Nestled between the old and new parts of the capital, the German Colony is the most charming area in Jerusalem. Built by the German Templars in the 1870's, the area is known for its unique architecture and cafe culture. The colony is close to the major tourist sites (walking distance to the old city) and the host of several local attractions.

Of all the neighborhoods in Jerusalem, we feel most comfortable in the German Colony. While hosting a range of restaurants with international cuisine, the German Colony has a distinct architectural style and local culture.

Firstly unlike most hilly areas in Jerusalem, the German Colony is flat! Our property is off Emek Refayim, the cafe capital of Jerusalem, we love starting our day with a hot cup of coffee and a fresh croissant.

David is an native Israeli from Haifa, Leeora from Australia. A team and now a family, we are still charmed by this ancient city.
