Peaceful
Old Millers Cottage was very cosy and quaint. All that was needed was there and it was in a lovely position close to river Dove and we could walk from the doorstop. It was very peaceful and quiet. Weather was not too bad a bit more sunshine would have been welcome!

Sweet little cottage
The cottage was comfortable and updated to a high standard, and Milldale was a pretty little hamlet with good walking nearby. Only issue was a musty smell because there's some damp in one corner. It's an old cottage, built into the hillside, so I think the owners have done their best to mitigate this. Also would suggest the addition of a small, wall-mounted microwave. But it was a lovely stay.

Magical location
I loved our stay at Old Millers Cottage. Great space, perfect for our 3 day stay. Went hiking and fly fishing right out the front door. An unforgettable memory. Thank you Ant for a wonderful visit. We will return. Mitch Barrett

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful area
Lovely place to stay, right next to some stunning walks, and some that are a short drive away. Would recommend taking slippers as the floor is tile downstairs and gets cold and slightly damp in evenings. The cottage itself is lovely and cosy when warmed up, extra blankets were also provided making it a bit cosier. We visited Thor's Cave which was a stunning walk with views at the top, and there's a little tearoom nearby. That's only a 10 minute drive away from the cottage! If you have the windows open over night you can hear the stream which is quite relaxing, but you do get the sound of people in the morning as it's the central spot for the walking route (it's not to bad, just something to bear in mind if you like windows open). Overall lovely stay.
