Charm, amenities and views abound in this four-star apartment that is a two minute walk to the Spanish Steps.
We welcome your inquiries and questions and will respond within one day. The calendar is kept up to date.
We have to use superlatives when it comes to the lovely Angelina apartment in the heart of Rome. The roof top terrace and balcony allow you to enjoy the timeless views of the Eternal City. Everything has been considered for lifetime memories of Rome.
The Spanish Steps location is so popular because it is very central. The graceful steps and the piazza are beautiful and usually bustling with visitors. From this location many of the important sites of Rome are within a 15 minute walking radius. Fine shops and restaurants abound in this district. Transportation is also easy from this home base. This street is closed to all but essential traffic; add the top floor location and street noise is not an issue.
A clean, marble-lined lobby leads right to a modern elevator that takes you to the top floor. There are no steps to get to the elevator or to the apartment. There is, however, a spiral staircase leading to the rooftop terrace.
Across the large living and dining area of the apartment are three French doors that open onto a full balcony with views of rooftops and the church across the street and you can look down into the street, too.
If you need to keep connected, you will find a landline telephone as well as high speed internet for your computer. The living room is big enough for entertaining. It offers a sofa, a love seat and three arm chairs. The colors are quiet and rich. An oriental carpet echoes the reds in a large antique tapestry framed on the wall. Antique end tables, desk and chairs are upstaged by an impressive art deco cabinet. There are many fine pieces of art to appreciate. A corner cabinet hides a television set that has Satellite reception for English-language news. It also has a DVD player and a small selection of first-run movies (in Italian, but just put on English sub-titles).
The dining table seats four and is just outside the small but complete kitchen. In the kitchen modern cabinetry holds everything you need for cooking and serving. There is a large refrigerator/freezer, drip and Italian coffee makers, microwave, dishwasher, gas stove top and oven.
The balcony has a table and a series of terra cotta planters all along the outside of the rail. You can enjoy a view of the facade of S. Andrea delle Frate church across the street, the little piazza below with a newsstand and the parade of people traveling to and from Piazza di Spagna.
From the entryway, a narrow, spiral stair case rises sixteen steps to the private rooftop terrace. The terrace has a rush mat cover to reduce the heat of the sun and terra cotta pots with green and flowering plants depending on the season. It is open on three sides, the fourth being painted with a fresco of the Roman skyline. Why focus on the fresco, when the real thing is just beyond? You can see St Peter's dome, the Pantheon, the presidential palace, and the top of the spires on nearby Trinita di Monti church at the top of the Spanish Steps and more. A cafe table and four chairs are enough for all guests. Also, there is a stone sink and a small refrigerator. Keep your cocktail items where you need them!
The bedroom is well-sized, holding a queen sized bed, night stands, a television set and two closets. The en-suite bathroom is very nicely done offering a shower, toilet, bidet and a sink in marble. Next to the bathroom is a small room with more wonderful views. It houses the washing machine hidden inside a cabinet. It also contains a comfortable chair for a quiet place to read.
The sleeping loft is accessed by a pretty staircase that rises from the living room. There is just room for a French twin bed and cabinet on top of which is another television set. There is room to stand up and walk from one end of the bed to the other (i.e. the loft is larger than the bed itself). Hanging space is in a closet in the entry.
This apartment is available for a gracious appreciation of the Roman lifestyle, for gazing on timeless views and relaxing in elegance for memories of a lifetime.

Compact apartment, great location
Worked perfectly for a couple with one child. Roof top views and sunshine. Ideally located between the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Friendly and helpful greeting on arrival. Small, well-stocked supermarket two minute walk away. Happy to recommend it.

Roman HolidayGuest comment entered by owner
My family spent Thanksgiving 2012 in Rome. One of the best decisions we made for our trip was to stay at the Angelina. This apartment was perfect for our family of three (2 adults and 1 fifteen year old). The apartment was elegantly furnished and well stocked with all of the bathroom and kitchen supplies we needed for our week stay. The rooftop terrance was wonderful and we used it almost every evening for cocktails or a light dinner. We were met by a wonderful hostess who did an excellent job showing how the appliances worked and describing the surrounding shops. There is a grocery store very near by (turn left out the front door, take first left on the next corner, walk about 1 and half blocks). It had every thing we needed for snacks, breakfast, etc. We bought our "Italian" Thanksgiving meal there. You should know that the grocery store only takes cash, no credit cards. [the nearby Despar market will take credit cards] The location was perfect and due to the nice weather we walked amost everywhere. We were so grateful that we did not book a hotel room for our stay. The apartment really enhanced our italian experience. We have already recommended this site to several of our friends and would use it again.

Italy Perfect were brilliant to deal with - Pat Byrne replied to emails very quickly which gave us confidence when organising from the other side of the globe. Met by Elvie as pre arranged and she was just gorgeous - had arranged some basics, milk, juice, bottled water, coffee, biscuits, etc before we arrived. Made us coffee and showed us everything we needed to know in the apartment and then where local supermarket, Pizzaria, Gelato and Cafe's were (all the things you want when holidaying in Italy) As for the apartment - talk about central location, 5 min Spanish Steps or Trevi Fountain, 15 min to Colosseum or St Peters. The apartment is as outlined on website, it is s very comfortable, main bedroom and a loft with a double bed, found beds to be very comfortable. Nice size living area and a lovely bathroom. There are 2 x balconies with the top one having lovely views to St Peters. We stayed in 3 apartments in three cities in 3 weeks and this was by far the best. I cannot speak highly enough of this apartment or italy Perfect other than to say we will be back

My family and I had a magical trip to Rome this past year, in large part because of the accommodations provided by Italy Perfect! The positive experience started on arrival when we discovered the description of the flat was absolutely spot on. From the size of the unit, to amenities, and location...everything is honestly described. Our unit was lovely and the location was exactly what we were looking for. We were graciously greeted and felt right at home immediately. We are experienced travelers, but we hadn't tried the rental option before. Now I want to use this company anytime we travel in a country in which it operates. Thanks Pat for your communication prior to the trip. All my questions were answered and you provided so much information and useful tips...I never missed not having a concierge. You gave my family a cherished memory that will last a lifetime. Those are the moments in our lives that really count!

