Charm, amenities and views abound in this four-star apartment that is a two minute walk to the Spanish Steps.
We welcome your inquiries and questions and will respond within one day. The calendar is kept up to date.
We have to use superlatives when it comes to the lovely Angelina apartment in the heart of Rome. The roof top terrace and balcony allow you to enjoy the timeless views of the Eternal City. Everything has been considered for lifetime memories of Rome.
Location
The Spanish Steps location is so popular because it is very central. The graceful steps and the piazza are beautiful and usually bustling with visitors. From this location many of the important sites of Rome are within a 15 minute walking radius. Fine shops and restaurants abound in this district. Transportation is also easy from this home base. This street is closed to all but essential traffic; add the top floor location and street noise is not an issue.
Building
A clean, marble-lined lobby leads right to a modern elevator that takes you to the top floor. There are no steps to get to the elevator or to the apartment. There is, however, a spiral staircase leading to the rooftop terrace.
Interior Description
Across the large living and dining area of the apartment are three French doors that open onto a full balcony with views of rooftops and the church across the street and you can look down into the street, too.
If you need to keep connected, you will find a landline telephone as well as high speed internet for your computer. The living room is big enough for entertaining. It offers a sofa, a love seat and three arm chairs. The colors are quiet and rich. An oriental carpet echoes the reds in a large antique tapestry framed on the wall. Antique end tables, desk and chairs are upstaged by an impressive art deco cabinet. There are many fine pieces of art to appreciate. A corner cabinet hides a television set that has Satellite reception for English-language news. It also has a DVD player and a small selection of first-run movies (in Italian, but just put on English sub-titles).
The dining table seats four and is just outside the small but complete kitchen. In the kitchen modern cabinetry holds everything you need for cooking and serving. There is a large refrigerator/freezer, drip and Italian coffee makers, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove top and oven.
The balcony has a table and a series of terra cotta planters all along the outside of the rail. You can enjoy a view of the facade of S. Andrea delle Frate church across the street, the little piazza below with a newsstand and the parade of people traveling to and from Piazza di Spagna.
From the entryway, a narrow, spiral stair case rises sixteen steps to the private rooftop terrace. The terrace has a rush mat cover to reduce the heat of the sun and terra cotta pots with green and flowering plants depending on the season. It is open on three sides, the fourth being painted with a fresco of the Roman skyline. Why focus on the fresco, when the real thing is just beyond? You can see St Peter's dome, the Pantheon, the presidential palace, and the top of the spires on nearby Trinita di Monti church at the top of the Spanish Steps and more. A cafe table and four chairs are enough for all guests. Also, there is a stone sink and a small refrigerator. Keep your cocktail items where you need them!
The bedroom is well-sized, holding a queen sized bed, night stands, a television set and two closets. The en-suite bathroom is very nicely done offering a shower, toilet, bidet and a sink in marble. Next to the bathroom is a small room with more wonderful views. It houses the washing machine hidden inside a cabinet. It also contains a comfortable chair for a quiet place to read.
The sleeping loft is accessed by a pretty staircase that rises from the living room. There is just room for a French twin bed and cabinet on top of which is another television set. There is room to stand up and walk from one end of the bed to the other (i.e. the loft is larger than the bed itself). Hanging space is in a closet in the entry.
This apartment is available for a gracious appreciation of the Roman lifestyle, for gazing on timeless views and relaxing in elegance for memories of a lifetime.
Guests receive by email complimentary and helpful documents: 1. FAQ About Renting in Italy, 2. Helpful Information About Rome, and, 3. for children, a copy of the Italy Discovery Journal.

This apartment is offered by Italy Perfect. We are a family business with a mission! We want you to love visiting Italy as much as we do. We are sisters Lisa and Pat Byrne who lived in Italy in our youth and now travel there frequently for business and pleasure.
We offer only short term rentals that we carefully hand pick for their locations, furnishings, amenities, and that we can personally recommend and would want to stay in ourselves. We travel frequently to inspect, and usually stay in, the rentals we represent. We select vacation rentals that offer charm, good locations, cleanliness, quality furnishings and hospitable welcomes. We count the number of steps up to the property, check the size of the refrigerator, shower, listen for noise, inventory the kitchen equipment and even inspect the mattresses. This is our most important point of differentiation which sets us apart from many other vacation rental firms. Even with careful advance research and personal connections, we still choose to not represent more than 50% of the properties we visit. And, once we agree to represent a property we regularly re-inspect it to ensure our standards are being met.

Second stay at this apartment and fourth with Italy Perfect. Everything was fine, as always. The apartment has been freshly painted. Ate so much (as usual) could not possibly do much justice to the enormous chocolate covered creme-filled panettone that was left for me. Appreciated the various beverages in the fridge. Used the washer again-- very easy to use. The bedroom is very quiet. AArea is convenient, plenty of places to eat, a supermarket two minutes away. Plenty of everything-- except time

We had used Paris Perfect in the past and were extremely pleased with our experience. We were surprised to learn that the owners of Paris Perfect and Italy Perfect are sisters. We stayed in the Angelina, which was in a fabulous location a few blocks from the Spanish Steps. It is a great area in itself and is readily accessible to most parts of the city. If you haven't stayed in luxury apartments in the past, you should carefully consider this option. There is so much more room to relax than a typical hotel and it is so nice to have breakfast in the apartment than going to a hotel dining room. The local foods and wines are great for consuming at the apartment prior to going to dinner. The price is comparable to a nice hotel. I would definitely recommend you staying at one of the wonderful apartments represented or owned by Italy Perfect.

