Howard's End is a beautiful, newly constructed, 1000-square-foot cabin with very comfy furnishings, a great kitchen with large open living/dining areas. An upstairs loft can sleep four, the downstairs bedroom sleeps two, and there is a pull-out sofabed in the living room. It is great for a family, or for a couple enjoying peace and quiet. You will love the back deck and the front porch any time of the day!
This beautiful cabin rests on one acre of land, and is nestled by tall Ponderosa pines and aspens. Enjoy the sound of tranquil Cherry Creek running through the back yard. Abundant wildlife on this no-hunting mountain. In spring and summer everything is green and in fall it is a golden wonderland. In winter light a fire and snuggle in, or head for Monarch Ski area to ski or go for a midnight snow shoe during a full moon.
Howard's End is just 11 miles from beautiful and historic Salida at the base of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. You can enjoy live theatre, great dining, friendly pubs, shopping, hot springs pools, winery, live music in the park, and holiday parades! In the winter, enjoy the scenic 40-minute drive to Monarch Ski Area for skiing (downhill and cross country), snow shoeing, and snowmobiling. In the warmer months, enjoy all that the Arkansas River has to offer - fishing, rafting, kayaking, and more! Bring your bikes, boots, skis, camera, or just a great book. This is a stress-free playground where you can enjoy the sounds of silence!