Location, location, location and great balconies
5 of 5 We were met by Elvi when we arrived at the angelina apartment. She was most gracious and helpful. The apartment was exactly as described on the Italy Perfect web site. It is spacious with a fully stocked kitchen and a very comfortable queen bed. The bathroom is very modern and roomy. You can enjoy breakfast or afternoon wine on the balcony that is just off the living room, or choose the rooftop terrace that is up the winding stairway. This apartment is in the best location in Rome. It is within a short walk to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and many wonderful restaurants. We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment to our friends traveling to Rome.

A Perfect Place to Explore RomeGuest comment entered by owner
A Perfect Place to Explore Rome
The Angelina was a highlight of our trip to Rome. Perched above the bustle of the area, it was so quiet and peaceful. The 2 terraces made breakfasts and evenings an enchantment. The apartment was large and elegant with a lovely bathroom and usable kitchen. And the location was fantastic. Right in between the Trevi Fountain and the non stop carnival that is the Spanish Steps, the apartment was an oasis of calm. It is close to major bus lines and between 2 subway stops (Barbarino and Spanish Steps). There are so many gorgeous shops and cafes to explore within 5 minutes of this location. And a very fine grocery store/supermarket is literally around the corner with meats, vegetables, cheeses, fruit, snacks and wine. The information that Italy Perfect provided was personal and precise. They couldn't have been more gracious and helpful with tips and advice prior to our trip. I enthusiastically recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Rome!

Angelina is a beautiful apartment in the heart of Rome. Strategically situated between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, this place is in the heart of the action. We are a couple traveling with our 8-year old daughter. She loved her room, located in the loft above the living area/kitchen. Our bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The air conditioning was perfect and very welcome on the hot August days. We loved the balcony outside the living area and the rooftop terrace. Elvi greeted us graciously and had the refrigerator stocked with some welcome items, like milk, juice, coffee, sugar, and breakfast biscuits. The recommended driver, Stefano, was prompt, dependable and efficient. The apartment is located next to many great restaurants, and the grocery store is just around the corner. There is a taxi stand in the piazza near the Spanish Steps, and we always found cabs waiting there. There is a Metro stop at the Spanish Steps and a bus stop that is even closer. It is an easy walk to Villa Borghese, where our daughter loved to ride the rented rickshaws. It is also within easy walking distance of Piazza Novona, Campo di Fiori, and the Pantheon. This apartment has everything. It is well managed and the location is fabulous. We highly recommend it!

Perfect as Promised
From the time Stefano picked us up from the airport till he returned us a week later everything was perfect as promised. Our greeter Elvie was waiting to show us all the features of the apartment which she did with great enthusiasm & genuine warmth. All the extras such as milk, juice, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. were a lovely surprise, rarely provided in other apartments. The Spanish Steps area is so central that we were able to walk to many of the major sights including the Borghese Gardens & Galleria, a must see (be sure to book). Our favourite restaurant in Rome is Da Francesco in the Piazza del Fico (off Piazza Navona). Have already recommended Italy Pefect to friends & can't wait to experience our London Perfect apartment in a couple of months. We have rented many apartments in Europe over the years and this is our best one yet. Thanks Pat.

Icing on the cake....
To be in Rome was a dream come true, to stay in the Angelina apartment completed it. Elvi greeted us with a smile, then explained everything from the door locks to the washing machine (open the curtains and let the sunshine dry your clothes)The rooftop terrace was a great spot for watching the sunset over St Peter's with a vino or two.We never used public transport (but the bus stop is around the corner also) and found that by walking to The Vatican (30minutes) and also the Colossseum/ Forum(30minutes) we saw so much more. The Spanish steps and the Trevi fountain were around the corner. A good supermarket(with a wine shop) was in the next block, as was so many cafes/restaurants. We organised Stefano as our driver and he was on time ,everytime and our daytrip with him to Tivoli was perfect. A Roman born and bred, with so much pride. I have already recommended Italy Perfect to friends. You can believe the photos...it is, that good!

About the owner: This apartment is offered by Italy Perfect. We are a family business with a mission! We want you to love visiting Italy as much as we do. We are sisters Lisa and Pat Byrne who lived in Italy in our youth and now travel there frequently for business and pleasure. We offer only short term rentals that we carefully hand pick for their locations, furnishings, amenities, and that we can personally recommend and would want to stay in ourselves. We travel frequently to inspect, and usually stay in, the rentals we represent. We select vacation rentals that offer charm, good locations, cleanliness, quality furnishings and hospitable welcomes. We count the number of steps up to the property, check the size of the refrigerator, shower, listen for noise, inventory the kitchen equipment and even inspect the mattresses. This is our most important point of differentiation which sets us apart from many other vacation rental firms. Even with careful advance research and personal connections, we still choose to not represent more than 50% of the properties we visit. And, once we agree to represent a property we regularly re-inspect it to ensure our standards are being met.