Angelina Jul 2011 The apartment was absolutely perfect for our party of three, in so many ways. Best of all was the location and its proximity to the Spanish Steps which made roaming around and then finding your way home a very easy task. Comfortably decorated, with a fabulous rooftop deck as well as lovely terrace, it was a hundred times better than any hotel. Instructions on how to play a DVD didn't work, and a note to American travelers -- our DVDs don't usually work in foreign DVD players so bring a portable if you have younger children. We ate tremendously well everywhere, and people were incredibly gracious. If you are shopping at the grocery store around the corner be sure to bring your own grocery bags or they charge you. Overall, would most definitely recommend it very highly.

My husband and I loved the Angelina apt! It made us feel part of the city during our stay. Elvi was wonderful and greeted us with a smile! She made us a cup of coffee and showed us around the block, taking our photo at the Spanish Steps! She had stocked the refrigerator with water bottles, sodas, milk, juice and some snacks and fruit! She was wonderful to have and explained how everything worked! We took advantage of the terrace top for lunch and at night to view the city! The balcony was wonderful to have lunch or just sit and enjoy our surroundings! The apt. was spotless and was everything the description and pictures showed. It is truly in a central location for the S. Steps, Trevi Fountain, restaurants and also the market, sandwich and pizza shops, taxi stand, bancomat. We loved Rome and wish we could have stayed longer. Pat was wonderful to work with and gave us helpful information in our packet. I would not hesitate to rent this apt. again!
Owner response:Thank you Robin!

My husband and I loved the 'Angelina" it was everything the pictures and video promised. I can not stress enough...location, location, location. We were a few blocks from the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain, and steps away from cafes, restuarants, shops, and a local market. We could have gone no more than a few blocks in any direction and been satisfied. The apartment was literally turn-key, too. It was stocked with everything we needed including umbrella's, AC adapters, extra linens and towels, coffee filters, etc, etc. Elvi greeted us when we arrived, and though we were completely jet-lagged you couldn't help but be touched by her kindness. She went to the market before our arrival and stocked our fridge with milk, fruit and bottled water. And our cupboard with a few local treats. What a sweetheart, Thank you Elvi. After a day of sightseeing my husband and I looked forward to heading back to the apartment, first we stopped at our local market to pick up a bottle of wine and whatever snacks looked good at the time, we spent hours relaxing on the balcony and roof top terrace. Thank you to Pat and the Italy Perfect team. To those of you considering the Angelina...book it with with confidence, it is a jewel!

"Cozy Pied a Terre in Heart of Rome" We spent a week between Christmas and New Year at angelina. The email communication prior to arrival was great. Our greeter was there just when she said she would be, and the apartment was impeccable; also stocked with many unexpected treats. There is a lovely view from the living room and the roof terrace. Beds very comfortable. Living room couches a bit on the small side (love seats) but fine. Kitchen small by american standards but well equipped, certainly fine for making simple meals. Great supermarket just a few doors away. The location was fantastic -- two blocks from Trevi Fountain in one direction and Spanish Steps in the other. Easy to get taxis in the next piazza, also a metro line right there. Despite the very central location the apartment was amazingly quiet; even on New Years Eve we heard almost no street noise. The elevator mechanism is right outside the unit and we did hear that at times, but this was not a major issue. All in all we were very pleased with the apartment and the service. The place is very elegant and really gives you the experience of living in the heart of Rome.

My second stay at a Perfect Italy property. Seamless arrival. Elvi, the greeter, was very friendly and helpful. The company really provides you with all the information you need. The apartment is quiet and very comfortable. The view over the rooftops of Rome is enjoyable by day and by night. from the upper terrrace, you can pick out the top of the Quirinale, the clock at Montecitorio (I think) St. Peter's in the distance, Trinita dei Monti and more. Despite being on a narrow street with lots of foot traffic, you really are not disturbed at night at all. The kitchen is small, but even a hapless cook like me managed to cook dinner at home twice-- a welcome thing after a day trip to Rome to see the Bronzino exhibition (you still have time to see it!). The Despar right around the corner has whatever you need and of course there are plenty of other small alimentari around to buy more. More ambitious cooking is certainly feasible. Internet connection was fine. There is a taxi stand about 5 minutes walk at San Silvestro, plus buses. The subway is about 10 minutes (you do not need it that much anyway). There are more buses on Via Tritone, around the corner. Rome is a walking city anyway, and you really are ideally located. Yes, it is uphill to the Borghese, but you need to burn off all that pasta and pizza and it is downhill on the way back! The washing machine worked perfectly. You do not need to lug your copy of Food Wine Rome-- there is one on top of the washing machine, along with some other guidebooks. I am certain I will use this company again for extended stays in Rome or elsewhere in Italy. They have put a great deal of effort into anticipating the needs of travelers.
