 5 other family members from April 10 - 17, 2010 in this beautiful, awesome property. It is in tip top condition with top of the line amenities. Very clean and well-maintained. I'd highly recommend renting this unit to everyone....one couple or up to 11 are easily accommodated. There is more than enough room for anyone wishing quiet time alone reading or whatever....we were never in each others way. Standing on one of the decks overlooking the ocean was something I'll never forget. Two in our group took a bike ride (bikes provided by the owner) to the Southport Ferry. It's so easy to walk across the street and be at the ocean in less than a minute. The owners were very accommodating and answered all questions prior to our arrival. There were no surprises and we will definitely rent this unit again!

Everything about this vacation spot is perfect! Very soothing and relaxing just steps away from the beach. You can relax at the house, swim in the pool, and are close to area attractions if you are looking for more to do. The house is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need. Cannot recommend this enough! Perfect for both families and for couples!

GREAT place to get away for the weekend. I came down here last year and stayed with a few of my staff members. We had a meeting here, which was very nice to get away from the "every day working atmosphere" and escape down to the beach!!! DEFINATELY will be back!!!
