Today David and I sat out on your deck, soaking up the winter sunshine and watching the reflections of sun on the water. It was very peaceful and relaxing and provided us with a much needed break from work. Thank you for your kindness. It was a pleasure spending two weeks in you beautiful villa. We enjoyed the apartment and the full package of amenities, the veranda with the great view, the immediate area and Athens. Sorry we didn’t have the chance to meet but a a BIG THANK YOU! To Rosa for all her help. This was great trip for myself and dad. It was great seeing him ger reacquainted with the “patrida”. Certainly hope to be back!!

Our group of 9 stayed at the villa while 5 of us ran the Athens Classic Marathon. The house was most comfortable and well appointed. We were all so comfortable there. It was a great getaway! The views from the top deck are fantastic. Communication from the owner and his property manager were most excellent. The property manager communicated with us before our visit and met us upon our arrival. Her husband (who runs a tour and taxi business) looked after our wives while we ran the marathon. Travel to Athens, Delphi and to the Temple of Posiden was very easy from the villa. The beach was close and most enjoyable. If you want to see Athens (and surrounding area) and don't want to stay in the city you should consider this property. You get a view, peace and quiet, and a feeling of safety and security. Great place!

As it is impossible to capture in a photograph the beauty surrounding this place it is equally difficult putting into a few words what the time spent here meant to us. We leave with many photographs and stories of our travels to share with family and friends. Burt more importantly we return home with a new understanding of the richness and yet simplicity that is reflected in the people of this country. We will remember , the time spent on the veranda, looking out at the sea and also the evening of the “locals” ( a small hairless fox) stopped by to share a meal. Even though our photo collection will contain many images of the destinations in Greece; memories of this beautiful place will be what fills our hearts, until we are able to return. Me and my family spend two marvellous weeks of visiting ancient monuments under a burning sun, and then relaxing here in a gentle breeze. Although the terrace was the one thing we were looking forward to, the real view still astonished us, as it could easily match up to the ones from Delphi and the Acropolis (especially at night). With its clear starry sky, the bright big moon illuminating the sea and the city in the background, this view alone would have been reason enough to come here. Beside this 'expected highlight', this house offered us a few ones which we didn't expect. So although there is an air conditioner in nearly every room, we only needed them once in our two week stay, thanks to a constant and mostly gentle breeze cooling the house in a natural way. Then we found out that the kitchen even exceeded our own in a few aspects. And last but not least, the shy friendly fox sometimes appearing at the back door and craving for a bit meat or egg in a manner that you can not overlook him. Well so much to the place, now to the person. Xenophon, you were a brilliant host with your friendly, merry attitude and your well balanced English. You were there when we needed you and took care of everything but at the same time left us enough room to breath. We really appreciate your efforts, both the ones that lead to this wonderful house and the ones that made our stay such a special experience and can only say 'Thank you'.

The Villa MoonRay was an excellent choice for my wife, my self and fellow travelers. Everyone, all eight of us found the experence very rewarding. Kodos to Rosa and Stavros for all there help and the knowlegde needed for us to complete all we wanted and more. It took a short time for us to learn how to travel to Athens and the driving was not all that bad if you have a GPS with a chip purchased in the USA, it will have no prior details, that will be in Greek if you rent a GPS their. We are from the city so having acommodations that were quiet were a plus. We did see a red fox and coyote, both very harmless. Just have your camera ready. The night air was great, the view terrific. The accommodations very neat, spacious and comfortable. The locals very friendly. Public transportation in Greece, very easy and very clean. We travel to Delphi, Corinth, Sparta and the Islands everyone was nice and me being an African American I found that a double plus. People were engaging to us and wanted to no what part of the U.S. we came from and how was our economy. The resturants and everyone who worked their were very warm and the Greek food very great. I'll miss the Greek food. American Greeks have lost their touch. I should have purchase a Greek recipe book. The owner is very nice and wanted only to satisfy his renters and he is also engaging. If I return to Greece I would definitely pick Villa MoonRay. Just watch the sandy beaches, you will get stuck in the soft sand. Rosa warned us about the sand, my friend just want some adventure against my advice. But no problems, the locals helped us get out. don't forget to bring an American adapter for Europe, Greece.

Thank you also, Rosa and Stavros –two nicer people can not be found anywhere. Roya, our oldest daughter could not come because of her pregnancy. She read your emails to us prior to our trip and couldn’t believe how helpful you were, even then. Thank you, Rosa, for tips on where to eat, how to find the post office, and so many other things! And, Stavros, you are so knowledgeable –you should be a history professor! Thank you for a wonderful trip to Athens! Dear Xenophon, dear Rosa We did follow all the suggestions Rosa gave to us and we had a marvelous time. We saw the Acropolis and Athens fleamarket(on Sunday), Delphi, Epidaurus and Mycenae and it was all so very quiet this time of the year. We went up the spectacular Parnassus mountain to ski. We even took a quick swim in the Aegean ski. It was our first time in Ellada and we loved it. Especially the people Efcharisto and kind regards PS. Great House

Dear Xenophon 9 August 2008 I write this as I sit outside looking at the wonderful view…..it’s so peaceful here really very beautiful. It is a truly unique area, as we sit here in the August hear no noise of tourists and only a few locals on the beach! We have loved our time here with you and your wonderful family. I am just frustrated I didn’t have the chance to talk with your mother; she is a lovely lady. Of course a big thank you for your wonderful hospitality-Cole has had a great time with Nikitas- and we do hope we will see you all again in the coming years. Dear Xenophon The two weeks we made your sky suite our home in Greece were wonderful! The place exceeded our expectations, we settled in and felt at home immediately. The incredible terrace is the absolute highlight, and we tried to spend as much time as possible out there. Your help, care and recommendations were of great assistance from local tavernas to butchers to finding our way through the Peloponnese. We thank you for your kindness and hospitality. Dear Xenophon and family April 18, 2008 I was very impressed with your generous hospitality and meticulous details to ensure our comfort. You gave sound advice and went that extra mile (like the Marathon Runner), nothing was a bother. I did not know what to expect of Greece and what it had to offer, but now feel rewarded that I have been and covered areas of Athens, Marathon lake and Schinias. The days have been full and long, and referring to the Villa was like home ( a home away from home). Xenophon’s communications indicate warmth and hospitality. It appears Villa Moon Ray’s beautiful architecture and interior design reflects the integrity and personality of the host family. Although my party of extended family and friends could not stay in 2008, we were treated with respect and fairness. We are looking forward to staying at Villa Moon Ray in 2009 or 2010. Cher Xenophon 4 Octobre 2007 Lorsque nous sommes arrives (après quelques heures du retard) nous avons tout d’abord ete tres touches par votre accueil. En effet, vous nous attendier a l’aeroport bien bien qu’il etait deja nuit !.. Nous avons trouve dans votre jolie villa le calme et le repos dont nous avions tant besoin…. La plage de Schinias est idealement situee,tres belle avec la pinede en bordure de mer. Nous avons beaucoup apprecie la cuisine Grecque, les cafes frappes sur la plage, le soleil d’Octobre…. Nous ganderons un excellent souvenir de notre sejour dans la reputee « plaine de Marathon » Merci pour les conseils « pratiques », les bonnes adresses de restaurant et de visite. Dear Xenophon 21st September 2007 After nearly a 35 year absence from Athens and Schinias beach, it was very nice to come back. Quite a few changes in Athens, especially the public transport, but luckily not many changes at Schinias. A very nice house in a wonderful location, with spectacular views especially at night. The welcome we received from you and your family was greatly appreciated,as were the welcoming gift of fruit and wine and the many personal touches that you took the trouble to provide for us. As I write this I am looking at the magnificent view from your Villa. We have enjoyed our stay here. We have enjoyed quiet days on the beach and delighted in superb days out in Athens and Mycene. All of this has been enhanced by your kind hospitality and generous help. The helpful advice you gave us, based on your knowledge of your native land, its culture and history, has been much appreciated by both of us. Today we intend to visit Sounion and its vicinity on your recommendation. We are confident it will prove to be as good a day out as your previous suggestions! Greece with its mountains, islands and sea is a beautiful country as is England, in a different way. One needs to experience both in full measure. You would be welcome to visit us, should you wish to take in the soft green rolling hills, woods and valleys of the English Midlands. We wish you well in your enterprise and say not goodbye (which is adieu) but au revoir!

Dear Xenophon We would like to thank you for our excellent vacations spent in our house. We really appreciated your kindness, flexibility and everything you have done in order we enjoy our holidays (from the airport to the departure) Your house is really pleasant, comfortable and really easy to live. Dear Xenophon July 17,2007 We have enjoyed our visit. We love your house,it is nice and cool after a hot day outside and it stays cool through the night. It is very calming place after coming from busy Athens. Everything was just super nice. You took care of us and that makes us feel great. We feel like we can come to you with our questions.
